“Everyone, hurry over!
Big Bro Crow is dueling!”
“Go, Big Bro Crow!”
As the most popular form of entertainment in this world, whenever a duel appeared, people would eagerly gather to watch.
Not to mention that the one standing in the arena today was their beloved Brother.
“Crow, looks like you’re just as popular as ever.” Kazumo teased as he looked at the excited little faces around them.
“Of course!
I’m the most caring guy around!”
Crow proudly puffed out his chest in self-praise while waving toward the gathered children, immediately drawing another burst of cheers.
“Then I’ll let you go first.
Come on, let me see how much you’ve improved.”
At Crow’s declaration, the Duel Disk skipped the first-turn decision.
[Crow, LP: 8000]
[Kazumo, LP: 8000]
“Duel!”
Kazumo looked at the five cards in his hand and revealed a strange expression.
He could not help muttering to himself, “I can tell now…
you’re really trying to make me beat the hell out of my best bro.”
Then he drew out a card.
“I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Primite Roar.
I pay 2000 LP to Special Summon Labradorite Dragon from my Deck.”
[Kazumo, LP: 8000 → 6000]
A stream of light effects representing the loss of LP flashed across Kazumo’s body as a deep sapphire-colored dragon burst forth from the solid ground.

“Oh?” Crow nodded in approval at the summoned monster.
“Not bad.
Being able to summon something like that directly means you’ve improved too.”
“The real show is only beginning.
I Normal Summon Primite Dragon Ether Beryl.”
Rubble scattered again as a small brown dragon crawled out from the ground.
Crimson light glowed through the gaps in its shell like flowing magma.

“I activate Primite Dragon’s effect to Set the Continuous Spell, Primite Lordly Lode, directly from my Deck.”
“And now, I activate the Set Primite Lordly Lode and use its effect to add Primite Drillbeam to my hand from the Deck.”
Kazumo paused before suddenly swinging his right arm.
A current of electricity shot forth from his arm.
Within the lightning, a Data Storm erupted and spiraled around Kazumo.
Well-traveled as he was, Crow naturally understood what this represented and immediately revealed a shocked expression.
“Appear!
The circuit that guides the future!”
“The Summoning conditions are two Dragon monsters.
I set Primite Dragon Ether Beryl and Labradorite Dragon into the Link Arrows!”
Link Summon!
[Hieratic Seal of the Heavenly Spheres] Link-2│LIGHT│Dragon│0 ATK New chapters come out on g.com first.
“Waaah, it’s so pretty!”
“It’s a summoning method we’ve never seen before!”
The novel spectacle caused the children watching nearby to burst into excited cheers.
As Crow looked at the golden heavenly sphere engraved with runes forming in the sky, even he could not help revealing an envious expression.
His tone even turned sour.
“Who would’ve thought you Dark Signers would get benefits like this?
You’ve even got cards this rare.”
Kazumo replied with a half-smile, “Jealous?
This was bought with my life.
So, interested in signing up?”
“No thanks.” Crow waved his hands repeatedly.
“I don’t want to die young.
I’ll just stick to playing poor people’s Synchros honestly.”
Link Summoning was an exclusive privilege of the upper district, a rare summoning method accessible only to the powerful and a small number of Sector Security officers.
The security upgrades brought by these brand-new cards had given Crow, who constantly played cat-and-mouse with Sector Security, quite a few unpleasant memories.
The even flashier marks on Crow’s face compared to the original series proved exactly that.
“In that case, I Set three cards and end my turn.”
“My turn, draw!” Crow eagerly began his turn immediately.
After finally making it back for a visit, there was no way Crow would let Kazumo steal all the spotlight in front of the kids.
After glancing at his hand, Crow quickly revealed a wicked grin.
“Heh, watch carefully.
Today, Lord Crow is going to teach you what a real duel looks like!”
“I activate the effect of Blackwing – Simoon the Poison Wind from my hand.
I banish Blackwing – Mistral the Silver Shield from my hand, then place the Spell Card Black Whirlwind from my Deck onto the field.”
A card popped out from the Deck.
Crow casually picked it up and slammed it onto the field together with Simoon the Poison Wind from his hand.
“After that, I can Normal Summon Simoon.”

