The flashback ended there.

A lot of time had passed since Louis figured out his abilities.

It was a hassle having to carry a different belt every day.

Fortunately these belts had a mind of their own.

They had inherited the power of Kamen Rider Kuuga and usually stayed hidden in places no one could see or reach.

But the moment Louis wanted to transform they would appear at his waist on their own.

This way he avoided the nightmare scenario of a villain snatching his belt while he could only stare helplessly.

As for the transformation device itself that was another matter.

Louis still had not developed the superpower of telekinesis yet.

That said the Kabuto Zecter had a clear advantage over other devices.

Do not let its small and cute appearance fool you.

If you actually angered it it could easily pierce straight through a human body.

Not even Emu Hojo would be able to save the victim.

It was easily one of the most aggressive transformation devices out there.

“Louis you haven’t left yet?”

Zhu Yuan’s voice suddenly came from beside him.

Louis turned and saw the policewoman walking toward him.

He instantly panicked.

He had unconsciously walked out of the restroom while still holding the Kabuto Zecter in his hand.

This thing could not be seen in public.

Police officers had sharp instincts.

If she saw this and later witnessed it plugging into his belt during a transformation even an idiot would figure out who was inside the armor.

In a moment of desperation Louis tried to toss the Zecter away.

But there was a wall right in front of him.

With no other choice he gritted his teeth pulled open his waistband and quickly hid the Kabuto Zecter in his pants.

Emergency crotch storage activated.

“Hello Officer Zhu Yuan.”

Louis turned around with a stiff smile.

This beautiful woman really had terrible timing.

He should have known better than to reminisce inside the Security Bureau.

Would it not have been smarter to do that when facing an actual threat?

“You look awful.

Are you sick?

Should I take you to the infirmary?”

Zhu Yuan looked worried when she saw his expression.

This young man was her junior and would likely become a trusted comrade in the future.

She reached out and placed her gloved hand on his forehead but felt nothing through the fabric.

“No need.

I just have a bit of low blood pressure.

I will be fine soon…

Ahahaha.”

Louis quickly pulled his head back as Zhu Yuan leaned in closer.

This woman was dangerous.

She did not seem to realize how misleading her tone and actions were.

Louis would never fall for one of life’s greatest illusions.

Thinking a woman liked him.

Women would only slow down his transformation speed.

“If you are really okay…”

Just as Zhu Yuan was about to continue her gaze was suddenly drawn downward.

She looked at the large bulge in the middle of Louis’s sweatpants.

The bulge was slowly moving as if something alive was inside.

Louis noticed her eyes widen and looked down as well.

He nearly blacked out on the spot.

The Kabuto Zecter clearly hated dark places and was trying to crawl out to find some light.

“Zhu Yuan I can explain…”

Before Louis could finish the Kabuto Zecter pushed open a gap above his waistband.

A red metallic horn poked out.

From anyone else’s perspective the sight was extremely suggestive.

“Kyaaah!”

Zhu Yuan let out a rare scream.

Before Louis could react her right leg shot up in a powerful high kick.

Her blue military boot flew straight toward his head.

Louis only had time to catch a glimpse of the tight fabric between her legs stretched so tightly that a line formed from the tension.

Then everything went black.

Who knows how much time passed.

Louis woke up staring at an unfamiliar ceiling.

The sharp smell of hospital disinfectant filled the air.

His head throbbed badly like he had been kicked by a truck and then introduced to a wall.

This was exactly why he was called the Legendary Durable King.

Anyone else taking that kick would have been in a coma for three days straight.

Durable Physique was a passive skill every Kamen Rider possessed.

After all they regularly traded blows with monsters whose punches and kicks carried tens of tons of force.

If you were not durable enough getting hit in human form would leave you plastered to the wall waiting for the cleaning crew to scrape you off.

“Louis you are awake.

How do you feel?”

Zhu Yuan was sitting on a round chair beside the bed.

The moment she saw him open his eyes she leaned forward with clear concern.

Qingyi had visited earlier and left her with some memorable words.

‘Little Zhu Yuan if he ends up paralyzed you will have to take care of him for the rest of your life.

Congratulations on gaining an extra wild dad.’

Of course Qingyi was just teasing her.

Still it had scared Zhu Yuan quite badly.

