Amon and Seraphina stepped off the bus together.
However, neither of them immediately said anything as they stood beside the crowded street.
The two of them had agreed to go on a date, yet now that they were actually outside together, things had become awkward.
Amon glanced at Seraphina from the corner of his eye. "Is this your first date?"
Seraphina’s expression immediately became embarrassed.
"Yes... My mother is extremely strict, so I never really had the chance to go on one."
Amon raised an eyebrow. ’Isn’t her mother’s control a bit too much of her life?’
He got interested in knowing more about her. "What does your mother do?"
Seraphina sighed while walking a few steps ahead of him.
Her expression became slightly helpless as she thought about her family.
"She’s the head of the weapon business my grandmother left behind, so she’s always been busy with work and watching over me."
Amon nodded slowly as he listened.
"If you ever need a weapon, don’t hesitate to ask her," Seraphina added after a moment, her voice becoming slightly more relaxed.
"She can probably get you something much better than what you’ll find in ordinary stores."
Amon smiled when he heard that and casually shoved his hands into his pockets.
"I can probably get it for free."
Seraphina looked at him with confusion before Amon gave her a shameless smile.
"I have something really good I can tell your mother."
Her expression froze for several seconds before she finally understood what he was implying.
Her entire face immediately turned bright red. "You wouldn’t!"
Amon chuckled while continuing to walk. "I’m only saying that I have some interesting information."
"She would kill me and you." Seraphina muttered while glaring at him. "Don’t think about messing with her, Amon."
"Yeah, yeah." He didn’t take her warning seriously. "I am so scared of your ice-cold mother~."
"Amonnn."
The boy stopped at a smaller section of the market where several independent merchants had set up their shops.
Amon immediately noticed a small stall filled with jewelry and magical accessories.
He walked inside with Seraphina following behind him.
His [Merchant’s Divine Insight] quietly activated and began examining everything around them.
Most of the jewelry was ordinary, but after several seconds, Amon’s eyes stopped on a small pair of silver earrings decorated with tiny blue crystals.
[Glacial Earrings]
[Seller’s Price: 5 Silver Coins]
[Actual Value: 83 Silver Coins]
[Effect: Increases the efficiency of Ice Mana circulation.]
[Additional Effect: Slightly improves the user’s compatibility with Ice-type abilities.]
Amon’s eyes immediately brightened when he read the information.
He picked up the earrings and turned toward the merchant before paying the five silver coins without even bothering to negotiate.
Seraphina watched him with suspicion until Amon finally held the earrings toward her.
"Here."
She stared at the jewelry before looking back at him with disbelief, clearly realizing what he was trying to do.
"You shouldn’t keep giving me things."
Amon shrugged while placing the earrings into her hand, completely ignoring her attempt to refuse them.
"I bought it because I wanted to."
"But I came here because I felt guilty about accepting the cultivation method, not so you could give me more things."
Amon looked at her for a moment before giving her a small smile.
His expression becoming unusually dramatic. "It would hurt my feelings if you rejected something I bought specifically for you."
Seraphina stared at him for several seconds before letting out a quiet sigh.
She clearly realized that arguing with him was probably pointless. "Fine."
Amon’s smile immediately returned as he took the earrings from her hand and stepped closer.
"Hold still."
Seraphina’s eyes blinked quickly when Amon reached toward her ear.
She remained still as he carefully placed the earrings in position.
Her cheeks slowly became red as she felt his fingers brush against her hair.
She suddenly became painfully aware of how close the two of them were standing.
Amon stepped back once he finished and looked at her with a satisfied expression.
"There."
Seraphina touched the earring cautiously, but her expression changed almost immediately when she sensed the mana flowing through her body.
The circulation was noticeably smoother, while the ice mana inside her core seemed to respond much more naturally than before.
"Did you..."
She couldn’t finish the sentence because the improvement was so obvious.
Amon simply smiled before gesturing toward the entrance. "Come on, there are still plenty of places we haven’t visited."
He ignored the System notification for now and kept on walking.
Seraphina followed him outside while occasionally touching the earrings.
She was still unable to believe that he had casually purchased something capable of improving her cultivation.
They continued walking through the market until they eventually came across a flower shop filled with colorful flowers.
Amon immediately walked inside and began examining them one by one, while his [Merchant’s Divine Insight] revealed their value and hidden properties.
Seraphina watched him for a while before finally becoming annoyed.
"You should be doing this for your girlfriend instead of me."
Amon stopped searching and turned toward her with a confused expression.
"My girlfriend?" He glanced around the shop before looking back at her. "That spot is empty."
Seraphina’s cheeks became slightly pink, but she still maintained her usual sharp expression.
"And you want me to fill it?"
Amon smiled. "Do you want to?"
Seraphina looked away while pretending to examine one of the flowers.
Though the redness spreading across her cheeks betrayed her embarrassment.
"If I accepted that offer, you might accidentally crush me."
Amon couldn’t help laughing when he heard that. "What if I lose all my weight?"
Seraphina glanced at him again before giving a small shrug. "Then I might consider it."
Amon’s smile widened. "Deal."
They eventually left the flower shop after Amon bought her an expensive flower.
The pair roamed around while talking about random things.
By the time they reached a restaurant, the awkwardness between them had almost disappeared.
Seraphina was no longer walking several steps away from him.
They chose a table near the window and ordered several plates of raw meat along with different beverages, while a small stove was placed between them.
Amon picked up a piece of meat and placed it onto the hot surface as the pleasant smell quickly filled the table.
Seraphina watched the meat cook for a moment before looking toward him.
"This is actually pretty good."
Amon nodded while turning the meat over with a pair of chopsticks. "I thought you might like it."
With a smile, he picked up a piece of meat and brought it close to her mouth.
The girl blushed and quickly took the bite while every boy there glared at Amon.
’...Yeah, I am a lucky son of a gun.’
Eventually, Amon remembered something that he had been keeping to himself and looked toward her with a strange smile.
"By the way, there’s something you should know about that cultivation technique."
Seraphina immediately stopped eating and looked at him. "What?"
Amon leaned back slightly while watching her reaction.
"The cultivation method I gave you isn’t complete."
Seraphina’s hand froze in its place.
Amon calmly picked up another piece of meat and placed it onto the grill before continuing.
"It’s only about half of the entire technique."
Seraphina’s eyes widened as she stared at him in complete disbelief.
"...What?"
