Tristan stepped into the building and immediately he heard sound, sounds of things like liquid hitting the floor very hard.
He followed the sounds until he reached one of the inner rooms. The moment he pushed the door open wider, he stopped.
Nadia stood in the center of the wide, almost empty space, tearing blood bags open with her teeth, in sharp, angry motions and flinging the contents across the floor. Dark red liquid splattered over the floor and ran toward the legs of a wooden table where the bags were stacked.
In the corner, two young men pressed themselves against the wall, their faces were pale in horror mixed with fear.
"Please stop. Please." one of them begged. "It’s hard to get this supply. You’re destroying our business-"
Nadia paused and looked at them. Her cold expression became colder then a scoff escaped her lips.
"I’m in a very bad mood today. And be informed, I won’t stop at your goods." She pulled a knife from her bag at that point then added lowly, making the statement more dreadful;
"I’ll destroy the two of you as well."
She didn’t let the statement settle fully before begining to walk toward them. The men didn’t make any move to run, they only backed further into the wall as if the fear had gotten a hold of their feet, making them rooted to the spot.
"Nadia!" Tristan yelled. He crossed the room quickly and grabbed both of Nadia’s wrists.
"What the hell are you doing?" he demanded.
Nadia’s head snapped toward him. "What the hell are you doing? Let go of me!" she shot back.
"I can’t let go until you stop." He told her firmly, looking into her eyes which seemed to spitting fire.
"Then I will make you!" She gnashed then began to twist hard, trying to break free. The movement threw them off balance. Tristan shifted to keep control of her hands and ended up pressing her back against the wall his chest pressed against hers, their bodies locked close by the struggle.
"Let go of me!"Nadia kept wriggling. The motion made her hips drag firmly across the front of his trousers.
Tristan’s body reacted before he could stop it.
He had not touched a woman since waking in this body. In his previous life he rarely went a full day without release. The sudden friction and heat were enough. His cock decided to grow a mind of its own and without Tristan’s intelligent mind’s consent, the cock hardened rapidly against her.
Nadia went still for a second as she felt it. Then she deliberately shifted her hips again, slower, testing what she had felt. The pressure drew a stronger response from him.
Tristan’s jaw clenched.
’Behave, we’re a gentleman! Not now.’ he ordered his body Inwardly but the cock refused to listen.
Nadia’s eyes narrowed.
"Get off me."
"No."
She let out a short scoff. "Did you say no because you’re enjoying it, you pervert?" she tried to push him away but Tristan wouldn’t let go. He was pinning her hands to the wall so she would drop the knife but she refused.
"No." Tristan replied again.
She rubbed against him once more on purpose and his cock hardened further.
Giving the speed he was becoming hard, Tristan knew something else was at work.
"Lysander," he growled in his mind.
Her voice came soft and amused;
"I only intensified it a little, my darling Host. Your body already remembered what it had been missing. I simply made the reaction stronger so you could use it to help contain her. If you handle this properly, it can work in your favor."
Tristan’s internal reply was a low curse.
At the same time Nadia’s voice rose again.
"Are you going to keep poking me with that thing? Get it off me!"
Tristan gritted his teeth, forced himself to step back, and released her.
The moment the pressure disappeared, Nadia shoved away from the wall and lunged toward the two young men. They still had not moved, too stunned by the scene.
Tristan caught her from behind before she could reach them. One arm locked around her waist while the other trapped her arms. He was already breathing harder from the struggle.
"Why didn’t you two run?" he shouted at the men, his voice coming out voice.
"We can’t leave our goods behind!" one of them answered.
Tristan’s eyes flicked to the remaining blood bags on the table and he heaved in exasperation. He made a quick decision.
"Fine. I know what to do."
"Stop poking me with your damned hardness!" Nadia yelled at that moment.
He tightened his hold, lifted Nadia off the floor from behind, and carried her toward the exit while she twisted and cursed.
He ignored the heat in his face and the uncomfortable tightness in his trousers, focused only on getting her out of the room. He was able to drag her through the doorway and outside the building. Only when they were clear did he set her down, both of them breathing heavily from the struggle.
Nadia staggered a step, then spun to face him, her eyes burning.
"Why can’t you think like a normal person?" Tristan snapped at her, still catching his breath.
"I’m not a normal person," she shot back. "There’s no point pretending."
"Even so, you can’t just attack people like that. You could end up in jail. How many time will I tell you that today?" he frowned.
Nadia spat to the side. "Vampires don’t die that easily, dumbo. I only planned to injure them badly. They deserve it."
Tristan stared at her. "Why?"
She held his gaze for a moment. Then, without answering, she moved.
One second she stood in front of him. The next she was gone leaving a short, blurred burst of residual speed that carried her out of immediate reach.
Tristan’s eyes widened in shock.
"Lysander. What just happened?"
"She used a limited burst of vampire speed. The curse weakens it, so it’s nowhere near her real ability. If you run hard enough, you can still catch her before she causes real damage." Lysander explained.
The two young vampires stepped out of the building, looking shaken.
"Who are you?" one asked.
"Her husband," Tristan answered flatly.
They exchanged a startled look. He didn’t give them time for more questions.
"You’re vampires too. Why stand there and let her wreck everything?"
The shorter one spoke first.
"We deserve it. We offended her many years ago. Whenever her temper gets bad enough, she remembers and comes for us to unleash the anger."
Tristan’s expression tightened. "Oh, that’s how she releases stress? Incredible." He mumbled to himself then he realized something fast.
"Wait, Are there others like you? I mean, others that she uses to release aggression?" he asked and then he already dreaded the answer.
"A lot," the second one said.
Tristan exhaled once through his nose. The day was nowhere near finished.
He turned away from them.
"Lysander. How fast do I need to go?"
"Very very fast, Host. Push this body hard if you want to reach her in time." Then the system dinged;
[SYSTEM SUPPORT ACTIVATED]
At that, a pointer appeared and Lysander told Tristan to follow it. It would lead Tristan to the direction of Nadia, he just needed to run very very very fast.
Tristan cursed under his breath, then broke into a full run in the direction Nadia had disappeared.