The humanoid avian monster with purple wings descended onto the field alongside a black whirlwind, causing the clothes of the surrounding spectators to flutter wildly.
“At this moment, Black Whirlwind’s effect activates.
When a Blackwing monster is Summoned, I can add a Blackwing monster from my Deck to my hand.
I add Blackwing – Sudri the Phantom Glimmer to my hand.”
Seeing the chosen Blackwing monster, Kazumo muttered to himself, “So you’ve already gotten Black-Winged Dragon this early, huh?
You’ve even printed support cards for your own archetype already.”
“But unfortunately, that road’s closed.”
Kazumo waved his hand.
“Now!
I activate Hieratic Seal’s effect.
I Tribute itself to return your Black Whirlwind to your hand.”
The golden heavenly sphere floating in the air shattered into particles of golden light.
As it broke apart, a golden storm surged forth and collided with the black whirlwind. This chapter was copied from g.com without permission.
In the end, the two forces neutralized each other and vanished.
Crow clicked his tongue and grumbled, “Tch, lucky you.”
Once a Continuous Spell left the field, its activated effect would no longer resolve, meaning his search had been interrupted.
Albeit the good news was that Black Whirlwind had returned to his hand, allowing him to activate it again.
And since he had not yet used his Normal Summon this turn, he could trigger Black Whirlwind once more.
Black Whirlwind was the operational core of the entire Blackwing Deck; as long as one could control Black Whirlwind, one could control the Blackwing combo lines.
Crow was certain Kazumo had never seen this strategy before; Kazumo had merely stumbled onto a lucky coincidence.
“I’m not done yet.” Kazumo’s voice rang out again.
“I activate the effect of the Tributed Hieratic Seal.
I can Special Summon one Dragon monster from my Deck, but its Attack and Defense become 0.”
Without immediately taking the bounced card back into his hand, Kazumo activated another Set card in his back row.
“I Chain to my own effect and activate the Trap Card, Primite Howl.
I declare a monster name, and if there are no monsters on my field, I can Special Summon it from my Deck.”
As the Chain resolved, two monsters appeared before Kazumo.
[Koa’ki Meiru Drago] Level 4│WIND│Dragon│1900 ATK → 0
[Light Bringer Lucifer] Level 6│DARK│Fairy│2600 ATK → 2900
A giant dragon with azure wings and a beautiful blonde angel whose hair reached her waist stood upon the field.
“Waaah, it’s a pretty big sister!”
Beautiful cards were rarely seen in Satellite since most of the cards circulating there came from discarded upper district cards or smuggling.
The cards held by commoners and children were mostly scavenged, and even Yusei’s own Deck had been pieced together from found cards.
As a result, these exquisitely beautiful Monster Cards won the children’s affection at once.
This guy is absolutely doing this on purpose…
Looking at the beautiful cards, the envy in Crow’s eyes transformed into jealousy.
This bastard came here just to show off!
Kazumo waved his hand, signaling he had finished his actions.
Crow calmed himself and continued his turn.
“I activate Black Whirlwind again.”
“Next, I Normal Summon Blackwing – Vata the Emblem of Wandering.”
However, Kazumo interrupted him once again.
“At this instant, I flip my Set card.
Counter Trap, Primite Scream.
Negate your Summon and banish it.”
The delinquent bird clad in a school uniform had not even landed before the roar of the Primite dragon hatchling turned it into particles of light that scattered away.
Once could be called an accident… but interrupting his Black Whirlwind searches twice in a row was clearly targeted.
Crow could not hold back anymore and demanded angrily,
“You bastard!
You definitely know what my cards do, don’t you?!
Spill it already, how do you know?!”
Seeing Crow’s exasperated expression, Kazumo revealed a bright and cheerful smile.
He pointed toward his arm.
“Don’t ask.
Though if you are so curious, it’s because Dark Signers are built different.”
