“Billy!”
Inside the somewhat cramped room of the Cunning Hares, Billy was undergoing a trial by three judges.
Sitting right in the center was Nicole, with her pink long hair tied into twin tails and dressed in a hot girl style.
On her left and right were Anby, with short silver-white hair and a black-green jacket, and Nekomata, a Thiren girl with two tails.
Opposite the three women, Billy sat upright and proper.
“Bang!”
Nicole raised her hand and slammed it onto the table, producing a loud crash.
Billy shuddered all over.
Nicole shook her hand, tightened her facial expression, and looked at Billy with green eyes, asking solemnly:
“Could you please give me a good explanation of what you mean by saying that in your haste, you pushed an airship directly onto the rooftop of the Ballet Twins Building?!”
“Speak, Billy.” Anby nodded in agreement.
“Nicole is very angry.”
“Ha~” Nekomata let out an echoing puff of air in cooperation.
“Uh… this, that… Ah Hahaha, it’s just, it’s just that recently, I made a tiny, tiny modification…”
Enduring the gazes of the three, Billy looked away and beat around the bush, his voice getting smaller and smaller:
“It’s just… um, I accidentally made a flight module modification…”
“Where on earth did you get the Dennies to install a flight module?”
Nicole questioned, then clenched her fists and furrowed her brows:
“Our family is barely scraping by, yet you secretly hid Dennies to do modifications for yourself?
“Is making money that easy?
Anby and Nekomata cooperatively made a little noise to assert their presence.
“Hey, Boss Nicole, I didn’t, ouch, this… it’s just, just a mechanic friend I know who has great skills, and she helped me modify it.”
Billy wildly waved his limbs, speaking in a stuttering manner, looking flustered.
“A mechanic friend? Modified a flight module for you? How much did it cost?” Nicole asked.
“It… it didn’t cost much,” Billy whispered.
“What do you mean by didn’t cost much? Exactly how much?” Nicole asked again.
“It… didn’t cost money. I wrote an IOU,” said Billy.
Nicole: “…Oh, then it’s fine. But since your friend is so generous, can you introduce us?”
“Huh?”
Billy abruptly straightened his body, his logical core operating at high speed and beginning to heat up slightly.
Although Tenshi told him to help promote it, Tenshi didn’t want to get dragged into any trouble either.
But bringing up this matter today meant linking Tenshi to the previous airship incident.
After thinking at high speed for a few seconds, Billy spoke up:
“Uh, the Outer Ring!
A friend from the Outer Ring helped me modify it before.
“It’s just… uh… over at my old boss’s place, don’t I occasionally help them deliver goods? While they were repairing trucks, I went over to freeload a bit of maintenance…”
“Can maintenance breed a flight module?” Nekomata blinked and asked in surprise, “You didn’t sell yourself off, did you?”
Billy: “Ho… how could that be? Ah Hahaha…”
Inside Angels of Delusion’ current temporary activity room.
The girls who had finished practicing relaxed or rested as they pleased, and everyone still had their own things to do.
Nangong Yu directly went to find Teacher Cecilia and brought up the previous matter regarding Wang Gankan.
Single Pull Golden: “Miss Nangong, right?”
Single Pull Golden: “Here is the thing, I can agree to all your requirements. Whether it’s Angels of Delusion taking the lead without me restricting you, or decisions regarding stage resources and the like that I must consult with you on.”
Single Pull Golden: “Right now, I just want a chance to stand out and prove a point. I already have nothing left; this might be a reckless gamble. But everything, or nothing at all—right now, I only have these two paths before me.”
Single Pull Golden: “Moreover, you guys really do have a lot of potential. I am serious about this, not just flattering you.”
Single Pull Golden: “That said, I have some connections in the Outer Ring and can try to help you contact them.”
Single Pull Golden: “Judging by the time, the Outer Ring is about to start the Infernal Ride soon. After it’s over, there’s bound to be a celebration, and you ladies might be able to perform there.”
Single Pull Golden: “Though it might not be a particularly formal stage, the enthusiasm and atmosphere of the Outer Ring people are definitely top-notch.”
“Teacher Cecilia, take a look.” Nangong Yu handed her phone to Cecilia.
After quickly reading through the content, Cecilia looked at Nangong Yu:
“So, you guys plan to cooperate with this Mr. Wang?”
Nangong Yu nodded and raised a hand to support her chin: “Mm. According to Tenshi, this is what you call a free opportunity—might as well take it. But… free things are often the most expensive. We still have to be cautious about this kind of thing.”
Cecilia nodded, Nangong Yu’s composure making her feel at ease:
“Not bad. What do you few think of that Mr. Wang?”
“Quite a direct person, just a bit impulsive,” said Nangong Yu.
“Don’t rush to agree yet. I… I’ll find a way to help you check his past record.”
Cecilia thought for a moment and said:
“If there are no issues, after preparing the corresponding procedures and legally binding documents, you can try cooperating.
“I also feel that you guys need to get some training on a real’stage’, but are you sure the other little ones are mentally prepared yet?”
“Mhm, indeed. It wouldn’t be good if someone gets cold feet when the time comes.” Nangong Yu nodded.
Inside Tenshi and Aria’s room.
Just moments ago, Tenshi completed a routine body check for Aria, and now Aria was idling while charging.
