“Whoosh—”
Amidst the high-speed racetrack where wind howled, three streams of ice mist sprayed forth from the roar of a giant dragon.
Two of them transformed into dazzling ice spikes, and in an instant, striking true, they returned two monsters as cards to Trudge’s hand.
The last stream of frigid ice, however, solidified into a dazzling light spear, like a shooting star, amidst the biting blizzard.
It directly pierced through the Strikeback Gun Dog, whose ATK had been reduced!!
“Bang!!!!!”
Shattered ice shards struck from behind, and the intense battle damage nearly caused Trudge’s D-Wheel to lose control.
After several violent shakes, he barely managed to stabilize the D-Wheel with the help of the auto-pilot system, but as his Life Points decreased, his D-Wheel’s speed also began to slow.
“Bzzzt bzzzt bzzzt—”
[Trudge]
[LP: 3900 → 2300]
[SPC: 2 → 1]
“Tch!
But the moment you attacked, this big brother’s Trap Card activated!” an enraged Trudge roared, seeing a card glowing beside the Sector Security D-Wheel, triggered somehow.
“Trap Card – Rebirth Prediction!”
“Choose two cards from both players’ Graveyards as targets, and return them to their owner’s Deck!”
“The cards I choose are one Strikeback Gun Dog and one Spell Card from my Graveyard!!”
“When your Synchro Monster destroys my Strikeback Gun Dog on the Field by battle, this monster’s Effect activates again, Special Summoning the Strikeback Gun Dog that just returned to the Deck to the Field!!”
“Roar—”
The ominous growl echoed once more, and the Strikeback Gun Dog, armed with two heavy cannons, once again sped wildly across the ice-blue racetrack!
[Strikeback Gun Dog]
[Level 4]
[EARTH Attribute/Beast-Type]
[ATK/DEF: 1200/800]
The Battle Phase ended, and Yusei’s Turn concluded.
New Speed Counters were injected into the D-Wheel, and Trudge’s expression turned exceptionally fierce: “Tch!
Even trash from Satellite have Synchro Monsters?!”
“But Synchro Summoning isn’t just for trash like you!
With no Set Cards, prepare to die like this!”
“My Turn!
Draw!!”
“Speed Spell Card activation – SP: Angel Baton!!”
“Can only be activated when there are two or more Speed Counters.
Draw two cards, then discard one card from your Hand!!”
“Bing—”
The holy light of the angel slowly descended.
Amidst the sacred radiance, Trudge’s hand was refreshed.
“It’s only just begun, trash!” Trudge continued, brandishing a card and shouting, “Normal Summon one monster in Attack Position!!”
“Come back!!
Strikeback Searcher!!”
[Strikeback Searcher]
[Level 4]
[WIND Attribute/Warrior-Type]
[ATK/DEF: 1600/1200]
“Clang—”
“Next is this Card, SP: Illusionary Wind!!” Trudge slapped down another card.
“From the Graveyard, Special Summon one monster with Level 2 or lower!
The monster Special Summoned by this Effect will be Destroyed at the end of the Turn!!”
“The monster I choose is Hell Security Officer, which was just sent to the Graveyard!!”
“Open your eyes wide and take a good look!
Trash!!”
“Appearing next is one of this officer’s two King Monsters!!”
“I will Synchro Summon with the Level 1 Hell Security Officer and the Level 4 Strikeback Searcher!!”
“Let the fleeing king of trash plunge into hell through pursuit!!”
“Summon – Hell Twin Cops!!!”
Resonant waves reverberated through the rapidly moving afterimages.
Under the ripples, the two monsters transformed into a flash of strong light!
Between the battlegrounds, the roar of a third D-Wheel’s engine emerged from the light.
A two-headed demon rider, bearing vivid red bat wings, charged out ferociously, wildly placing its D-Wheel in front of Yusei!
[Hell Twin Cops]
[Level 5]
[DARK Attribute/Fiend-Type]
[ATK/DEF: 2200/1800]
Trudge sneered, “Compared to your Dragon, my monster’s ATK is 100 points lower, but soon, this officer will make you thoroughly despair with an interrogation!!”
“SP: Double Summon!!”
“Can only be activated when I have two or more Speed Counters.
This Turn, I can perform two Normal Summons!!”
“I Release Strikeback Gun Dog as a Tribute!
Appear, Level 5 monster – Handcuffs Dragon!!!”
[Handcuffs Dragon]
[Level 5]
[WIND Attribute/Dragon-Type]
[ATK/DEF: 1800/1800]
All preliminary preparations were complete, and Trudge let out an excited, insane laugh.
“Hahahahahahaha!!”
“This farce ends here!!”
“Even if you managed to Synchro Summon a monster at the very last moment, it’s just a futile struggle after stepping into a Trap!!”
“Enter Battle Phase!!”
“Handcuffs Dragon, attack Ice Barrier Dragon: Gunner Dragon!!”
“Although Handcuffs Dragon’s ATK is lower, this is a calculated suicide attack by this officer!!”
“When Handcuffs Dragon is Destroyed by Battle, it will equip itself as an Equip Card to the monster that destroyed it, and reduce the equipped monster’s ATK by 1800!!”
“This way, Hell Twin Cops can easily destroy your Ice Dragon!!”
“And when it successfully Destroys an opponent’s monster by Battle, Hell Twin Cops’s Effect will activate, increasing its own ATK by 800 and allowing it to make an additional attack!!”
“How about that?!
This world is truly wonderful, isn’t it~”
“Those with absolute power can just trample you trash underfoot!!”
“Go!!
Battle!!”
Amidst Trudge’s loud shouts, the strangely shaped Handcuffs Dragon charged almost madly towards Ice Barrier Dragon: Gunner Dragon.
If its suicide attack succeeded, Yusei’s defeat was certain!!
Through his rearview mirror, a smug Trudge sneered as he looked at his opponent, who had been left far behind.
But suddenly, he found Yusei still calm and composed, without a trace of panic!
This composure made Trudge’s heart tighten.
“Could this guy have some kind of defensive maneuver?”
“But…”
“There were clearly no other cards on his Field…”
Trudge thought with some relief, but the next second, a monster suddenly sprang out from Yusei’s Graveyard, barely blocking Handcuffs Dragon’s attack!
After its attack was negated, Handcuffs Dragon returned to the battleground.
It was not defeated, and thus could not become an Equip Card for Ice Barrier Dragon: Gunner Dragon.
“How could this be?!” Trudge’s eyes widened as he looked at the monster that suddenly appeared.
“Necro Gardna?!”
“Too bad!
Your Combo means nothing to me!” Yusei gripped his D-Wheel’s handlebars tightly, as if an arctic gale was howling after him.
“The moment Handcuffs Dragon attacked, I activated Necro Gardna’s Effect from the Graveyard!
By banishing this card from the Graveyard, one of your attacks is negated!!”
