The door to the bathroom opened with the steam coming out behind him.

Anthony was very satisfied after the second shower.

His body finally had enough, and Anthony was happy to go to sleep now.

Tomorrow he would go back to the office satisfied with the vacation.

He watches the girl sleeping on her back.

A slight frown crept up to his forehead.

He thought the girl was sleeping on her sides.

For some reason he didn’t expect her to even be able to move after he had drained her.

He watched the blanket lift and fall.

She was still breathing at least.

Anthony chuckled and reached for the cigarette on the side table.

He took the packet on the side of the ashtray.

There was some powdered ash on the corner as well.

He took one and lit it.

The cold wind felt good on his skin.

Anthony pulled the bathrobe tight as he made his way to the balcony.

The wind made a change in the flowing of the curtain.

Anthony smirked and lazily walked to the balcony.

He did not notice anything in his daze and stood at the border.

The masked one stood in the same place.

Her body was visible with the red cape, but strangely, Anthony did not notice the figure standing there.

She tilted her head and waited for him to notice, but for some reason he did not notice her at all.

“This will be easier than I thought.” She quickly made a sign to the cat and took a step forward.

Her hand held the knife on her right.

Anthony did not notice the approaching figure until she was just one hand’s distance from him.

He felt a presence.

Anthony thought it was the escort he called today.

‘She must have woken up with me walking around.’

“You took a while to notice me, Candy.” He chuckled and turned slowly.

Anthony’s eyes went large as the figure was directly close to him.

His mouth dropped as recognized the features.

In the middle of the night, a masked serial killer roamed the city with the intent of killing their target.

The cigarette fell from his fingers to the ground.

He unconsciously leaned back; just then, Anthony lost his balance and almost toppled on the other side of the fenced barrier.

The masked one reached over and grabbed his collar.

Anthony was shocked with the strength the masked one pulled him back to a stand.

He lifted his hand and tried to remove the grip.

The masked one chuckled and leaned closer to whisper in his ear.

“I thought you were strong, but it seems fear is something that makes you weak as well.”

That was another shock for Anthony.

“Who are you?” he asked with anger as his hands kept hard grip on the masked ones hand still trying to break free from the grip.

It was like an iron clip; no matter what he does, it does not budge.

Anthony realized the horror of this and screamed for help.

“HELP!

ANYONE THERE?

CANDY, CALL THE POLICE!”

However, no one heard him, and the girl was just lying there sleeping.

“She is exhausted due to your work; it was such a bad thing to do.

I wish you repented for the crime you did, but you would rather do the crime that is not right.

You made those people suffer.”

Her voice was so low that it made Anthony shiver.

He tried to kick her, but the masked one anticipated this and grabbed her free leg and pushed it back.

Next, the masked one kicked him on the same leg.

Anthony felt pain beyond his imagination.

He groaned and limped on her hand.

The kick made a hard pain in his thigh, making him feel the heat of pain.

The masked one looked unfazed.

Anthony took deep breaths; the hold on his bathrobe collar was making him uncomfortable.

He rushed to struggle out of the grip by landing some hits on the masked one.

The appearance of this one was already making him shiver in fear.

The red cap and the sad, emotion-etched mask on her face were already giving a line that he is not here to leave him alone.

The masked one will be killing him.

The only way Anthony could survive is to run or for someone to enter the room to stop.

But for some reason, no one could hear him; even the girl on the bed was not moving at all.

‘What is the meaning of this?’Anthony thought in frustration.

Then the realization came into his mind.

“You made her faint, didn’t you?”

His eyes went bigger with the next realization.

“You are using the noise canceller.”

The masked one again reached forward to speak.

“Glad you figured it out.

Isn’t it amazing?

You already used it to kill those people before.”

The masked one tilted her head from left to right, happy that he realized it.

“We have wasted a long time now.

This is a present from my client.”

She took out the knife quickly from the belt before Anthony could realize what was going on.

He was stabbed in his stomach.

The pierce made his grip on the masked one’s hand slack.

He breathed heavily as warm, sticky blood came gushing out of his stomach, staining the bathrobe.

The towels soaked as the dark red blood made its way around the threads of the white.

“Why?

Why should you kill me like this?” Anthony felt the blood foam around his mouth.

He felt all the energy in his body drain as he watched the masked one before him. Read this novel at g.com for the best experience.

She chuckles, “Since you are dying, let me tell you.

It is just something requested by my client.

They wanted revenge.”

She spoke, but her voice was just enough for him to hear.

The masked one tapped on the shoulder of the cat.

As her hand let go of his collar, Anthony tried to stand straight, but his body was curved into a slump.

“Who …

who is it that made the request?” His volume was down as well.

There was hardly any sound coming out.

The masked one raised the knife again.

“You can meet them soon in the afterlife.” She smirked behind the mask and stabbed him in the heart.

Anthony’s body jerked at the pressure.

She quickly pulled the knife out as Anthony slumped on the ground.

The masked one was careful not to let him fall as the fall would mask her handy work.

She wants the way of killing to be seen, but who has done it should be masked.

The smirk on her face was covered by the mask, but she could not help but smile.

‘The death of the one who tormented the innocent.’She watched him as he struggled to keep his body alive.

He noticed the cat climbing down from her shoulder to the ground.

For a moment there he thought the cat was strangely looking at him; it was as if the cat was like a human.

Then the next moment the cat left to go inside the room.

To think no one saw who killed him.

He could have survived.

Blood poured down from his body both from the heart and the stomach.

He was clutching his stomach, but there was no use now as the blood kept on gushing out all over his body.

The towel turned red as he fell, sitting on the floor.

His legs were at an awkward angle.

‘If only the phone were close to my hand.’ He thought in regret as his body felt cold, and the last picture in his eyes was the masked one looking down at him.

The masked one waited until the soul left the body.

She groaned as the bathrobe was completely soaked.

She wanted to drag him to a room, but it would only create more stains.

“I have checked both of their phones; there is nothing recording.” The cat came back; he kept a bit away, making sure to not step on the blood.

The masked one, however, had splatters of blood on her uniform.

“This is worse than before.” She made the signs for the reply.

Her mood was sour.

“I told you to be careful.

It seems you have to discard the suit now.” The cat groans.

He did not get up to her shoulder anymore.

The fur on his back needs to stay clean.
