In high school, there were always a few guys who loved to spread this kind of stuff. Even more so in this situation, the meaning of that line was clear: Pei Mingjing had never been in a relationship, but Zhao Ci was sure he would understand. Once he had said it, the plot was complete.

Zhao Ci’s face flushed deeply. From start to finish, he didn’t dare look at Pei Mingjing’s expression. He didn’t even take his books, just picked up his empty backpack and tried to leave, but suddenly his arm was grabbed.

Zhao Ci froze, hearing Pei Mingjing’s cold voice, “What’s the matter?”Full novel: A Handsome Man Belongs in a Battlefield — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Clutching his backpack, Zhao Ci felt a surge of fear rise within him.

“Turn your head!”

Zhao Ci didn’t move. Pei Mingjing had never hit him, and as far as he remembered, he’d never hit anyone. But with how he kept courting disaster, Zhao Ci was really afraid that if he turned his head, he’d get punched.

He wanted to call out “Brother Mingjing,” but his throat was too tight with fear to make a sound. Just then, Pei Mingjing stood up and walked over to him.

Pei Mingjing had always been taller and more imposing. During the college entrance exam physical, he was 1.89 meters tall.

Zhao Ci was only 1.73 meters.

Zhao Ci felt overshadowed, to the point where he had to look up, meeting Pei Mingjing’s clear and sharp gaze directly.

A chill ran down Zhao Ci’s spine, and his lips trembled slightly, but before he could speak…

Pei Mingjing asked, “Where are you going?”

“…Huh?” Zhao Ci belatedly realized, glancing at the backpack in his hand. His face reddened again, even the corners of his eyes, where the redness had only just faded, flushed anew.

Pei Mingjing watched him with cool indifference, and to think he had believed earlier that Zhao Ci was about to cry.

At such a young age, who knew where he had picked up all this nonsense and filthy language!

Zhao Ci couldn’t withstand his gaze, lowered his head, and said in a trembling voice, “…I’m hungry, I want to go home for dinner…”

“Go home for dinner?” Pei Mingjing took off his glasses, tossed them on the table, and started unbuttoning his cuffs, saying coldly, “Weren’t you going to show me the water?”

“…”

“?”

What??

Zhao Ci’s cheeks and ears flushed rapidly, overwhelmed with embarrassment.

What, Brother Mingjing, what are you talking about?

“Brother Mingjing…”

He wondered if there was something wrong with his ears.

“Now, show me.” Pei Mingjing snatched the backpack from his hand and tossed it onto a chair.

Zhao Ci’s cheeks were burning, so embarrassed he didn’t know what to say, only managing to stammer out “Brother Mingjing.”

“What,” Pei Mingjing said with a sneer when he saw Zhao Ci still not moving, “do you want me to help you take your clothes off? I can.” He reached out his hand.

Zhao Ci was startled, realizing Pei Mingjing was serious. He quickly tried to stop him. “Brother Mingjing, Brother Mingjing, don’t…” The next second, his wrist was grabbed by Pei Mingjing, along with the other hand he used to try to stop him.

Pei Mingjing easily held both of Zhao Ci’s wrists with one hand, lifting them above Zhao Ci’s head. A nudge of his knee sent Zhao Ci stumbling back onto the desk.

“Brother Mingjing!”

Pei Mingjing seemed not to hear, using his free hand to undo Zhao Ci’s jeans button.

“Brother Mingjing, no.” Zhao Ci couldn’t struggle, and when the zipper was pulled down, he finally burst into frightened sobs.

Pei Mingjing stopped but didn’t let go, looking at him with a detached gaze.

“Brother Mingjing, I’m sorry,” Zhao Ci sobbed in terror, admitting his mistake. Seeing that Pei Mingjing still had no intention of letting go, his tears flowed even harder. “Brother Mingjing…”

Pei Mingjing didn’t feel good about it either, but he kept a cold face, watching Zhao Ci cry for at least a minute before asking, “Will you still dare to mess around in the future?”

