“Ready…
are you?”
Frank suddenly spoke, though there was no one around him.
It was almost as if he were talking to himself.
The scene was incredibly eerie.
There were clearly only two people inside the entire building, yet Frank’s tone made it sound as though he were conversing with a third person.
An…
invisible person.
“Do you have backup?”
Bullseye narrowed his eyes as he carefully listened.
His ears twitched, and he sniffed the air.
Scent?
Nothing.
Although the air was thick with the smell of blood and gunpowder, Bullseye’s enhanced senses allowed him to distinguish practically anything in his surroundings.
Sound?
Nothing there either.
Using his bat-like echolocation, he could detect any living creature within a hundred meters.
There was definitely no one else in the building.
The Punisher was bluffing.
“Still trying to fool me?”
Bullseye licked his lips, a crimson glow flashing across his eyes as he laughed loudly.
“Do you really think such a cheap trick can deceive a perfect being like me?
There isn’t a third person here!”
“You’re wrong, Bullseye.”
Frank slowly raised his eyelids, his expression completely calm.
“There is another person here.
It’s just that you…
can’t see them.”
That third person was Pale Justice.
However, only Frank could see its existence.
“Ready.”
Frank, still wearing his white trench coat, spoke indifferently.
“Perfect timing.
Let him witness my true power.”
“Mm.”
Frank quietly agreed with himself before his spiritual power suddenly erupted like a volcano.
“Holy Word: Redemption!”
“Until Death!”
“Noble Sacrifice!”
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Three bullets roared from the barrel.
But their target wasn’t Bullseye.
They were aimed at Frank himself!
Bullseye froze.
For the first time in his life, he had seen someone shoot themselves.
“Hahahaha!”
Bullseye couldn’t help but burst into wild laughter.
“Are you insane?
Do you think you can’t defeat me, so you’ve decided to commit suicide?”
“Suicide?”
Frank sneered.
“No.
These three bullets are my true strength.”
“AAAAAAAH!”
Veins bulged across Frank’s face as though he were enduring unimaginable pain.
His entire body turned red, like a lobster that had been thrown into boiling water, while scorching steam poured from his skin.
His spiritual power surged outward like a storm of blades, shredding the expensive tiles and furniture around him.
“Die, Bullseye!”
BOOM!
Frank stomped his right foot against the floor, instantly shattering the expensive tiles beneath him.
His body shot forward like a cannonball, tearing through the air at incredible speed.
“So fast!”
Bullseye’s pupils contracted sharply.
Even with his enhanced Vampire Physique, he couldn’t clearly follow Frank’s movements.
Swish!
A flash of cold steel appeared.
A moment later, intense pain erupted through Bullseye’s body.
Only then did he realize that his arm had been severed.
“Sss…”
“AAAAAAAH!”
Bullseye screamed.
This injury was different from all the others he had suffered before.
The pain was excruciating.
It felt as though his very soul were being torn apart.
“Fuck!
I missed!”
Frank panted heavily.
A closer look revealed that Frank wasn’t in good condition either.
Crack-like patterns had appeared across his skin.
Blood and sweat constantly seeped from his body, only to evaporate into mist almost immediately because of his incredible body temperature.
Clearly, using three abilities simultaneously was too much for Frank’s current physique.
He couldn’t maintain this state for long.
He had to finish the fight quickly.
Otherwise, before he could defeat his enemy, his own body might collapse first.
“My…
my arm?”
Amid the intense pain, Bullseye suddenly realized something terrifying.
The arm severed by The Punisher wasn’t regenerating.
No…
It was more accurate to say that it was as if Bullseye had never possessed that arm in the first place.
It had been completely severed from him by The Punisher’s attack.
What was the most terrifying ability of a vampire?
Drinking blood?
Of course not.
Superhuman senses?
Not that either.
The most terrifying ability was their near-immortality.
Even if their bodies were blown apart, they could still regenerate and return to life.
But now…
His immortality had been broken.
“This…
this is impossible!”
Bullseye roared hysterically.
“I am a perfect being!
How could…
how could I be defeated by a human?!”
“Goodbye, Bullseye.”
