Chapter 13.1: A Guide to the Named Characters
【Coffey Dreadroll】
Brendan’s aunt. Twenty-three years old.
A dependable, big-sister type who takes good care of others.
She’s powerful enough to receive requests to exterminate bad dragons.
No one asks her to exterminate good dragons.
A saint who pays Brendan’s tuition.
She’s ordinarily so busy that she’s rarely home, but she returns every weekend and always listens to Brendan’s stories.
【Mercedes Meltzeria】
Specialty: magical biomechanics.
Magical coefficient during the exam: 980 points.
A master of the Hinoe Single-Sword Style and daughter of the Meltzeria family.
She swallowed her pride and asked Brendan extremely politely to forge her a holy sword, but he refused.
Later, she discovered he’d happily forged one for another woman and lost her temper.
【Amae Vandenberg】
Specialty: magical pharmacology.
Magical coefficient: 505 points.
She always looks sleepy but never sleeps in front of other people.
Among the girls, she’s the closest to Brendan.
She dislikes troublesome things, but generally tries to maintain order and often takes care of others.
The shortest student in the Emperor Faculty.
She can fly if she wants to.
【Gerald Whitesmith】
Specialty: magical physics.
A tall blond man who uses flight and gravity magic.
He uses an exceptionally grandiose form of “I” when referring to himself.
He’ll lend you a pen if you ask.
His parent is extremely important.
Wildly popular.
【Gary Rock】
Specialty: magical electrical engineering.
Magical coefficient: 780 points.
A lightning mage and rugged, handsome man with dark skin.
His language is rough, but he can be reasoned with.
Kind at heart.
His family runs a trading company.
Wildly popular.
【Luluk Lulu Lunlun】
Specialty: magical thermodynamics.
Magical coefficient during the exam: 785 points.
A descendant of a bloodline known as witches, which has existed in the Kingdom of Griefia since ancient times.
She claims to sleep twelve hours a day, but actually sleeps more than twelve hours and even sleeps during class.
Only when engrossed in research does she stop sleeping entirely.
【Filiestra Addison】
Specialty: magical medicine.
She holds a medical license.
For some reason, she’s the only person who can use Brendan’s magic swords.
Magical coefficient: 325 points.
She believes she’s poor at combat, but most enemies struck by her paralysis spell either fall unconscious or enter a condition resembling a severe hangover.
Achieved first place in the written examination by an overwhelming margin.
【Lovelina Blanchard】
Brendan and the others’ homeroom teacher.
A former student she supervised became a criminal, and she feels responsible.
【Yuriha Hinamori】
Twenty-seven years old.
【Elfin Jare】
Magias’s Yankumi.
As a student, she was one year older than Coffey but in the same class.
【Van Walker】
Brendan’s grandfather. Deceased.
The person responsible for summoning Brendan to this world as an artificial human.
He was an important mage long ago.
On his deathbed, he gathered together and confessed all the things he’d forgotten to mention.
【Brendan Walker】
The Great Demon Lord of Lewdness.
