Download
Tap the button above on your Android phone. Chrome may warn that the file can harm your device. That is its standard message for any app from outside the Play Store. Choose Download anyway.

Open it
Tap Open when the download finishes, or find NovelCodex in your Downloads.

Allow the install
The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from your browser: tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back.

Install and sign in
Tap Install, open NovelCodex and sign in with your existing account. Your library, progress and tokens are already there.
Questions
Is this the same app as the one on Google Play?
The same reader, with two differences: purchases are paid with card through Stripe, as on the website, and the full library is available. The Play Store version uses Google Play billing. Both can be installed side by side.
How do updates work?
The library, the reader and new features update by themselves, because the app loads them from novelcodex.org. A new download is only needed for changes to the app shell itself. When one is out, the app tells you and links back here.
Is it safe?
The APK is built and signed by us and served only from novelcodex.org. Its SHA-256 checksum is listed under the download button, so you can check the file you received is ours. The app never asks for access to your files, contacts, camera or location.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. On iPhone, read on the website: open novelcodex.org in Safari and use Share → Add to Home Screen for an app-like shortcut.
