“He’s really drunk?”

Li Miao was both surprised and amused. Tentatively, he tugged at the corner of Shen Yu’s clothes.

Shen Yu lowered his head and stared blankly at it, saying nothing.Full novel: A Crook of the Unhinged Cannon Fodder’s Finger Turns the Gloomy Villain Into an Obedient Hound — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The smile in Li Miao’s eyes deepened. He led Shen Yu upstairs.

When drunk, Shen Yu was unbelievably well-behaved. Wherever Li Miao took him, he went. When Li Miao handed him the hairdryer, Shen Yu obediently took it and, with a serious expression, dried Li Miao’s hair bit by bit.

Li Miao’s pajamas had a V-shaped collar. He was thin and liked loose clothes. What he didn’t know was that while he sat in the chair with his head down, playing on his phone, Shen Yu stood behind him. With only a slight lowering of his gaze, he could follow the collar and catch a glimpse of a tempting sight.

Pink.

Shen Yu jerked his eyes away as if electrocuted and stopped looking around.

When the hairdryer stopped, Li Miao looked up. Shen Yu was standing behind him, looking like he wanted to say something but didn’t know how.

“What’s wrong?” Li Miao asked.

Shen Yu reached into his pocket, held out his hand in front of Li Miao, and opened it. Lying in his palm was a tube of medicinal ointment.

Li Miao froze.

Shen Yu said nothing. He crouched down in front of Li Miao and gently turned his hand over.

A scratch on the back of his hand was glaringly obvious.

The scratch wasn’t deep, but Li Miao had fair skin, and he was delicate and spoiled. The area around the scratch was swollen and red, making it look frightening.

It had been scraped during the day when he hit Li Cheng.

A few beads of blood had come out. He hadn’t paid it any attention, just shaken his hand and put it out of mind. He didn’t know when Shen Yu had noticed it.

Shen Yu unscrewed the ointment, squeezed out a little, and gently applied it to Li Miao’s hand. Then he took a roll of gauze from his pocket and wrapped it around it a few times.

Shen Yu was crouched in front of him with his head down. From Li Miao’s angle, he could only see the crown of his head, and in the shadow of his face, a high nose bridge and thin lips.

『The villain is actually pretty cute when he’s drunk.』

After Shen Yu left, the system popped up.

『Drunk?』 Li Miao flipped his hand over to admire the gauze. The person who had bandaged him was skilled. Li Miao smiled faintly. 『He wasn’t drunk at all.』

『Huh?』 The system was stunned. 『He wasn’t drunk?』

Li Miao let out a soft laugh and pushed open the bathroom door.

When Shen Yu had taken the hairdryer earlier, his eyes hadn’t been idle. Besides, before he left, Shen Yu had come into the bathroom to wash his hands…

What was he looking for?

Li Miao’s gaze landed on the body wash in the corner. His smile widened gradually, and he called for the butler. “Have the doctor come see me. I have something to ask.”

In the villa district, Shen Yu walked along the road with steady steps and clear eyes.

He casually tossed the remaining half-tube of ointment and the gauze into the trash can. Then he pulled two test tubes from his pocket, each containing half a tube of liquid.

He already had body wash and laundry detergent. He refused to believe he couldn’t recreate it.

And that Li Miao… Shen Yu ground his teeth. How dare he pat his head and call him good doggy?

One day… one day!!

He would lock him up! Lock him in a room with no light at all! Make him wish for death but be unable to die! Make him spend the rest of his life regretting his current choice!!!

“So… is it possible that he’s developed a dependence on my scent?” In the villa, Li Miao said thoughtfully.

The doctor nodded. “That’s right.”

Li Miao stroked his chin. “Interesting…”

The butler stood at the bedroom door, knocked twice, pointed at his phone, and said softly, “Second Young Master, the Master.”

Li Miao frowned, waved the doctor out, picked up the phone, and waited for the other side to speak.

“Li Cheng’s family came to see me today,” Li Shun’an said.

