Chapter 4: Mother Anby
The sad emotions did not last very long.
Liu Kai used some time to calm his mood.
Although his body had now become that of a child, his mind was still that thirty-something-year-old man.
Anby had changed into pajamas at some point.
They seemed to be made of silk, pure white and thin, allowing the outline of her body to be seen through the clothes.
Her crimson nipples were also faintly visible, small and perky, pressing lightly against the sheer fabric.
Her petite 156 cm frame looked even more delicate and alluring in the soft pajamas — short silver hair framing her sharp yet cute face with amber eyes, a slender yet toned torso with subtle abs visible under the thin material, narrow waist flaring out into wide, powerful hips, and those signature thick, shapely thighs that were smooth, pale, and full of healthy muscle and soft flesh.
Her ass was round and firm, and between her legs, the faint outline of her plump, hairless camel toe could be seen when she moved.
Since transmigrating, this was the first time Liu Kai had looked at Anby so seriously.
She had gray hair, or rather a color closer to silver.
Although it was a bit short, it was still full of girlish charm.
Compared to Nicole, Anby’s figure was quite “slender,” but it was still exquisite and well-proportioned.
Her pair of beautiful legs were straight, not thin, but instead possessed a healthy sense of fleshiness — thick, powerful thighs that looked incredibly soft to squeeze yet strong enough to crush someone if she wanted.
Liu Kai suddenly became interested, but it was not good to act on Anby.
Even though he still looked like a child and even using perverted hands would not have very serious consequences, Liu Kai himself still retained a considerable degree of moral sense and was unwilling to be so despicable—of course, Nicole’s case belonged to her delivering herself to his door, so there was no reason not to enjoy it.
Anby went straight to the single bed, pulled over the quilt to cover herself, then turned around and looked at Liu Kai.
“Kael, come to bed quickly.” Anby lifted one corner of the quilt with one hand while lightly patting the bed surface with the other.
“Okay… Anby… big sister.”
Although he was still not very used to calling someone younger than himself “big sister,” things had already come to this, so he might as well act cute for now.
Unexpectedly, Anby seemed very pleased by it.
It appeared she really liked the feeling of being a big sister.
Liu Kai lay down on the bed, and Anby covered him with the quilt.
Anby hugged Liu Kai and lay on their sides together, face to face.
Suddenly, Anby smiled.
“…You just called me big sister?”
“Mm, doesn’t Anby big sister like it?”
“I like it.
From now on, I will be your big sister.” Anby stroked Liu Kai’s head again with her hand.
“Listen to big sister and sleep well.”
“Mm…”
“What’s wrong?” Anby heard a trace of sadness in Liu Kai’s voice and quickly asked, “Are you… thinking about home again?”
Mentioning the word “home,” the sadness in Liu Kai’s heart surged up again, but he already had experience suppressing it and would not fail easily.
“I… may never see Dad and Mom again.”
“They are in a very, very far away place.”
Upon hearing this, Anby originally wanted to comfort him with a couple of words, but after thinking about it, she realized that blind optimism was not a good thing.
Pain is not necessary, but sometimes it cannot be avoided.
She could not promise this child anything, because she herself knew nothing about the whole matter.
Perhaps his parents were still alive, perhaps they could be found with a single call, but what if the truth was the cruelest one?
Anby looked at Liu Kai, watching as the expression on his face gradually returned to calm.
He has already grown up.
He should not have had to accept such immense pain, should not have had to hide and flee.
He should have been reunited with his family and friends, enjoying a carefree childhood.
But now, crisis and suffering forced him to accept all this, forced him to digest the painful emotions, forced him to grow up rapidly.
Just like herself once upon a time.
Anby’s eyes grew moist, because she saw herself in Liu Kai.
Anby hugged Liu Kai tightly, pressing his head close to her body.
She could feel a warm, wet stream spreading across her chest.
It was Liu Kai’s tears.
This child did not cry out loud, but his bitterness could be heard clearly.
Then let me bear it all and accept his weakness and heartache.
Anby softly hummed a lullaby.
This was something she had learned back when she was still in the Silver Squad.
At that time, her little sisters would always pester her to sing for everyone.
She never refused, and as she sang, she became the one with the most beautiful singing voice among the sisters.
“Good baby, go to sleep quickly.
Mommy will sing you a lullaby…”
This skill, sealed away for several years, was not rusty at all, but the emotions that rose with it made Anby herself feel sentimental too.
“Anby big sister… is just like Mom.”
Liu Kai lifted his face and looked at Anby.
This sentence had no other meaning; it was genuinely heartfelt.
“Mom?” This was a very distant word for Anby.
“You can call me Mom too.”
She herself didn’t know why she was so bold.
Perhaps she wanted too much to comfort this child and spoke nonsense.
How could anyone replace someone else’s mother?
“Anby… Mom?”
These few words seemed to possess infinite magic, instantly gripping Anby’s heart tightly and making her want to hear them a few more times, then a few more times.
She looked at Liu Kai with a face full of eagerness and said excitedly, “That’s right, I am Mom, Anby Mom!”
