Shao Kunye’s gaze fell on Wen Xi.

At that moment, she was wrapped only in a towel, her hair wet and dripping, her snow-white shoulders exposed to the air, revealing two slender legs.

The towel barely covered her upper thighs; if it shifted any higher, she would be completely exposed.Full novel: Young Master Shao, The Police Reported You Have a Son! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Wen Xi felt uncomfortable under his stare and shrank her neck.

Shao Kunye leaned against the door with his arms crossed. “Where are your clothes?”

Wen Xi fidgeted and pulled the T-shirt from behind her, holding it out. “It’s already ruined.”

Shao Kunye glanced at the T-shirt in her hands. The threads had come apart from the hem all the way to the chest—it was completely unwearable.

It was the same T-shirt she had worn the day he went to the Jiang Family.

Shao Kunye remembered that Wen Xi had brought only one T-shirt, likely washed countless times. That night at the hotel, it had even been partially torn by him—it was a miracle it had lasted this long.

Now that Wen Xi reminded him, Shao Kunye realized she had been wearing it every day recently, always clean, carrying the scent of baby powder.

She had probably washed it at night and wore it again the next day.

Seeing the pleading look in Wen Xi’s eyes, Shao Kunye released the door handle. “Go pick one from the walk-in closet yourself.”

That was his permission. Wen Xi’s face lit up as she followed him into the room. The space was enormous; it took her a while to find the walk-in closet.

Calling it a walk-in closet almost felt like an understatement.

Over a hundred square meters of space displayed clothes, luxury watches, and ties in organized sections, dazzling the eyes.

Wen Xi couldn’t help but gasp.

But she didn’t forget the task at hand and hurried to pick out clothes.

Shao Kunye was nearly 1.9 meters tall; his clothes were too large for Wen Xi. She hesitated for a long time before finally spotting a somewhat fitting black T-shirt.

Shao Kunye sat on the sofa, his view perfectly capturing the walk-in closet.

Wen Xi reached for the shirt, standing on tiptoe because of her height. As she stretched, the towel wrapped around her shifted upward, revealing half of her body, soft and delicate like silken tofu.

Shao Kunye’s eyes darkened, a subtle shadow of emotion creeping in.

Wen Xi had no idea she was exposed and continued reaching for the shirt.

Suddenly, a cold, dangerous aura came from behind. As she touched the hanger, a hand covered hers, gripping her wrist.

Wen Xi shivered and stumbled backward, bumping into Shao Kunye’s solid chest.

She looked up, meeting his bottomless eyes.

Something pressed against her through the towel. Having had similar experiences before, she quickly realized what it was and instinctively tried to move away.

“I-I’ve picked out the clothes,” she stammered.

Shao Kunye lifted Wen Xi and pressed her against the mirror. The cold glass made her shiver.

His teasing voice came from in front of her. “We’ll wear that later.”

Within half an hour of finishing her shower, Wen Xi had already gotten dirty again.

She wore the oversized black T-shirt she picked from Shao Kunye’s closet, looking like a child sneaking into an adult’s clothes.

Her petite frame made the shirt appear even looser, hiding her shorts beneath the long hem, giving the illusion that she wasn’t wearing pants. Her fair, shapely legs swung slightly in front of him.

Wen Xi nervously clutched the edge of the shirt. “I’ll pay you back for the clothes.”

Shao Kunye let out a scoff.

Wen Xi probably had no idea how expensive the shirt was; she wouldn’t be able to repay it even if she cleaned the Villa for her whole life.

Considering she had just eaten her fill, Shao Kunye unusually decided to be generous. “Keep it. Consider it compensation for tearing your clothes that night.”

Just mentioning that incident brought back the memory of him pressing her against the mirror.

She instinctively glanced back, feeling as if the marks on the mirror were her fault.

Her cheeks burned as she looked at Shao Kunye, casually draping his robe over himself. His broad, firm chest was partially visible. She quickly turned her face away but didn’t leave immediately.

Perhaps the man was in a good mood, so Wen Xi mustered courage. “Sh… Young Master Shao.”

She had learned to call him that from others, and this was the first time she dared say it herself. Her voice was soft and light, and although the words were the same, it sounded entirely different coming from her.

