Afraid that they would attract attention, the men became more ruthless. Several of them pinned Zhang Shaoying to the ground, making it impossible for her to get up. One of them slapped Wang Xiaomei hard enough to knock her to the ground. While Zhang Shaoying was being held down, the remaining four men split into pairs and carried Wu Qin and Wen Jiaojiao away.

Whenever the women resisted, they were met with another slap.

Blood filled the corner of Zhang Shaoying’s mouth, and she was frantic with worry.Full novel: 1980s: The Reborn Military Flower Is Coaxed by the Soldier King into Having His Baby — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“You bastards! Just wait until you’re behind bars!”

Wen Jiaojiao had one hand clamped over her mouth, and she had also been kicked in the stomach. She struggled desperately. The man holding her had not been prepared for her to bite his hand, and he immediately yanked it back in pain.

Taking advantage of the opening, Wen Jiaojiao shouted, “Shaoying, run! Go back and call the police first!”

As soon as she finished speaking, her mouth was covered again. One of the men slapped her across the face.

“Keep your mouth shut!”

Her delicate cheek immediately swelled. Wen Jiaojiao stared at them coldly.

They dared to abduct people in broad daylight. These probably weren’t ordinary street thugs. There was a good chance they had someone powerful backing them.

The more frightened she felt inside, the calmer she made herself appear on the outside. She had to think of a way to protect herself and Wu Qin until help arrived.

The four thugs dragged them into the woods beside the road. They couldn’t do anything right there in broad daylight, so one of them shouted toward the men still holding Zhang Shaoying.

“Let’s go! Two is better than none!”

The two women were the prettiest, so they were naturally their targets. The men weren’t afraid of being caught by the police. They figured that by the time the police found them, they would already be long gone in another province.

Wang Xiaomei had been knocked unconscious, and Zhang Shaoying had also been badly beaten. As soon as the men left, Zhang Shaoying immediately scrambled to her feet.

After hesitating for only a second, she hoisted the unconscious Wang Xiaomei onto her back and ran toward the military base.

Fortunately, she was physically strong. If she had been an ordinary young woman, none of the four would have been able to escape.

Fury burning inside her, she ran for more than ten minutes. Then, in the distance, she saw a familiar military jeep approaching.

Joy flashed across Zhang Shaoying’s face. She quickly lowered Wang Xiaomei to the ground and waved desperately at the vehicle.

Jiang Ting noticed her immediately. Seeing that something was wrong, he slammed on the accelerator and drove toward her.

The two men jumped out of the vehicle.

Seeing his sister in such a sorry state, Zhang Shaobing hurriedly asked, “Yingzi, what happened?”

Zhang Shaoying said anxiously, “Quick! Jiaojiao and Wu Qin were kidnapped by some thugs! Go save them!”

The moment Jiang Ting heard that they had been abducted, a chilling, murderous aura spread from him.

“Report the situation clearly!”

Zhang Shaoying immediately gave them a brief account of what had happened.

After listening, Jiang Ting ordered, “Zhang Shaobing, carry the unconscious comrade into the vehicle. Zhang Shaoying, get in the passenger seat and direct us.”

“Yes, sir!”

“Yes, sir!”

The siblings moved quickly, and soon they reached the place where the fight had occurred.

Zhang Shaoying pointed toward the woods beside the road.

“They went in that direction. The vehicle can’t get through there.”

Jiang Ting immediately got out.

“Zhang Shaoying, stay in the vehicle. Your brother and I will go look for them.”

Watching the two men disappear into the woods, Zhang Shaoying shouted loudly, “Bring them back safely!”

Both men were reconnaissance soldiers, and tracking was one of their specialties.

Those thugs were nowhere near the level of professional mercenaries. They had left traces all along the way.

The two men moved through the woods like two swift hunting leopards. Zhang Shaobing had already notified the regiment.

Kidnapping innocent women in broad daylight—these men were unbelievably brazen!

……

Completely helpless against their captors, Wen Jiaojiao and Wu Qin were dragged into a dilapidated wooden shack.

