Amidst the desolate wreckage of the corrugated iron shack that had just been blown apart by the shockwave, Cheon Do-jin stood firm.

His detached eyes glanced toward the three siblings struggling to hide behind a torn sheet of metal.

A faint, menacing smirk crept onto his lips, dripping with bloodlust, as he spoke slowly:Full novel: Zero The Fish in God’s Glass Tank — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

— “It seems you can no longer keep your hands clean, old man.”

Old man Akaisin’s expression shifted drastically.

The ash-gray Sophion surrounding his frame fluctuated violently as he realized the enemy’s sinister intent.

He let out a furious roar:

— “Damn you!

What do you think you’re doing?

Get away from the kids!”

— “This world only cares about results, old man,” Cheon Do-jin replied coldly.

Without a shred of hesitation, he turned and barked an order: “JIANG FENGMO!

IT’S YOUR TURN!”

— “Hahaha!

Let’s see if you choose to protect the brats or try to take on both Fengmo and Do-jin at once!”

BOOM!

Jiang Fengmo burst into a maniacal cackle.

Unleashing a velocity that utterly shattered the sound barrier, he transformed into a crimson afterimage, blitzing straight toward the three siblings.

Simultaneously, Cheon Do-jin closed the distance, channeling his full power to radiate a suffocating pressure, locking down the old man’s vision and sealing off any avenue of retreat.

Caught in an impossible dilemma, old man Akaisin didn’t hesitate for a single millisecond.

Protecting his grandchildren was his one and only priority!

— “All-Matter Exchange Art!”

SWOOSH!

Space warped violently.

Akaisin forcibly swapped his position, materializing directly in front of the three siblings to serve as a human shield.

However, Cheon Do-jin had already anticipated this exact move.

The very instant the old man materialized, Do-jin’s hand—infused with razor-sharp Sophion—thrust forward like a lethal drill, piercing deep into the old man’s abdomen and impaling a vital organ.

SQUELCH!

Crimson blood splattered everywhere.

Do-jin coldly extracted his blood-drenched hand from Akaisin’s belly.

THUD.

The old man dropped to one knee, clutching the gushing wound as he coughed up a massive wave of blood that stained the muddy puddle crimson.

Witnessing this horrific sight, Shin’s eyes turned bloodshot with primal fury.

He prepared to recklessly charge forward to help:

— “OLD MAN!!!”

— “STAY RIGHT THE FUCK THERE!” Akaisin snapped his head back.

His aged eyes burned with such absolute majesty and fierce prohibition that Shin’s footsteps froze in utter helplessness.

Cheon Do-jin leisurely pulled out a handkerchief to wipe the blood from his hand, surveying the scene with detached eyes:

— “How touching, this grandfather-grandson bond, old man.”

Jiang Fengmo stepped up from the side, baring his teeth in a mocking grin:

— “Is it the real flesh-and-blood body this time, old man?

Or is it another illusionary rock?”

Akaisin hacked up several large gouts of blood, his weathered face deathly pale, yet the indomitable pride of a legend remained completely unscathed.

He let out a raspy, mocking chuckle:

— “Cough…

cough…

A freak duo as twisted as you two…

I’m 103 years old this year, and I’ve never seen such a bizarre pair of shits.

If this were my absolute zenith…

I would have smashed both your skulls to pieces with a few punches!”

Cheon Do-jin replied with total indifference:

— “In this era, as long as you have power and a bit of cunning, any outcome is acceptable.”

— “You new-generation punks…

is slaughter the only thing left in your heads?” Akaisin growled.

— “It doesn’t stop at mere slaughter…” Do-jin glanced over the corpse-laden junkyard, “…it has been elevated to the echelon of genocide!”

The Last Teleportation

Ignoring the two enemies before him, Akaisin stepped back slightly, shielding the three children.

Looking at the unconscious Kento and little Loona, who was trembling in absolute terror, sobbing uncontrollably while tightly clutching the hem of his tattered clothes, his heart wrenched.

Placing a heavy hand on Shin’s shoulder, he spoke rapidly in a low, urgent tone:

— “Shin!

Listen to my words carefully.

Remember what I told you last night?

That shard of iron…

hold onto it tightly and never lose it!

Promise me!”

Sensing an ominous finality, tears streamed down the young boy’s face:

— “Old man…

what the hell are you planning to do?!”

— “I’m going to use every last remnant of my fading power to teleport the three of you far away.

Remember…

Your future…

this old man can no longer walk beside you to see it.

Farewell, you little punk…

Farewell, Shin.”

— “Old m— NOOOOO!!!”

