“Yes, I still came to find you.” Sparkle stood straight, refusing to appear weak.
The man curled his lips, his smile wickedly charming: “So, how do you plan to beg me?”
“Chrono, that’s Aiden’s company.
You’re his best friend, are you really going to watch it go bankrupt?”
“Why not?”
“What will it take for you to help?”
“Will you do anything?”
“Yes.”
Chrono stood up: “Come with me.”
Sparkle didn’t hesitate for a second and followed him to the bar.
The room was already packed.
When they entered, everyone started to cheer.
“Chrono, you finally brought a beautiful woman, your iron heart has bloomed!”
Chrono sat down like a king, looking at Sparkle indifferently: “Drink with them until they’re happy.”
“Then you’ll help me?”
“If you perform well.”
“Okay.” Sparkle sat down and boldly grabbed a bottle, “Come on, who’s drinking with me.”
“Wow, this girl is fiery, I like her, come on, drink!”
No matter who it was, Sparkle drank whenever someone toasted her.
The glass was emptied and refilled repetitively; she couldn’t remember how much she drank, only that she kept emptying the full glasses.
“Chrono, who is this girl?
I like her, can I have her?”
Chrono mockingly curled his lips: “Do what you want.”
He wondered if Aiden would still treasure Sparkle, keeping her in his heart after seeing her so disgraced?
With permission, the person eagerly pulled Sparkle up, half dragging her away.
After only a few steps, a tall, cold man blocked the way, and he, slightly impatient, said: “Don’t block the way!”
Evan Saint’s eyes flashed a cold light: “Give her to me!”
“So, you have your eyes on her too?
Don’t worry, once I’m done…”
Before the words finished, an iron fist brutally smashed his nose.
Evan Saint calmly retracted his hand, picked up the drunken Sparkle, his brows tightly furrowed, his face ice-cold.
“President…” The secretary softly called in fear, never having seen the president this terrifying before.
“Touch her, and there will be a price.
I hope it satisfies me.” After speaking, he carried Sparkle away.
She would rather beg someone else, be forced to do what she hates, than ask him…
“Sparkle, is it so hard to just ask me?”
Only a murmur from the person in his arms responded: “Aiden, I feel terrible…”
Hearing that name, Evan Saint’s tenderness vanished immediately: “Then go die!”
Sparkle instinctively shivered, burrowing deeper into his embrace: “Aiden, I accidentally messed up the company, why aren’t you back to clean up the mess?”
His steps halted, Evan Saint coldly looked at the person in his arms, his voice as chilling as if from the underworld: “Sparkle, if you dare call his name again, I’ll let you down!”
“Aiden, I think I hear that big block of ice, Evan Saint, so annoying…”
“Bang!” Evan Saint let go, and Sparkle fell straight to the ground, screaming in pain.
“It hurts, it hurts so much…”
“President…” The secretary wiped his sweat.
The president actually let go; that sound just listening to it hurt!
Evan Saint ignored him, striding away.
Lying on the cold ground, Sparkle curled up, repeatedly murmuring about the pain.