Farmland surrounded the broken building, and there wasn’t a single person in sight. Even if they screamed until their throats were raw, no one would come.

Wu Qin was already terrified. Her face was deathly pale, and tears streamed continuously down her cheeks.

Wen Jiaojiao was frightened too, but she forced herself to remain calm and tried to negotiate.

“Do you know who we are?”

The blond-haired man leered at them.

“I know. You’ll be our wives soon enough.”

Wu Qin spat at him angrily.

“Ptui! Dream on!”

Wen Jiaojiao clenched her fists, suppressing her disgust and murderous rage. In a cold voice, she said, “Let me tell you something. My father is a wealthy businessman. If you lay a finger on us today, my father won’t let you off!”

“Name your price. As long as you let us go, I’ll give you however much money you want.”

The words made the thugs hesitate. Even Wu Qin looked at her in surprise, but she quickly understood what Wen Jiaojiao was trying to do—buying time.

Wu Qin hurriedly wiped away her tears.

“That’s right. Her family is rich. How much money do you want? We can give it to you!”

The blond-haired man and the others exchanged glances. One of them seemed tempted.

“How much can you give us?”

Wen Jiaojiao seized the opportunity.

“As long as it’s not too unreasonable, I can give you whatever you want.”

“Do you have five thousand?”

Wen Jiaojiao deliberately looked troubled.

“That’s too much.”

“I want five thousand. If you can give me that much, I’ll let you both go.”

Wen Jiaojiao pretended to hesitate. Finally, she gritted her teeth.

“Fine. Five thousand it is. Let us go first, and we’ll go home and get the money.”

The two women nervously held each other’s hands, their palms covered in sweat.

But the blond-haired men weren’t that easy to fool.

“You agreed way too quickly. Aren’t you trying to trick us?”

“You think we’re stupid? A rich businessman’s daughter would dress this poorly? Do you really think we care about your five thousand?”

The men laughed lecherously.

“Don’t even think about stalling for time. Make us happy, and we’ll be the ones giving you money!”

Wen Jiaojiao’s guess had been right.

The blond-haired leader really did have someone backing him. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have dared abduct women in broad daylight—and after doing so, he wouldn’t have been so leisurely about fleeing. Clearly, he had connections he could rely on.

“Brothers, who’s going first?”

The others immediately fawned over the blond-haired leader.

“Boss, you take the pretty one first. We’ll take care of the other one.”

At those words, the last trace of color drained from Wen Jiaojiao and Wu Qin’s faces.

Wu Qin screamed in terror.

“Don’t come any closer!”

Her scream faintly reached Jiang Ting’s ears.

The two men immediately became alert. They had finally found the exact direction.

They accelerated toward the shack at full speed.

“Get away from her!”

Wen Jiaojiao was forced to the ground. Several hands simultaneously grabbed at her clothes, tearing the fabric apart.

At that very moment, the broken wooden door was kicked open with tremendous force.

The man pressing her down was sent flying with a single kick.

Then she saw a handsome, cold, and imposing face.

Tears involuntarily slipped from the corners of her eyes as she desperately covered her body with the torn remnants of her clothes.

Thank goodness.

They had arrived.

The moment Wu Qin realized they had been rescued, she crawled toward Wen Jiaojiao on her hands and knees.

Her own clothes were only slightly damaged. When a woman faced a threat to her chastity, the strength she could unleash was unimaginable.

Screams of agony rang out from inside the broken shack.

These thugs had been able to overpower Zhang Shaoying through sheer numbers because she had little combat experience. But against Jiang Ting and Zhang Shaobing, they were completely outmatched.

All eight thugs suffered two or three broken ribs.

As for the blond-haired man who had approached Wen Jiaojiao, not only were all the ribs on his upper body broken, but his manhood was also completely ruined.

A vicious fury churned in Jiang Ting’s eyes.

The murderous aura radiating from him alone was enough to terrify them into submission, leaving them with no courage to resist.
