The top floor of Fisk Tower.
Inside a magnificent office, a fat, bald man sat comfortably on a luxurious sofa, a hint of ruthlessness flashing in his eyes.
The man’s name was Wilson Fisk, better known as Kingpin, the emperor of New York’s underworld—and, by extension, one of the most powerful crime lords in the entire United States.
He had been born with a ruthless and calculating mind.
Over the years, Kingpin had waged brutal wars against rival gangs, eliminating anyone who stood in his way.
He had even secretly allied himself with politicians, using their influence to build one of the largest and most ruthless criminal empires in the country.
But today…
Kingpin was in a particularly foul mood.
He was furious.
Just moments ago, an alarm had sounded throughout the building.
Someone of unknown identity had broken into Fisk Tower and was slaughtering his men.
But that wasn’t what bothered him the most.
As the emperor of the underworld, Kingpin had long since grown accustomed to people trying to kill him.
Whether it was a superhero or a rival criminal organization, there were simply too many people who wanted him dead.
In fact, if a superhero didn’t show up at least once in a while, he would probably start wondering if something was wrong.
But never before had Kingpin encountered anything as bizarre as this.
It was normal for someone to want him dead.
But…
Where was the attacker?
From the moment the first man died until the last one fell, Kingpin hadn’t seen even the slightest trace of the attacker.
He had checked the surveillance footage countless times.
He had slowed it down frame by frame.
Yet every single time, the result was the same.
There was no enemy.
Nothing.
At first, Kingpin suspected that the attacker might be a Mutant or perhaps a superhero with some kind of invisibility ability.
But even the infrared scanners couldn’t detect any body heat.
There was absolutely nothing.
“Bastard!”
Enraged, Kingpin smashed the monitors in front of him.
A sinister expression appeared on his face.
“Just who the hell wants me dead?”
Kingpin had no intention of confronting a ‘monster’ that couldn’t be detected by any of his equipment.
As the saying went, a wealthy man didn’t sit beneath a dangerous wall.
His own life was naturally far more valuable than the lives of his disposable subordinates.
If he had to face an existence that couldn’t be explained by science, Kingpin had no hesitation about abandoning his men and escaping alone.
However, before leaving, he still needed someone to buy him some time.
“A monster…”
A sinister smile appeared on Kingpin’s face.
“Has to be dealt with by another monster!”
His gaze shifted toward the shadows of the room.
“Bullseye, I’ll leave this to you.
That shouldn’t be a problem, right?”
“No problem.”
A man wearing a Bullseye mask stepped out of the shadows.
There was a hint of excitement in his voice.
“As it happens, I want to test just how strong I am now.”
“Good.”
Kingpin stood up from the sofa and walked toward the innermost wall of the office.
The wall was covered with various decorations.
He reached out and pressed a hidden mechanism.
Rumble…
The heavy wall slowly slid open, revealing a circular metal door hidden behind it.
As the emperor of the underworld, having one or two secret escape routes was perfectly reasonable.
Kingpin stepped through the metal door and entered a password.
The heavy metal door immediately began to close behind him.
As he hurried through the escape passage, Kingpin secretly cursed under his breath.
If I find out who you are, I’ll kill your entire family!
He could never have imagined that the person slaughtering his men was the very same Punisher whom Bullseye had nearly killed a few days ago.
But now…
He was back.
And this time, he had returned as a God of Death, ready to harvest the souls of the wicked.
Bang!
The last man collapsed onto the floor, a bullet having pierced straight through his forehead.
His face was filled with resentment and fear as he took his final breath.
“107.”
Frank exhaled slowly.
He stepped over the corpse and continued toward the next floor.
Evil must be punished.
In Frank’s eyes, there wasn’t a single innocent person in the entire Fisk Tower.
Every one of them had pointed their guns at the weak.
The blood on their hands was impossible to count.
Neither were the families they had destroyed.
And now…
It was time for them to pay the price.
The final floor.
With heavy, steady footsteps, Frank finally reached the top floor.
His biggest targets tonight were waiting here.
Kingpin.
Bullseye.
