The masked one then crouched down.

She reached over and closed his eyes.

A small bit of decency in her made her close the eyes of the dead even though she was the one killing them.Full novel: 100 Faces — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

At the same time, she searched his body carefully not to change the position he was sitting.

There was nothing to, fortunately.

She fixed his bathrobe as well so that it did not look decent.

“If he was not just lusting in there a few moments ago, I would have felt sorry for this one.” The cat made a face.

He was not happy with how the human worked.

“There are moments of the devil that make the human beings feel the need to bend on the dark side.

No matter how much the devil coaxed the individual.

He made the decision to listen to the devil.” She replied and took out the mask from her face.

The beautifully gem-decorated mask had little splatters of blood.

She kept the mask on his left side while the knife was on his right.

The masked one glanced at the room inside.

“She is out cold, already exhausted, and now you made her faint as well.

I can assure you she has seen nothing.” The cat said, looking at her expression.

“Then we are done here; let’s leave.” The masked one was careful to wipe out the shoe prints with the napkin and then used the rope to climb up.

She can do nothing more to the crime scene; it was already a mess.

However, unknown to her, there was someone who watched the whole thing happen from the other side.

The windows were dark and the masked one thought everyone was asleep but there was someone breathing heavy covering his mouth peeking from the side of the curtain careful not to show even a bit of his body.

Mr.

Stephan woke up at night to get a glass of water as his throat hurt from dryness.

He was far from the window when his eyes caught something red in the gray scene.

The darkness of the night would only give view to the small yellow window lights at some of them.

The hotel before him was one of the brightest in the area, as they are pretty popular.

Stephan was a bit curious and only walked closer to the window.

It was already closed with the heavy curtain, but a bit was open in the middle.

Getting closer, his body shivered as he saw the whole scene carry out.

He only had the common sense to hide behind the curtain so that the red-cloaked man killing the bathrobe did not see him.

Sleep left him that night.

**************************************************************************************************

It was a mess for the police and a party for the reporters.

The hotel room was closed off by the yellow tape as soon as the police arrived.

The reporters, however, got a good number of pictures and videos with their gadgets.

City X was very popular with the news spreading around.

Just like the police having hidden civilians on the road.

The reporters also pass out some cash for news.

Already, they had the big names in Porter’s Construction Company tailed after the death of Liam Foster, and this morning at least the big news channel moved in quickly with the news of the murder.

The hotel staff had to run out to stop the reporters, as this is quite a state for the dead one.

Mr.

Anthony was a famous name after Jeffery and Liam.

He did not get as much spotlight like he is having now during his death.

The police came quickly and made a round barrier around them to keep the reporters a safe distance away.

“Keep distance from the crime scene.” Jamie shouted to the reporters, waving his hand along with the others.

They had to confiscate some of their devices as well, which resulted in some of the reporters giving out angry outrage.

Samantha was standing close to him with her back turned to the crowd.

Her mouth opened as she tried to understand the crime scene.

She was trying to understand the motive of the killer.

To kill someone on the balcony, and no one understood when the killing was done.

“It is strange that no one understood who killed the man…” she rubbed her bottom lip as she blinked, trying to keep her eyes open in the middle of the sudden flashes.

The officers were trying their best to control the reporters, but it is not easy to stop a crowd of curious people with phones taking pictures with flashes as well as the reporters making schemes.

Samantha rubbed the back of her neck.

“I need to get a witness, but will there be any?”

“No one was up in the dead of the night, for the sound he must have used a noise canceller.” Jamie replied as he gave up on the reporters and only managed to make a border with his team.

“You would hope there was someone who would see something in the hotel, but there was none inside the hotel.

Even the guards in the front did not notice anything.” He added frowning.

“The height kind of makes it easy to overlook.

My thoughts are on the other buildings.

Was there no one who saw anything there?” Jamie shook his head.

“We are still asking for now.” Jamie felt his shoulder sag.

He watches the buildings on the opposite side.

This will take a long time.

He mentions and leaves without getting a reply.

Samantha sighs, running.

To Alex, this was a new case of mockery.

“This is interesting to see.”

He watched the man almost sliding down on the ground.

His bathrobe is drenched in blood, which has started to dry.

The rusty smell, however, did not leave the place yet.

Pictures were taken, and the whole scene was dusted.

As soon as he entered, his eyes went to the woman sitting and taking notes.

This time she was wearing a plastic suit.

Her shoes were close to the drying blood on the balcony.

Alex took the cigar out of his mouth and quickly put it inside his pocket.

“Mr.

Anthony is dead in a hotel room.

Something I did not expect.”

“And that is not all there is…” Orion suddenly arrived with a coffee in his hand.

Alex welcomed the coffee smell.

“What do you mean that is not all?” Alex asked curiously.

Orion scoffed, “He was found with a lady.”

Alex raised an eyebrow as he turned to watch the dead Anthony.

“There was more than one body?”

He moved, trying to see the room.

“Did you remove the body already?”

“There was no body, Alex.

She was alive…

and taken to the hospital.” Orion rolled his eyes.

“Tell me the whole situation; I feel confused here.” Alex took a sip of the coffee, frowning.

The details did not click in his head yet.

Orion led the way to the victim’s body as Alex took another sip from the coffee, thinking hard.

“The housekeeper found them early in the morning.

She knocked twice, but there was no answer.

Mr.

Anthony was supposed to leave the hotel this morning.

She took her keycard to open it only to find a young lady sleeping on the bed.

She quickly muttered an apology and went to close the door, only to be hit with a rusty smell.

The next moment she noticed the pool of blood seeping from the other side of the curtain and found the body.” Orion replied.

They both stopped at the edge of the balcony.

The state was something comical to Alex.

He was still processing the state.

Unlike the Liam Foster case, this one was completely different.

“And what of the lady?

Where does she fit here?” Orion chuckled.

Emily also shook her head in disapproval.

“Mr.

Anthony has a wife and a family back in the city.

This is his escape for his private life.”
