I’m tied up?!

What happened?

Where am I?

“Finally ,the kid’s awake. Yanagidate Masashi, am I correct?”

“Wait, how do you know my name? Full government nonetheless.”

“Let’s just say I work for the government, and we have retrieved you to be put into investigation.”

“Unfortunately for you, somehow, someway. The terrifying entity known as the sovereign of the UnWritten, entered your body.”

“Come again?”

“The thing that is inside you, is something that existed long ago during the Nara period. Now what I am going to say is going to sound crazy, but real.”

“That monster currently in you was a pretty feared person during that era, I don’t know how, I don’t know why. But it found its way inside of you.”

“I feel bad for your situation, we never had something at this level come up. Tch, I wonder how this happened to you, kid.”

So that guy inside my Subconscious was really someone who was feared by many thousands of years ago?

“Not to worry, we can remove it from you. But that process requires you to die.”

Eh?

“You said not to worry. Now you have me devastated, I’m going to die anyways?”

“Take a look around, there’s a bunch of tags around suppressing his energy from leaking out. Which would have allowed him to take you over, though you do seem to have the natural strength to suppress him.”

“I wonder why that is?”

“You know why you’re able to contain him? Do tell because it’s unusual for someone to contain dangerous entities within themselves.”

“Honestly, It just happened so fast, this man…”

“No. That thing, came in talking about hosts. To be frank with you I just don’t know anymore.”

“B-but, when you found me, did you ever see anyone leaving or was near the area around me?”

“No not all, we did find residual traces of Tamaryoku but we assumed it was the sovereign that was housed in you leaking out.”

If his energy was leaking out from me, Shimizu!

wouldn’t Shimizu notice it.

Could it be after that man did something to me, all of this started to happen.

But that doesn’t make sense.

Why did it happen to me?

He was talking about others who were hosts.

So you’re telling me I was the only successful one?

“Hmm alright, I see, yes I understand…”

“Well looks like you aren’t dying today, well that concludes our talk about your current situation you’ll be handed over to a man who knows more about this than me.”

Why am I oddly calm about this?

It’s like my body language is different, I’m not even shaking from what he said.

Click

“Good to see they sent someone like you, hopefully you can figure out this situation, as it’s quite rare among the things we deal with.”

“Saijou.”

“Well, what do we have here, alright Yamanashi I’ll take it from here.”

“Alright then, since you have this situation in your hands. I’ll leave you to it.”

That man left but why do I feel a sense of relief for once?

This tall opposing man was really left to handle my situation?

“Oh wow, it really did merge with you. This makes things difficult.”

“That’s interesting, it’s already starting to become acclimated to you and it hasn’t even been a day.”

“As I was informed, and what I can see. You can hold him alright, but without proper seals, I don’t know if it can last.”

Everyone here is so imposing, It’s like they’re breathing down on my neck, without being near me.

Though those light eyes and eyelashes really remind me of someone else.

Wha?

“I’ll be a mentor of sorts, I’ll help you get accustomed to this new life your about have, I’ll train you and teach you the basics.”

“Wait what do you mean ‘new life’ what’s going to happen? To me, am I going to move or something, wait, my aunt is going to worry, my family, what are they going to think?”

“Again, no worries, that should be under control. You won’t actually start a new life as you think you’ll just get accustomed to your current situation.”

“I still have questions, where am I really? And what is going to happen to me after this?”

Why is he smiling?

I don’t think this situation give me hope.

Though he remind me of someone, ah, does it matter…

“Essentially we are part of the government, we help with dealing with all things involving Tamaryoku. Like powerful entities you can say are curses, Yokai, all the things you would say are fiction.”

“Quite crazy, ain’t it?”

“Well I wouldn’t consider it all farfetched, but I suppose I am used to it.”

“Used to it huh, well my my that should be a good start for you to start learning about things normal people can’t fathom to understand.”

“So what’s going to happen now? That I am being tied up like this.”

“No worries, I’ll deal with that.”

SHLINCK

There’s no way he moved so fast?!

“Alright then, shall we get going, Yanagidate.”

“Where exactly are we going?”

“You’re going to be judged, unfortunately, despite you being under my wing.”

“The higher ups would have this planned out anyway. I can’t exactly save you but I’d advise you not to say anything that goes against you.”

So it’s just going to get worse huh, just when I thought I had hope.

Could this be over already?

…..

WOOSH

Is this door big?

Guess it’s like court after all.

“Syuuto Saijou! You have come, and you brought the vessel of the Unwritten one ….”

“Well I won’t give introductions. Since we know what we’re all here for.”

“Very well let’s get to it.”

BRANG!

“Yanagidate Masashi! You have been brought here for holding a dangerous entity. An infamous one no doubt.”

“With the amount of cults and terrorist groups that have been popping up in the last four years. I question if you’re a part of this? Many of them try ridiculous things involving rituals, sacrifices, and all sorts of terrible things.”

“What do you have to say for yourself? The danger of your situation has caused us to determine your execution. Dying along with that dangerous thing.”