Frank exhaled sharply before launching himself forward like an arrow.
His body lowered into a crouch, resembling a leopard preparing to pounce.
“Justice…
Execution!”
BOOM!
Frank took a single step.
A deafening sonic boom erupted as his body vanished from Bullseye’s field of vision.
Clang!
A razor-sharp blade sliced through the air with a shrill screech.
“No…
don’t kill me!”
Bullseye’s pupils widened to their limit.
“You can’t kill me!
I know what Kingpin is planning!
He has a huge conspiracy!
He wants to—”
Swish!
The sound of a sharp weapon cutting through flesh echoed through the room.
Bullseye’s head was sent flying through the air.
“Is that…
my…
body?”
A familiar figure entered Bullseye’s fading vision.
It was his own body.
But it no longer had a head.
“Ah…”
“So…
I’m dead…”
“How…
laughable…”
Bullseye’s vision gradually darkened.
So this was how he died.
He hadn’t even been able to see how The Punisher killed him.
Laughable.
Truly laughable.
“The Punisher!”
Knowing that death was inevitable, Bullseye shouted with the last of his strength.
“I’ll be waiting for you in Hell!
You…
and all of New York City…
will die with me!”
“What do you mean?”
Frank’s brow furrowed.
A terrible sense of foreboding suddenly washed over him.
“Haha…”
Bullseye laughed weakly. This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.
“Do you really think…
I’m the only perfect being?
You’re too naive…
Frank.”
“That mask?”
Frank immediately remembered something.
Bullseye had said that he became this monster because of a strange mask.
In other words…
As long as Kingpin still possessed that mask, he could potentially create as many immortal monsters as he wanted.
This was a disaster waiting to happen.
Cold sweat appeared on Frank’s forehead.
Knowing Kingpin, that madman would undoubtedly use the mask to create an army of monsters and attempt to rule the entire world.
“Wait!”
Frank grabbed Bullseye’s head.
“Tell me!
Where is Kingpin?
Does he have the mask?
What is he planning?”
“Tell you?”
Bullseye laughed.
“Hahaha…
dream on.
I’ll…
be waiting for you in Hell…
The Punisher.”
After uttering those final words, Bullseye’s eyes gradually lost their light.
His breathing stopped.
He was dead.
And this time, it was permanent.
There would be no resurrection.
“Fuck you!”
Enraged, Frank smashed Bullseye’s head with a single punch.
That damn bastard!
Even in death, he had to annoy him one last time.
But Bullseye’s final words left Frank deeply uneasy.
The mask was most likely in Kingpin’s hands.
If nothing was done, vampires could soon spread throughout the entire city.
Frank had to find that mask.
“Kingpin…”
Frank gritted his teeth, his hatred for the man reaching its peak.
“Don’t let me find you.
Because if I do…
I’ll definitely kill you.”
A Villa in the Suburbs
This was one of Kingpin’s secret bases.
Only Kingpin knew its location.
Even Bullseye had never been told where it was.
“Damn The Punisher!”
Kingpin angrily smashed a table, his eyes glowing crimson.
“You destroyed the empire I worked so hard to build!”
Through the security monitors, he had witnessed Bullseye’s death.
He now knew that the mysterious invisible person was none other than The Punisher.
And, most importantly…
The Punisher was still alive.
“You’ve forced me to do this…”
A murderous glint flashed through Kingpin’s eyes.
He stood up and hurried toward the innermost part of the room.
After pressing a hidden mechanism, a concealed door slowly opened.
Beyond it was an extremely secure chamber.
The walls were constructed from the strongest materials available, designed to block all signals, radio waves, and even sound.
At the center of the room stood a massive safe.
Three combination locks protected the outer door.
Kingpin carefully opened the first lock.
Behind it was another safe.
Then another.
Layer upon layer of security.
There were three safes in total.
Kingpin opened each one carefully.
When the final safe was finally opened, there was no cash inside.
No diamonds.
No precious jewels.
Instead…
There was a mask.
Its material resembled stone, and its appearance was vaguely demonic.
Kingpin stared at it with a cold expression.
Because of its stone-like material and demonic appearance, he had given it a simple name.
The Stone Mask.