Sang Yunhua was sitting beside him, gently stroking his back now and then, her gaze urging him to calm down. Only then did Li Shun’an barely suppress his anger.

“Oh.” Li Miao turned on speakerphone and casually set the phone on the bedside table.

Li Shun’an was filled with frustration and disappointment.

After their last unpleasant parting, he had thought for a long time. Indeed, they had wronged Li Miao first. He had even been thinking about whether he should give Li Miao some money as compensation, when Li Miao turned around and caused a huge mess.

In an instant, all guilt and thoughts of compensation were cast aside. Only anger remained in Li Shun’an’s heart.

Just because they had spent so little time with him, did he have to take revenge like this?

“If you have any complaints, you can tell us. What kind of skill is it to bully other people? That’s my own younger brother’s son! Are you taking revenge on me?”

“My younger brother’s son…” Li Miao repeated the words under his breath and smiled, then turned on the recording.

The audio that had been played in the dean’s office during the day rang out again.

It had already looped five times, yet the person on the other end was still silent. In the end, Li Miao reached out and pressed pause.

“Li Cheng is your younger brother’s son, so what am I?” Li Miao’s voice was calm, though a faint trace of mockery curved his lips.

I am your own son.

Li Shun’an had never expected this to be involved. When Li Cheng arrived, he had flung himself onto his leg and started crying, tears and snot streaming down his face, saying Li Miao had beaten him like this, without mentioning a single word about what he himself had said.

Li Shun’an pinched the bridge of his nose and was just about to apologize when, the next second, his eyes went blank and his words changed direction. “Even if that’s the case, I’m your father. Do you want to hate me?”

“You and Li Cheng are both at fault in this matter. Let’s do this: I won’t interfere anymore. Handle it yourself.”

His answer was the beep of Li Miao hanging up.

“Shun’an!” Sang Yunhua looked at Li Shun’an in surprise. “How can you say that? Little Miao did nothing wrong in this!”

Li Shun’an rubbed his forehead tiredly. “Right… why did I say that…”

He had clearly intended to apologize. So why did his words change at the last second?

“Forget it. I’ll have my special assistant go find Little Miao. Whatever compensation he wants, just give it to him.”

The next day.

After crying to his uncle and getting a promise that his uncle would give Li Miao a harsh lesson, Li Cheng returned to school.

His left eye was badly bruised, and with his round face, he practically could cosplay a panda. Everyone along the way struggled to hold back their laughter.

“Li Miao is definitely in trouble this time! Uncle said he’ll teach him a good lesson!” During break, Li Cheng walked with a few of his buddies.

“So are you still going to keep targeting Li Miao?”

“…We’ll see,” Li Cheng said stubbornly.

He did not want anything to do with that lunatic again! He would rather go back to how things were before, with Li Miao looking down on him and treating him like air.

Jiang Luo walked behind them holding a cup. Hearing Li Cheng’s retreat, he hesitated for a moment, then raised his voice. “Student Li Cheng.”

Li Cheng frowned and turned around impatiently. “Who?”

The moment his gaze landed on Jiang Luo, Li Cheng’s eyes turned contemptuous… just a mere special admittee… The next second, his expression flickered and became patient. “What’s wrong, Student Jiang Luo?”

So handsome, Student Jiang Luo.

He would go through fire and water for him.

“Are the injuries on your face okay?” Jiang Luo asked with a worried look.

Li Cheng touched his face and said indifferently, “It doesn’t hurt!”

“That’s good,” Jiang Luo said, curving his lips and revealing a pair of dimples. “Student Li Miao was really too much!”

“Exactly!”

“Actually, I’ve run into people like this before…” Jiang Luo said hesitantly. “To deal with someone like that, you have to meet force with force. Only by making him understand that you’re not easy to bully will he stop bullying you.”

Li Cheng frowned. “But…”

Jiang Luo quickly went on. “Isn’t Li Miao especially afraid of his father? Now that you have your uncle backing you up, you should be even tougher! If you give up now, wouldn’t that be playing right into his hands? He’ll think that all he has to do is beat you once, and you’ll submit.”