One of her flaws was that her body always reacted faster than her brain.

It helped her in battle but caused problems in daily life.

“I saw my great-grandmother waving at me from across the river.” Louis murmured weakly.

“Do not go!”

Zhu Yuan grabbed his hand tightly.

Even through the glove he could feel the softness of her palm.

Maybe getting kicked was not such a bad deal after all?

A short while later Louis managed to sit up and lean against the headboard.

His complexion had mostly returned to normal.

Only then did Zhu Yuan finally relax.

“I am really sorry.

I thought you were being a pervert so I kicked on instinct.

I apologize.”

Zhu Yuan stood straight in front of him before bending into a deep ninety-degree bow.

The movement made her generous chest thrust forward nearly blinding Louis with the view.

Apologizing while pushing your chest out like that should be considered foul play Louis thought.

“Huh?”

Zhu Yuan did not catch what he mumbled and looked at him in confusion.

Louis quickly put on a serious face.

“I mean I forgive you.

Now you know just how durable I am.”

Louis patted the side of his head and smiled.

His title of Legendary Durable King was not just for show.

His survivability was off the charts.

“Eh?

You forgive me that easily?

Do not you want any compensation?

I have already prepared my bank card.”

Zhu Yuan looked at him in disbelief.

As the one who injured him she felt she had to make it right.

If Louis decided to sue her title of Best Security Officer of the Year would vanish instantly.

She did not care much about the title.

She just wanted to properly compensate him.

“It is not that serious.

We both made mistakes here.

I should not have hidden weird stuff in my pants.”

Louis waved his hand casually.

Although the kick hurt like hell it was not necessarily a bad thing.

At least now he had some connection with Zhu Yuan.

Exchanging private numbers later was pretty much guaranteed.

Women might slow down his transformation speed but he had to admit she was really attractive.

A little delay would not kill him.

“What was that thing anyway?

When I brought you to the infirmary it ran away super fast.”

Zhu Yuan finally asked about the escaped rhinoceros beetle.

She had not gotten a clear look but she was sure it was not what she had first assumed.

She had misunderstood badly.

“Uh…

it was a little kitten I found in the restroom.

It must have gotten lost.

I was trying to take it outside but it crawled into my pants right when you showed up.”

Louis had no choice but to make up a story.

As long as the Kabuto Zecter stayed hidden his sacrifice was worth it.

“A red kitten?

That is pretty rare.”

Zhu Yuan sighed.

The Security Bureau handled all kinds of strange cases.

Lost pets being brought in for safekeeping was actually pretty common.

“It is getting late.

I should head home now.

See you tomorrow.”

Louis felt well enough to move.

He got off the bed put on his shoes and stood up.

“Wait.

Let us exchange contact information.

The doctor said you are fine but just in case you feel unwell later contact me right away.

My phone is on twenty-four hours a day.”

Zhu Yuan grabbed his arm before he could leave.

This time she was holding her personal phone not the work communicator.

She was confident in the power of her kicks.

She could shatter weaker Ethereals in one strike.

Yet she was still worried about him.

“Alright.

Thank you Officer Zhu Yuan.”

Inside Louis was already doing a victory pose.

Just as he had predicted.

Kind and honest policewomen like Zhu Yuan were easy to read.

“Just call me Zhu Yuan when we are alone.

No need to be so formal.”

Zhu Yuan smiled as they exchanged numbers.

She had a very good impression of Louis.

Even though he was the victim he remained humble and polite.

It only made her feel more embarrassed.

Since they were close in age there was no real need to act like a strict senior.

“Zhu Yuan next time I will treat you to coffee from the shop downstairs from my place.”

Louis smiled casually planting a future invitation.

This way asking her out later would not feel sudden.

“Mm.

Why do not I drive you home?”

Zhu Yuan nodded and offered.

The benefits of playing the injured card were still in effect.

If he wanted he could even ride in the beautiful policewoman’s private car.

“I have a car.”

Louis shook his head and refused.

Zhu Yuan followed him out of the ward and escorted him all the way to the Security Bureau’s parking lot.

She watched as he got on a black motorcycle.

After Louis put on his helmet and started the engine he rode off into the traffic.

Only then did the policewoman turn around and head back inside.