It was as if fresh, juicy cherries had been placed in the air, giving it a sweet aura.

Seeing her hesitation, Shao Kunye tied the robe’s belt. “Speak your mind.”

Wen Xi took a deep breath. “I have some things still at the Jiang Family. Can I go back and get them?”

Shao Kunye glanced at her.

If she just wanted to retrieve some items, why report to him?

Sure enough, Wen Xi stammered again. “B-But I don’t dare go alone.”

Shao Kunye understood. Jiang Songde had sold Wen Xi to Chen Jinpeng. If she went back alone, she might not come out.

He didn’t speak. The room grew silent.

Wen Xi’s palms became sweaty, her confidence fading. She quickly added, “If it’s inconvenient for you, it’s fine. I can go by myself.”

Standing under the light, the bite marks on her neck were clearly visible—the ones left when he pressed her against the closet mirror.

Even though her whole body shivered in pain, she dared not make a sound.

She tried her best to cooperate, afraid he would be displeased and send her away.

Shao Kunye suddenly asked, “What do you need to get?”

Wen Xi brightened. “My parents’ belongings… and Liyang’s things.”

Shao Kunye paused. “Let Han Tao accompany you.”

Her eyes lit up, surprised he had agreed. “Okay, thank you.”

Seeing her so happy, Shao Kunye showed no reaction. He had only agreed to let her fetch a few things—why was she so pleased?

The next morning, Han Tao drove Wen Xi back to the Jiang Family.

The car stopped across the street. Wen Xi unbuckled her seatbelt. “I can go in by myself,” she told Han Tao through the window.

Han Tao glanced toward the Villa. “Are you sure?”

Wen Xi nodded.

Since she was officially Young Master Shao’s person now, Han Tao assumed the Jiang Family wouldn’t dare act recklessly. He didn’t insist. “Call me if anything happens.”

“Thank you,” Wen Xi said.

After she entered the Villa, Han Tao remained in the car, idly fiddling with his phone.

At the Jiang Family, Wen Xi’s return caused chaos.

Jiang Tinglu had just come downstairs when he saw a familiar figure at the door—it was Wen Xi, who had been taken away by Shao Kunye for several days.

“It’s you!”

Jiang Tinglu rushed forward angrily, raising a hand to strike her.

But another hand blocked him.

Jiang Tinglu turned to see Jiang Songde. “Dad, why are you stopping me?”

Jiang Songde was smarter than Jiang Tinglu. He knew last time Wen Xi was taken away, it was Shao Kunye, not anyone else.

“Calm down,” Jiang Songde said, pressing Jiang Tinglu’s hand down. He looked at Wen Xi. “Why are you back?”

Wen Xi lowered her lashes, her voice quiet. “I’m here to get my things.”

Jiang Songde narrowed his eyes. “Get your things? What do you mean?”

“I’m going to live with Young Master Shao from now on, along with Liyang.”

“Live with Young Master Shao?” Jiang Tinglu’s eyes widened, voice rising. “Say that again!”

Her tone was so sharp that Wen Xi instinctively stepped back, like a frightened animal.

Jiang Songde glanced at Wen Xi—she was alone.

Shao Kunye hadn’t come with her.

Of course he hadn’t. With his status, there was no way he would accompany Wen Xi just to get her things.

This gave Jiang Songde the perfect opportunity. He wanted to extract the secret from Wen Xi before she returned. Once she left, it would be much harder to see her again.

Time passed, and Han Tao in the car suddenly sensed something was wrong.

He checked his watch—it had been over an hour.

Even taking items shouldn’t take this long.

Frowning, Han Tao got out and headed toward the Villa. Before he could enter, he heard shouting inside.

Wen Xi’s cries rang out: “Uncle Jiang, I really didn’t know!”

“Please let me go… it hurts so much…”

Her voice was weak and pitiful, as if it could vanish at any moment.

Han Tao froze, then hurriedly pushed open the door.

The sudden intrusion froze everyone inside.

Seeing Han Tao at the doorway, Jiang Songde’s face changed. “Mr. Han?”

Why was someone from Shao Kunye’s side here?

Han Tao’s eyes fell on Wen Xi, curled on the ground like a cornered little animal, trembling. Her wrists were bleeding, the blood sliding down her pale fingers.
