Li Wenli and I were petrified with fear, not daring to rush towards the gate. That massive horde of monsters, conservatively estimated, numbered in the hundreds.

"Run to the dorms!" Li Wenli grabbed my arm and quickly turned around.

I had the heavy compound bow bag from the club strapped to my back, weighing a full ten kilograms, making it incredibly exhausting for me.Full novel: Zombie Survivor: I Became the Last Immune Human — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

It was peak time after class, and the campus was filled with clueless students. Some were strolling on the playground, others were just coming out of the cafeteria with lunch boxes, and some couples were whispering sweet nothings by the grove.

"Run! There's a killer!" I shouted at the top of my lungs as I ran.

Most people just stared at us blankly, and a few guys even pointed at the bow bag on my back, laughing, "Buddy, cosplaying? That gear looks solid."

Solid, my ass! I cursed inwardly.

Just then, screams erupted from the back of the crowd.

A slow-running fat guy was tackled by a pustule-covered monster from behind. The creature was brutally savage, biting right into the fat guy's buttocks, and blood instantly soaked through his jeans.

"Ah! It's really killing people!"

The crowd finally erupted in chaos, and we took advantage of the panic to successfully reach the vicinity of the dormitory area.

At the entrance to the dormitory area, Li Wenli finally let go of my hand. She was panting heavily, her long hair damp with sweat and sticking to her pale face.

I was also nearly exhausted.

I glanced at Building 1 of the boys' dormitory, planning to part ways with her, each of us hiding in our own place.

Suddenly, a large group of boys came tumbling out of the dormitory building.

"Help! The third floor is eating people!"

Damn, Building 1 is hopeless too?

I stood there in shock, watching several pustule-covered monsters stagger out of the lobby of Building 1, lunging at the fleeing students.

"Don't just stand there! Zhou Peiyu, come on!"

Li Wenli was frantically waving at me from the iron gate of Girls' Dormitory Building 2.

I finally snapped out of it. Going back to the boys' dorm was a death wish, so I leaped over the greenbelt and sprinted towards Building 2.

Just as I stepped through the red-painted iron gate, before I could catch my breath, the window of the dorm supervisor's office was suddenly pushed open.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" A dorm supervisor auntie, wearing a red armband and with a face full of flesh, stuck her head out, "This is the girls' dormitory! How dare you trespass? Which department are you from? Stop right there!"

I had no time to waste on her. I glanced back, and the monsters pouring out of the boys' dormitory Building 1 were already under the streetlights.

"Trespass my ass! Who cares about trespassing when lives are at stake!"

I ignored the auntie and dashed into the stairwell with Li Wenli.

"Hey! Stop! You pervert! I'm calling the police!" the auntie continued to shout from behind.

However, as we reached the corner of the second floor, the auntie's shouting abruptly stopped, her hoarse voice turning into a heart-wrenching scream.

"Ah—! No... Ah! Roar!"

Li Wenli and I exchanged a glance and continued running upstairs.

"Third floor... 3023! My dorm! Hurry!"

Li Wenli panted as she ran, her stamina nearly depleted.

Finally, we reached the end of the corridor at Dorm Room 3023.

Li Wenli kicked the door open and pulled me inside.

Close the door, lock it, bolt it, all in one swift motion.

We both collapsed at the entrance, sitting on the cold floor, gasping for air.

Damn, that was close.

"Ah! What are you doing?!"

Suddenly, a scream came from behind me.

Before I could react, something soft and fragrant with laundry detergent was thrown over my face with a "whoosh."

I grabbed the thing off my face and looked at it in my hand. Damn, it was a pink lace bra.

I awkwardly looked up, and sure enough, the dorm was full of people!

It was a standard long six-person room, with beds on top and desks below. At the moment, besides Li Wenli and me, there were five other girls in the room.

One was sleeping on the bed; two were sitting side by side in front of a computer, holding their phones; one was in pajamas, clutching another piece of underwear, her face flushed as she screamed at me, clearly the one who had thrown the "bra."

And another... was changing clothes in front of the wardrobe, her bare white back staring at me, the uninvited guest, in shock.

The scene fell into silence.

I awkwardly glanced at Li Wenli. After all, I was a guy with a huge black bag barging into an all-girls private space, looking like a pervert breaking in.

However, Li Wenli had no intention of speaking.

She caught her breath, stood up, and without even glancing at her roommates, walked straight to the dorm balcony.

"Li Wenli! Are you crazy?!"

The girl who had thrown the underwear finally exploded, pointing at Li Wenli's nose and cursing, "Are you a fing pervert? Where did you pick up this stray man? Bringing him to the girls' dorm? Li Wenli, if you're so desperate for a man, go rent a room! Bringing him to the dorm, what the hell is that?!"

Another girl playing with her phone also chimed in sarcastically, "Yeah, it's disgusting. Li Wenli, it's bad enough you don't fit in, but now you bring a man in here. Do you want us to report you to the counselor?"

I raised my hands helplessly, making a surrender gesture, "Ladies, listen to me, outside..."

"Shut up, pervert!" The girl wouldn't listen, grabbing a half-full bottle of mineral water from the table, ready to throw it at my head.

I quickly moved towards the balcony, passing by the girl who was halfway through changing clothes, desperately using her nightgown to cover her chest.

I clasped my hands together, whispering, "Sorry, really sorry."

Although it was nighttime, the dormitory building was equipped with large LED streetlights outside.

Under the dim white light, the chaotic situation was clearly visible.

Not far from the dormitory building, by the flowerbed, a girl in a miniskirt was being pinned to the grass by two pustule-covered monsters.

One of the monsters was frantically tearing at her abdomen, her intestines being pulled out. The girl could no longer scream, only her hands weakly clawing at the air.

In the distance, more screams and the sound of shattering glass echoed.

"Li Wenli! I'm talking to you, can't you hear?!"

The girl's voice rang out again from behind.

She rushed to the balcony door, trying to pull Li Wenli back.

Li Wenli was already annoyed, and at this life-and-death moment, having to listen to these idiots' chatter made her furious.

She turned around abruptly, shouting at the girl:

"Will you die if you shut up?! Look outside yourself! Has that tiny brain of yours not realized the situation?!"

The girl was stunned by the shout, then went even crazier, "Who are you calling names?! Li Wenli, you bitch! You..."

"Short temper for someone so small." Li Wenli sneered, "You look like a corgi, and you bark louder than one. If you think there are too many people in here, you can get the hell out."

The girl's face turned green with anger, her chest heaving, pointing at Li Wenli's nose, her fingers trembling:

"Fine... fine! Li Wenli, just you wait! I'm going to the dorm supervisor right now!"

She stormed out, dragging the girl who had just finished dressing with her, "Come on! Accompany me downstairs! I want to see if this school still has any rules!"

They clearly hadn't realized that any semblance of "rules" had completely collapsed ten minutes ago.

Li Wenli and I didn't have time to stop them before they stormed out, slamming the door with a loud bang.

Li Wenli's eyes narrowed, and she quickly ran forward.

She didn't chase after them but instead locked the door again with a "click."

Except for the one sleeping, the remaining two girls in the room looked at her in confusion. The girl sitting on the stool playing with her phone asked, "Li Wenli, why are you locking the door? Wang Shan won't be able to get back in."

Li Wenli stared coldly at the door, saying nothing.

It turned out the two girls had barely stepped out for five seconds.

"Ah—! Help! Get away! Ah!!!"