The two men standing at the very top of this criminal empire.
Clang!
Frank tightened his grip on his Gun-Blade and swung it forward.
The thick metal door in front of him was sliced cleanly apart.
He stepped into the office of the underworld emperor.
Bang!
The moment Frank pushed open the door, the sound of a gunshot rang through the room.
Clang!
Frank remained completely calm.
His Gun-Blade moved upward, slicing the incoming bullet cleanly in two.
The two halves of the bullet fell to the floor with a crisp metallic sound.
“Only one person?”
Frank swept his gaze across the office.
There was only one person standing there.
Bullseye.
Kingpin had already disappeared.
“You’re a Mutant, aren’t you?”
Bullseye raised his gun and aimed directly at Frank.
From Bullseye’s perspective, Frank was nothing more than a blurry shadow.
The only thing he could determine with certainty was that his target was human.
And if he was human while possessing such a bizarre ability…
The only explanation Bullseye could think of was that Frank was a Mutant.
Frank didn’t bother wasting words on him.
He infused his Soul Power into Justice, granting the next bullet an acceleration attribute.
Then he pulled the trigger.
Bang!
The bullet left the chamber at three times its normal speed.
In an instant, it pierced straight through Bullseye’s skull.
Blood sprayed across the expensive floor.
“Number 108.”
Frank lowered his Gun-Blade and turned to leave the office.
But after taking only a few steps, he suddenly heard the sound of something cutting through the air behind him.
His instincts kicked in.
Frank immediately crouched and performed a forward roll.
Swoosh!
Several strands of hair were sliced from his head.
Frank’s expression changed.
He quickly looked back.
His eyes widened in disbelief.
“Tsk.
You actually dodged that.”
The voice belonged to Bullseye.
The very same Bullseye whom Frank had just shot directly through the head.
“That’s impossible!”
His heart was filled with shock.
He had clearly seen the bullet pierce Bullseye’s skull.
Yet he was still alive.
And that wasn’t even the most terrifying part.
The massive hole the bullet had left in Bullseye’s head had completely disappeared.
There wasn’t even a scar.
“Hahahaha!”
Bullseye seemed to notice Frank’s shock and laughed arrogantly.
“Are you surprised?
Wondering why I’m still alive?”
“What the hell is going on?”
Frank’s mind was in turmoil.
Something was wrong.
The last time they fought, Bullseye had suddenly gained superhuman reaction speed and almost monstrous physical strength.
But he had never displayed an ability like this.
Frank’s expression became serious.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
He pulled the trigger repeatedly.
Several bullets flew toward Bullseye, each one infused with a different attribute.
Explosion.
Fire.
Freezing.
Poison Gas.
“Hahahaha!”
Bullseye laughed wildly.
“Useless!
Useless!
Useless!”
He charged straight toward Frank.
Although he could only see a blurry shadow, that was more than enough for a professional assassin like him.
Puff!
Puff!
Puff!
The bullets struck Bullseye’s body.
Blood and flesh splattered everywhere.
Yet Bullseye didn’t slow down.
He simply continued charging forward, completely ignoring the bullets tearing through his body.
“Fuck!”
Frank cursed and immediately began retreating while continuing to fire.
“What the hell are you?!”
Until he understood exactly what Bullseye was, Frank had no intention of engaging him in close combat.
Fighting an apparently immortal madman at close range was simply too dangerous.
“It’s useless!”
Bullseye laughed crazily.
“Don’t you understand yet?”
He continued charging forward.
“Bullets are useless against me!”
His voice was filled with madness and excitement.
“I have already evolved into an Advanced Being with an Immortal Body!”
“Immortal Body?”
Frank gave a cold snort.
He didn’t believe in anything like an immortal body.
In this world, there was no such thing as true immortality.
If someone couldn’t be killed…
Then that could only mean one thing.
He hadn’t found the method of destruction yet.
“If one shot isn’t enough to kill you…”
Frank’s eyes became cold.
“Then I’ll blow you into a pile of minced meat.”
He raised his Gun-Blade and aimed directly at Bullseye.
“Let’s see if you can still survive that!”
