Rambo arrived first at Kisolo, his heart was beating so fast he thought it would explode, his legs were heavy but he didn’t stop, he kept running, he crossed the fields, he jumped over fences, he didn’t look back, he only looked forward, toward the village, toward his home, toward his mother, the village was in flames, the houses were burning, the roofs were collapsing, the flames danced in the night sky, they were high, they were red, they were orange, they were yellow, they devoured everything in their path, the wooden walls cracked, the melted sheets fell, the smoke was thick, black, it rose to the sky like a bad omen, children were running in all directions, some crying, others screaming, looking for their parents, women were trying to put out the fires with buckets of water, but the water was insufficient, the fire was too strong, too fast, it devoured everything, it left nothing behind, men were trying to save their belongings, their animals, their memories, but everything was burning, everything was disappearing.
Raider arrived behind him, he was out of breath, he had run without stopping, his lungs were burning, his legs were trembling, he looked at the burning village, his eyes widened, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing, he shouted “mom!

where are you?!”, his voice was loud, desperate, it echoed in the silence broken by the flames, he ran through the flames, he didn’t feel the heat, he didn’t feel the pain, he was searching for his mother, he entered the houses, some were still standing, others were collapsing, he looked under the debris, he called again and again, but no one answered, he fell to his knees, he hit the ground, he shouted “mom!

please!”, but only the sound of the flames answered him.
The group arrived one by one, Baabun, Piner, Thiky, Mito set the Princess down on the ground, she stood up, she looked at the burning village, she placed her hands on the wounded, a white light appeared, she began to heal them, she healed the burned, the injured, the crying children, she touched a burned woman, her wounds closed, she touched an injured child, his wounds disappeared, she touched an old man who was coughing, his breathing became calmer, she healed everyone she could, she didn’t stop, she kept going, she didn’t want a single more death to add to this tragedy.
Raider approached a child, a little boy of six years old, he had black hair, brown eyes, tears were streaming down his cheeks, he was trembling with fear, Raider knelt in front of him, he placed his hands on his shoulders, he asked him “did you see mother Nanu?”, the child looked at him, his eyes filled with fear, he shook his head, he replied in a trembling voice “no, I didn’t see her, I don’t know where she is, I’m sorry, I can’t help you”, Raider ran to another child, a little girl, she had blond hair, blue eyes, she was holding a doll in her hands, she was crying, he asked her “did you see Nanu?”, she shook her head, she replied “no, I didn’t see her, I don’t know where she is, I’m sorry”, Piner asked an old man, he had white hair, a gray beard, he was sitting on a stone, he was tired, he shook his head, he replied “no, I didn’t see her, they came, they took the women, they took them away”, Thiky asked a woman, she had brown hair, green eyes, she was crying, she shook her head, she replied “no, I didn’t see her, I’m sorry”, they regrouped in the center of the village, the fire was burning around them, the smoke was thick, they were coughing, their eyes were stinging, they were worried, they were tired, they didn’t know what to do anymore.
Suddenly, a girl approached them, she was young, she had black hair, sad eyes, she was wearing a torn dress, she had burns on her arms, she had a cut on her cheek, she approached Raider, she looked at him, she said “Raider, the soldiers captured Nanu, they took her with the other prisoners, they went east, toward the Chain Kingdom, they took the women, the children, they burned the village, they destroyed everything”, Raider looked at her, his face turned pale, he said “no, not mom!”, he fell to his knees, he hit the ground, he shouted “mom!”, Rambo approached his brother, he placed his hand on his shoulder, he said “no, we go back, we’ll save her, we’ll find her, we’ll bring her home, we’ll protect her”. Mito looked at him, his gaze was empty, but there was something different, a glimmer, a spark, he said “look at how you change, look at what anger does to you, you are becoming like them”, Raider hit him once, twice, three times, four times, on the fifth hit, Mito shouted “stop!”, a powerful wind came out of his voice, his eyes turned red, a dark aura surrounded him, the flames around them flickered, the ground shook, but after a few seconds, his eyes returned to normal, he turned around and left without saying anything, he walked away, he walked away from the group, he walked away from the village, he disappeared into the darkness. They ran after Mito, they found him sitting under a tree, he was looking at the sky, he wasn’t saying anything, he wasn’t moving, he was like a statue, Raider approached him, he said “Mito, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have hit you, I was angry, I was scared, I lost control, I’m sorry, truly sorry”, Mito looked at him, his gaze was empty, but there was a glimmer of forgiveness, he said “it’s okay”, Raider said “no, it’s not okay, I was stupid, I hit you for no reason, I don’t deserve your forgiveness”, Mito replied “you had a right to be angry, I understand, your mother is in danger, I understand your pain, I understand your fear”.
The group gathered, they discussed, Mito said “me and Raider, we will infiltrate the Chain Kingdom, we will save Nanu, we will bring her home, and the rest of you, stay here to protect the villagers and rebuild Kisolo, you are their only hope”, everyone nodded, they agreed, Raider said “we go together”, Mito nodded “together”.