Akaisin didn’t give Shin a chance to finish.

Rapidly forming hand seals with both hands, he mobilized a massive explosion of Sophion energy:

— “All-Matter Exchange Art: Random Location!”

FLASH!!!

A blinding shroud of radiant light enveloped Shin, Kento, and Loona.

Within a mere fraction of a second, the silhouettes of the three children vanished completely into the void, leaving behind absolutely no trace.

Akaisin exhaled a long breath, standing firmly on both feet, his cold gaze locked dead onto the two killers before him:

— “Now…

it’s just me and the two of you.”

Witnessing this, Jiang Fengmo clutched his head, mockingly feigning a deeply moved expression before bursting into a hysterical, derisive cackle:

— “Oh my god, I’m practically crying from how touching this is!

And then the brats escape, and ten or twenty years later they’ll return, stand before us, and scream: ‘Today, I shall avenge my grandfather!’.

Hahaha!

Like that kind of garbage trope actually exists?

Once we finish you off, it won’t be too late to hunt down and slaughter those kids.”

The bandaged psycho licked his lips, his eyes gleaming with unparalleled, sickening depravity:

— “Though, I think I’ll spare that little girl, Loona.

We’ll set up a home together, and she’ll breed a bunch of beautiful babies for me.

What a blissful vision…

I’ll brutally domesticate her, just thinking about it gets me off!”

Hearing his partner’s vile words, even someone as completely detached as Cheon Do-jin furrowed his brows in disgust, spitting out:

— “You absolute dickhead, that’s fucking repulsive!”

Absolute Desolation

Hearing the psycho insult his granddaughter, the old man’s bloodlust exploded to its absolute limit.

He let out a low, menacing snarl, his voice dripping with dark malice:

— “Do you really think…

either of you has a snowball’s chance of leaving this junkyard alive today?

Take a good look at the trap I’ve already laid out for you.”

Cheon Do-jin gasped in realization as he abruptly noticed the surrounding energy warping into grotesque, unnatural anomalies.

He attempted to channel his Sophion to break free but found himself completely paralyzed.

He roared:

— “What is this?!

Another illusion?!

No…

this isn’t normal space!

You goddamn old bastard, you tricked me!”

— “Do-jin, this time I swear you will go straight to hell to atone to my two disciples!” Akaisin bellowed.

”Kūkan Hanten: Mugen Kasane!” (Spatial Inversion: Infinite Multiplicity)

Akaisin manipulated his Sophion at the highest molecular level, forcibly overlapping physical space onto itself like folding a sheet of Origami.

A single square meter of space before him now compressed thousands of spatial layers that constantly inverted and compounded.

This technique instantly and completely neutralized the afterimage storm of Myriad Afterimages — Spatial Blitz and severed the trajectories of the Invisible World-Severing Slash.

No matter if Fengmo sprinted at the speed of light, he was essentially running in place upon endless layers of overlapping dimensions; no matter how many slashes Do-jin unleashed, his strikes failed to advance even an inch.

Terrified, Cheon Do-jin attempted to instantly deploy his ultimate defensive move, Invincible Sanctuary, but Akaisin was already a step ahead.

He used Absolute Spatial Illusion to counter-interfere, causing the two spatial structures to violently collide and shatter instantly.

— “Ten Directions Flesh Lock!

500-Meter Radius!” the old man roared.

BA-BOOM!!!

The entire half-kilometer perimeter was instantly subject to frozen atmospheric pressure.

Both Do-jin and Jiang Fengmo were crushed by a weight equivalent to tens of thousands of tons, left to struggle agonizingly just to move an inch.

However, due to the gaping perforation in his abdomen being far too fatal, every time Akaisin forcibly executed a massive technique, he coughed up massive torrents of fresh blood.

Blood began to leak continuously from the old man’s eyes, nose, ears, and mouth.

His body was far too aged, burdened by a mortal wound and the severe backlash of the ultimate forbidden technique, Mugen Kasane.

His life force resembled a flickering candle in a violent tempest—already weak, now fading rapidly.

Yet, his eyes still burned with an unyielding, immortal conviction.

Gathering the absolute last remnants of his strength, he condensed the entirety of the Sophion within his body while madly absorbing the natural environmental Sophion of all living things into his cellular core.

— “You bastards should feel honored…

because this is the first and final time in my life that I will ever resort to this!” Akaisin locked his gaze onto his two enemies with the eyes of a judging deity.

“And above all else…

my three grandchildren WILL NEVER GIVE YOU FILTHY WILD ANIMALS ANOTHER CHANCE TO HURT THEM!!!”