“…” Zhao Ci didn’t answer, just continued crying pitifully. “Brother Mingjing…”

Zhao Ci’s eyelids were red from crying. He had always had a lovable, pretty face, and his sister Zhao Jia often said he had the look of a pure, innocent little white flower. No one could bear to be angry at such a face.

From childhood to now, Pei Mingjing had never been angry with his beautiful and sweet-natured younger brother, but today Zhao Ci had gone too far.

Pei Mingjing took Zhao Ci’s silence as agreement, feeling heavy-hearted as he pulled him up and took a few tissues to wipe his tears for him.

Under Zhao Ci’s left eyelid and on the tip of his nose were small moles, and at this moment, the skin around both spots was red, making him look even more pitiful.

Pei Mingjing felt both angry and guilty, gently touching the mole under Zhao Ci’s eyelid. “Are you scared now?”

Zhao Ci sniffled and nodded.

“Alright, stop crying,” Pei Mingjing comforted him. “I was only trying to scare you just now.”

Once Zhao Ci’s emotions had calmed down a bit, Pei Mingjing went downstairs to the kitchen, poured a glass of ice water, and paused before heading back up. He rummaged through the fridge and found an ice cream bar, something Zhao Ci had bought for him earlier in the month.

He took it out and went back upstairs.

When Zhao Ci saw him return, his eyes, still glistening from tears, avoided his gaze. He sat upright, clearly still a bit afraid of him.

Pei Mingjing tried to soften his usual expression, waiting until Zhao Ci had finished taking small sips of water before handing him the ice cream.

Zhao Ci ate a few bites before stopping.

“Don’t want it anymore?” Pei Mingjing noticed and asked.

Zhao Ci nodded slightly and said softly, “It’s too sweet…”

“Give it to me then.” Pei Mingjing took the ice cream from his hand, deliberately easing the tension by eating from the spot Zhao Ci had bitten.

Zhao Ci’s eyelashes fluttered at this, but he didn’t think too much of it.

Pei Mingjing acted nonchalant. “Where’s your phone?”

Zhao Ci patted his jacket pocket. “I left it at home. I forgot to bring it.”

“Then let’s go to your place.” Pei Mingjing switched the ice cream to his other hand and used the free one to help Zhao Ci pack his backpack.

Once in Zhao Ci’s bedroom, Pei Mingjing sat at Zhao Ci’s desk, instructing him to bring over his iPad, laptop, and phone while he turned on the desktop computer.

Zhao Ci didn’t know what Brother Mingjing intended to do, so he obediently brought everything over and stood quietly to the side, not daring to ask.

Pei Mingjing opened all the browsers and folders, seemingly not finding what he was looking for, then moved on to Zhao Ci’s laptop and iPad. When he saw a few gay-themed movies stored in the cloud, he gave Zhao Ci a meaningful look.

Zhao Ci’s face turned red immediately. He had only downloaded them the day before yesterday, curious because this world turned out to be a BL novel, and Brother Mingjing and the others were the lead tops, while he was cannon fodder and had to follow the plot.

He was curious, so he downloaded these movies to understand more.

“I haven’t had a chance to watch them yet…” Zhao Ci said weakly.

“Delete them.” Pei Mingjing wasn’t asking. He just deleted all the movies.

Besides those movies, Pei Mingjing also found videos of men flirting with each other in Zhao Ci’s Kuaiyin browsing history.

Zhao Ci explained that he had searched for gay content, and then the platform kept recommending these videos to him.

Pei Mingjing blocked everything, finding nothing else. He put down the phone and looked at Zhao Ci, saying, “Xiaoci, don’t think joining a minority group is something amazing. If you truly belong to it, I won’t say anything; on the contrary, I’ll respect you. But it’s clear you’re doing this for fun, and you should understand by now how harmful this behavior is. You’re 18 now, an adult. I hope you’ll think carefully before doing anything in the future, and consider whether you can bear the consequences.”

Zhao Ci blushed to the ears at the reprimand, even though Brother Mingjing was the same age as him, only four months older.

And he understood the reasoning, but he wasn’t doing those things willingly.

According to the system, the bad things were just beginning. Zhao Ci pursed his lips, feeling sad, and said softly and obediently, “I understand.”!