“Mr. Ashikaga, we do not know if this boy was even involved in-”

“NOT ANOTHER WORD!”

Damn his voice does sound gruff.

“We’ve witnessed these types of cases and things similar towards it. We have come to the conclusion he needs to be dealt with!”

“It’s for the greater good of society. Things like him should not exist, not while being alive with a thing as dangerous as that.”

“Oh my, please calm it down a bit Ashikaga.”

“Now Syuuto, you know what we think of it? It’s akin to a nuclear bomb walking around. While I do think Ashikaga is correct in killing the boy. We know your power is one of the very few capable of keeping him checked.”

Woah, she sounds like his mother or something.

“Ms. Kurogane. Even if he harbors such a dangerous thing, I’m sure I can keep it in check, there’s no need for the death penalty right away.”

“Syuuto! You look at me.”

This is getting intense, I can feel the pressure just staring at me.

Damn, even my hands are shaking.

“What I really worry about! Is it whether you can really handle something like it.”

“This creature’s strength isn’t measurable by normal means.”

“I question you about this? If you can’t happen to secure and deal with that power, what will you do? As far as I know, Sendai fell because of that.”

“Even with the likes of you, massive amounts of life were lost. I don’t know If I could trust you with a task like this.”

“Well Mr. Ashikage, you’re judging me off when I was younger, how cruel.”

“It’s only fair, at that time we lost Sendai, we lost many valuable personnel. It was a devastating blow to us. We have only recovered less than half of our forces since then.” This story is hosted at novelping . com.

“Nevertheless, the execution is postponed until further notice. We still don’t know the lengths that things grasp on power.”

“One thing is certain.”

“We do not want another Sendai! Do you understand how horrible of a day that was?”

“Let’s not lose more lives than we lost that day.”

“You are dismissed! Plan what you are going to do carefully next time.”

Wa?

Am I not going to get my sentence?

If they wanted me dead, they would have done that.

It would have made sense in my mind if they did, that has me sweating more than anything, shit.

That atmosphere was intense… Those eyes that kept staring at me.

It just seems like I am going to die anyways, huh, interesting.

If I can survive a little more, then maybe I could prove something.

“Well, they have decided on what they’re going to do. Until then try to keep your head on.”

“They have eyes for you, and I don’t think you would want to test their patience.”

“Come on. I’ll get you up to speed. After all, they would rather have you dead, so let them know you’re a useful asset.”

“And I gotta teach you the basics then, huh. Well I’ll tell you about it when we reach the training facilities.”

I’ll be treated like a dog huh?

Now I have prove my worth?

What the fuck is this?

This just keeps getting worse.

“Come on. Try to keep up!”

We’re picking up the pace so fast?

“Like what Mr. Yamanashi might have said to you when you were brought in. This is a branch of the main Japanese government, though we’re pretty large for being that.”

“Mainly we have five bases of operation, one in Tokyo where we are right now, another in Osaka, one in Miyazaki, one in Asahikawa and the last one is Fukushima.”

“Those are pretty far spread out huh? But I’ve always wanted to visit the southern parts of Japan.”

“That one is pretty nice, if you catch what I mean, it’s always a lot of fun going down there… Anyways, we used to have fifth place.”

“Oh? Is it somewhere really secret like off island? Or maybe in another country? I’m just shouting out ideas… sorry if they sound crazy.”

“It’s all good, actually the location we used to have was in Miyagi. Sendai… it was a pretty good one. I actually liked it for a while, though I have to ask, have you heard about what happened to Sendai in the past 15 years?”

“Apparently the entire city was collapsed by some sort of terrorist attack, everything was leveled.”

“It was impossible to live there anymore and it was considered dangerous. I think I heard it had something to do foreign interference, but I might be wrong about that part.”

“Well you’re right about the basic parts, but what happened to Sendai was far worse than a tragedy. In fact it was a calamity that came over. And back then I couldn’t have done much but watch.”

“Oh… I’m sorry it went that way.”

“Don’t feel sorry about it, as it was something way out of our hands at the time. Even to this day, it is a restricted zone.”

“Nearly 470 thousand people died, it was one of the worst incidents in this country’s history.”

“I could only hope for better things to come. Well then, let’s carry on Masashi.”

“Yeah…”

It’s already past ten huh, damn I should be in my bed right about now.

“As you can see, our facilities are quite marvelous! To be honest I don’t know how we reached a super advanced system, but it works nonetheless.”

“Oh damn, you’re telling me this place is super advanced.

Then why not use this technology for the rest of society?

“Long story short, the government is holding a monopoly on said technology. There are strict laws surrounding it, heck even the basic things are forbidden. Though it can be said they are selfish.”

Woah to be honest, I’m not completely surprised about it.

“We have healthcare facilities, pretty cool staff!”

“You’re annoying…”

“Don’t mind him.”

“Yeah that sounds pretty cool and all, but when am I getting released? Even if they decide to put the execution off?”

“That’s a trick question, but honestly, I don’t know what they really want to do with you.”

Shit.