”Void Divine Fall!”

With absolute resolve, he completely inverted the nuclear vortex within his own Sophion core, transforming his soul and physical body into a mobile dark matter reactor.

ZIP…

The absolute second the technique activated, all sound within the environment vanished entirely, plunging the world into a terrifying, dead silence.

A localized singularity, as minuscule as a grain of rice, materialized directly before Akaisin’s chest.

It instantly swallowed his body whole before expanding madly outward into a pitch-black celestial void, dragging all light, matter, earth, and space into its core.

Trapped within the 500-meter frozen perimeter, neither Cheon Do-jin nor Jiang Fengmo could escape.

Their bodies began to warp under the cataclysmic gravitational pull of the black hole, chunks of their flesh tearing away.

Before being consumed into absolute nothingness, Cheon Do-jin could only project one final cry of utter despair and deep-seated hatred across his consciousness: This chapter was taken from novelping dot com without permission.

— “YOU MISERABLE OLD BASTARD, I FUCKING HATE YOU!!!”

Reunion on the Far Shore

As his physical form dissolved into nonexistence, Akaisin’s consciousness suddenly drifted into a strange, beautifully serene void.

He opened his eyes, looking around in utter bewilderment:

— “Where on earth am I?

A place this magnificent, overflowing with light…

I’ve never set foot here before.”

— “Master!!!

You’ve finally come to find us!”

A crisp, deeply familiar voice echoed from up ahead.

Akaisin gave a start, lifting his gaze.

Out from the warm, radiant glow of the far shore, a youthful, vibrant figure came running toward him, their face beaming with joy.

Then, a succession of voices called out.

Emerging from the silver mist, dozens of silhouettes—the very disciples he had lost all those years ago—materialized simultaneously, enveloping the old man:

— “Master!

Have you finally quit drinking yet?”

— “Master, you look way too old!

Where did that youthful, majestic grandeur of yours from back in the day go?”

— “Master!

Do you still remember who I am?”

Beholding the faces of his spiritual children whom he had missed and agonized over night after night, tears streamed uncontrollably down the 103-year-old man’s face.

Trembling, he reached out his arms, choking back sobs:

— “Oh…

my disciples…

How could I ever forget you all…

I…

I failed you children so deeply!

I don’t deserve to be your master!

I didn’t make it in time to save you back then…

I’m so sorry…”

One disciple stepped forward, offering a gentle smile as they wiped the tears from his face:

— “What are you thinking, Master?

Did you really think we would hate you?

Oh, Master…

We could never hate you.

For a long time now, we’ve always looked up to you as our own biological father!”

Right then, an incredibly familiar voice arose.

The parents of Shin and Kento stepped out from the crowd, looking at him with warm smiles:

— “Master!

Did…

did our two boys, Shin and Kento, end up weighing you down?”

Akaisin looked at his two elite students, lightly shaking his head as a relaxed smile spread across his aged face:

— “No…

those two boys didn’t weigh me down in the slightest.

Rest easy, both of you.

They are incredibly obedient and unyielding.

They will undoubtedly forge a magnificent path entirely of their own.”

The husband and wife exchanged a glance, a content smile gracing their lips before bowing in unison:

— “Thank you, Master…

Thank you for taking care of our children in our stead all this time.”

At this moment, all the disciples gathered around, gently lifting Akaisin to his feet.

Together, they turned toward the brilliant light on the distant horizon, chattering happily as they walked:

— “Master, let’s go together!

This time in the afterlife, you have to teach me that new technique!

You promised!”

Akaisin looked around, letting out the happiest and most fulfilled smile of his tumultuous century-long life.

He nodded:

— “Alright!

I promise you all!”

Epilogue

Back in the real world.

In the center of the Dark Zone junkyard, a content smile rested lightly on the lips of old man Akaisin’s physical body.

Immediately after, his entire physical form dissolved into nothingness.

Simultaneously, the Void Divine Fall reached its absolute peak detonation, triggering a cascading spatial collapse of catastrophic proportions.

The massive black hole ravenously consumed, crushed, and disintegrated every piece of matter within its radius down to the very atom.

BA-BOOM!!!

A silent, soundless detonation carrying earth-shattering destructive force erupted.

The dark matter energy shockwave completely blasted away the Dark Zone.

The entire colossal junkyard, along with every neighboring region, completely evaporated from the map, leaving behind not a single speck of dust.

As the black light receded, nothing remained at the epicenter of the Dark Zone save for a gaping, bottomless, pitch-black crater—a solemn monument to the glorious demise of a supreme legend.
