“Young Master Shao, there’s a call from the Police Station.”

Amid the thumping, chaotic beats of the music, Han Tao handed the phone to the man reclining on the sofa.

Shao Kunye leaned lazily against the couch, one arm draped over the backrest. Beautiful women surrounded him, and a careless, roguish aura radiated off him.Full novel: Young Master Shao, The Police Reported You Have a Son! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He glanced at the incoming call and casually pressed to answer.

On the other end, the police chief spoke respectfully, “Young Master Shao.”

Shao Kunye held a cigarette between his lips and walked to a quieter corner. “Director Chen? Something wrong?”

Background noise included children crying, making the line sound even busier. Director Chen hesitated before speaking, “Young Master Shao… a child came to our Police Station to report a case. He said he’s looking for his father…”

Shao Kunye’s eyes swept across the messy private room. “Since when did I start doing Director Chen’s job of finding kids?”

Director Chen broke into a cold sweat. “You misunderstood. How could we ever trouble you with something like this?”

He glanced at the child on the chair, crying pitifully, and braced himself. “The child said the father he’s looking for is… Shao Kunye.”

“That is you, Young Master Shao.”

Silence filled the line, the cries of the child growing louder in the background.

“My dad abandoned Mom and me. He never raised us!”

“Daddy is a terrible man. I’m going to sue him for abandonment!”

“Uncle Police, hurry up and arrest my dad! Give him the death penalty!”

Director Chen swallowed nervously. “Young Master Shao, you see…”

Shao Kunye’s expression didn’t change, but his voice carried an edge. “Director Chen, do I need to tell you how to handle this?”

People had tried to cozy up to him recklessly before. The police always dealt with them.

And now, someone actually came asking for his instructions.

Director Chen wiped the sweat from his brow. “Young Master Shao, this situation is a bit different. That child… Anyway, you should come see for yourself.”

Listening to Director Chen’s hesitant words, Shao Kunye’s eyes narrowed slightly.

After hanging up, he stood and walked out.

He wanted to see which fool dared to try to con him.

Behind him, a man called out, “Young Master Shao, where are you going? Our business isn’t—”

The only response was the sound of the private room door closing.

At the Police Station, the little boy sniffled pitifully.

“Daddy left Mom alone and never came back.”

“Only Mom worked hard to raise me. The TV says this is abandonment—you can sue for it!”

“So, Uncle Police, hurry up and arrest that scumbag!”

The police officers exchanged glances, none daring to respond.

Everyone knew that the entire West Coast City was ruled by the Shao family.

Arresting Shao Kunye was practically a death sentence.

At that moment, footsteps approached, carrying a gust of wind.

Someone whispered, “Young Master Shao, you’re here!”

The crowd instinctively parted. Shao Kunye walked in from the doorway, cigarette dangling from his lips.

His black shirt was casually open, revealing sharply defined abs. A hollow bullet necklace hung from his neck. Simply standing there, he exuded an invisible sense of pressure.

Director Chen immediately stepped forward. “Young Master Shao, you’re here?”

Shao Kunye exhaled smoke. “Where’s the kid?”

Director Chen knew exactly who he meant and cautiously pointed in a direction.

Following his gaze, a roughly three-year-old boy sat obediently on a chair.

Seeing the boy’s face, Han Tao blinked in surprise. “Young Master Shao…”

Shao Kunye’s eyes narrowed dangerously.

The resemblance was uncanny.

He looked exactly like Shao Kunye as a child, as if cast from the same mold.

Seeing Shao Kunye’s reaction, Director Chen realized he was thinking the same thing and spoke carefully. “Young Master Shao, don’t you think this child looks very much like you? I was startled the first time I saw him.”

At first, he had thought someone was trying to con money by pretending to be Shao Kunye’s son. But seeing the child’s face, he had been genuinely shocked.

No amount of plastic surgery could replicate this likeness.

Director Chen dared not act rashly. If this truly was Shao Kunye’s child and he handled it himself, trouble would surely follow. That was why he called for instructions.

Shao Kunye remained silent, his gaze bottomless.

The surroundings fell silent. The boy looked up and saw the man from TV standing in front of him.

The boy’s eyes widened, and he blurted out, “Scumbag!”

The crowd collectively drew in a breath.

No one in West Coast City had dared insult Shao Kunye—until now.

The boy ran to Director Chen, tugging at his sleeve. “Uncle Police, that’s my dad! Hurry and arrest him!”

Director Chen gave an awkward smile.

He must have lost his mind to do something like this.

Shao Kunye stretched his long legs and sat down in the chair.

A police officer immediately brought him tea.

From his elevated position, Shao Kunye looked down at the little boy, nearly identical to him, and exhaled smoke. “You say you’re my son?”

The boy placed his hands on his hips. “Yes!”

Shao Kunye sneered. “I don’t have a son like you.”

Seeing his father deny him, the boy’s anger flared. “You scumbag! You bullied my mom and still won’t admit I’m yours!”

Shao Kunye asked calmly, “What’s your mom’s name?”

The boy enunciated clearly, “Wen Xi!”

Among all the women around Shao Kunye, none had that name.

He was now more certain the child was lying.

As for the face, either it was a coincidence or surgically altered. Shao Kunye extinguished his cigarette in a glass of water and stood. “Director Chen, handle it as you see fit. Don’t let me see him again.”

Director Chen froze.

Just like that, Shao Kunye dismissed the matter so simply?

He couldn’t help glancing at the boy.

Could it really be that the child had no connection to Shao Kunye?

It made sense. Shao Kunye was always cautious. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have gone all these years without a single illegitimate child.

Shao Kunye turned to leave, but the next second, the boy leapt and clung to his thigh, shouting, “Daddy! Five years ago, in the Tiansheng Hotel room, you bullied Mom! Don’t you remember?”

Five years ago.

Shao Kunye’s instincts sharpened at that phrase. He looked down, exuding a low-pressure, dangerous aura. “Say that again.”

The boy puffed his chest. “Mom wrote it all in her diary! You dragged her into a room, did terrible things to her, and then never came back!”

The officers present exchanged glances, sensing a huge scandal.

Everyone knew Shao Kunye could summon countless women with a finger. Could he really have committed such a crime?

Tiansheng Hotel.

Hearing that name, Shao Kunye’s eyes narrowed dangerously.

It was the only time someone had set him up.

He had drunk wine offered by a girl who looked like a little white rabbit, only to end up burned.

Memories of the girl’s large, watery eyes, smooth skin, soft waist, and trembling whispers pleading him to be gentle flashed through his mind.

Shao Kunye’s eyes darkened as he looked at the boy. “How old are you?”

The boy held up three fingers. “I’m three this year!”

Three years old.

It matched the timing of his encounter with the girl.

Shao Kunye sneered, tossing the child to Han Tao. “Take him for a paternity test. I want the results within two hours.”
