Unlocked plantable soil.

[Territory upgrading…]

The ground beneath her feet began to tremble slightly, a white protective barrier spread outward, and in an instant, the area expanded from 10 square meters to 500 square meters. The surrounding walls rose from the ground, enclosing the territory.Full novel: A life-focused player, yet with explosive combat strength — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The walls were made of wood and ore, about two meters high, blocking outside sight and the environment.

Yan Yiqiu stood in the noticeably much larger territory, listening to the constant notification sounds by her ear.

[Territory upgraded to Level 1, area expanded to 100 sqm, unlocked Territory Shop.][Territory upgraded to Level 2, area expanded to 500 sqm!][Territory upgraded to Level 3, area expanded to 1,000 sqm.][Territory upgraded to Level 4, area expanded to 5,000 sqm, unlocked 10 plantable soil plots.][Territory upgraded to Level 5, area expanded to 10,000 sqm, added 40 plantable soil plots, unlocked Territory Warehouse (30 slots).]

Behind her, fifty pieces of visibly fertile black soil appeared.

Yan Yiqiu ignored everything else and first took out sugarcane seeds and cotton seeds, planting 20 plots each. Of the remaining ten plots, she planted four for wheat, three for watermelon, and the remaining three for wild peaches, apples, and lychee.

Next, she opened the Territory Shop to see what items were available:

[Territory Shop: Stone Bricks x100 (100 silver), Cement x500 (100 silver), Sugar x50 (100 silver), Flour x30 (30 silver), Seasonings x15 (500 copper), Needle & Thread x10 (300 copper), Plain Noodles x10 (1 silver), Eggs x100 (1 silver), Rice x10 (10 silver), Fabric x20 (200 silver), Drinking Water 500ml x10 (10 silver)]

[Stamina Potion x10 (20 silver), Energy Potion x10 (20 silver), Health Pill (White) x10 (50 silver)]

These were all daily limited items.

[Blueprint: Small Western-Style House x1 (10 gold), Blueprint: Loom x1 (10 gold), Iron Smelting Equipment x1 (500 gold)]

These could only be purchased once.

The Level 5 Territory Shop had far more items than Level 1. Yan Yiqiu had enough funds and bought everything in one go.

[Personal Wealth: 757 gold, 602 silver, 452 copper.]

Fortunately, she inherited the Goblin Treasury; otherwise, she wouldn’t have had enough money. Thanks again to the Goblin’s friendly assistance!

Yan Yiqiu studied the blueprints and temporarily set them aside. In the territory, besides the plantable soil, only a lone warehouse remained.

Not really “lone”—beside the warehouse, she placed the iron smelting equipment she had just bought from the shop.

Arranging the territory could wait; first, she needed to prepare items for the second dungeon.

She vaguely remembered that the second dungeon was an island.

All players would be dropped onto different small deserted islands. The islands were tiny, with nothing but trees. After entering, the system provided a dungeon map. Players had to find a way across the ocean to reach the location marked in green on the map.

Yan Yiqiu had almost been killed by this dungeon before.

Being on a deserted island, surrounded by the sea, and given nothing but the map, she had to cut wood to make a simple plank boat. Even worse, sea creatures caused high damage; one charge from a wild boar could destroy the fragile boat she had spent an entire morning constructing.

Luckily, her starting location was close to the target, so she paddled on the planks for two hours and barely reached the shore within the time limit.

So, first—

She needed to make a wooden boat sturdy enough not to fall apart easily.

Yan Yiqiu pulled out her carpentry tools, sat on the ground, and began shaping the wood to build the boat.

With a Level 5 territory, her stamina and energy recovered 45 points per hour, so she didn’t have to worry about running out.

The boat didn’t need to be big—six meters long, two meters wide, with a small cabin for shelter. Weather at sea was unpredictable; it could be sunny one moment and pouring rain the next.

She also needed a blanket—it would get cold in rain and wind.

And plenty of food, since she couldn’t cook onboard.

Energy and stamina potions were also necessary. The island had rich mineral resources, making high-level ores easy to obtain.

After nearly five hours of hard work, Master Yan successfully completed a very sturdy wooden boat. She added a foot pedal at the bow, installed four solid wooden paddles under the hull, and set up a mast and sail at the stern.

[Acquired Pedal-Operated Wooden Sailboat x1, Carpentry XP +1000.][Congratulations! Carpentry Level Up to 3, obtained 3 blueprints.]

Yan Yiqiu exhaled and glanced at the dungeon countdown—18 hours remaining.

She continued sewing blankets, using fabric and cotton, then prepared various food and potions.

[Next dungeon countdown: 13:23:19.]

Yan Yiqiu looked through her inventory. Satisfied, she crawled into the small cabin on the boat, covering herself with the blanket. Within two seconds, soft snores came from inside the cabin.

She hadn’t properly rested in ten days and had been working overtime preparing for the next dungeon.

This exhaustion was mental, not physical.

Meanwhile, other players were still complaining in the chat about the massive material requirements to upgrade their territories.

[To reach Level 2 territory, you need 1,000 wood… and 200 Level 1 ores? Where am I supposed to get those ores?!][I mined for four days in the last dungeon and just got 1,000 pieces! But Level 4 requires 8,000 wood, 2,000 Level 1 ores, and 200 Level 2 ores?! I only have 20 Level 2 ores!][You’re already Level 3? Wow, I just reached Level 2…][Looks like for the next two dungeons, I’ll need to mine a ton of ores. I have a feeling higher levels require more and more!][Can I really reach Level 5 territory in a month? I’m only Level 1…][Exchange ores for potions! All kinds of potions!][Upgrading the territory requires materials and money. I only have 300 silver in my bag; can’t buy anything in the shop!][Stupid game! Die!]

The chat was filled with complaints, curses, resource trades, and players looking for allies.

Being alone in an empty territory was boring. Only chatting with others relieved some fear and loneliness.

After sleeping soundly, Yan Yiqiu woke up with 2.5 hours left until the dungeon started. She slowly got up and rinsed her mouth with drinking water from her bag.

A Level 6 territory would have a well.

She checked the chat, scrolling through the fast-moving messages, and sent a message:

[The dungeon is about to start. Are you all ready?]

The first dungeon had provided nothing; this time, they could prepare.

[Ready! I grabbed 20 portions of braised pork, plus stamina and energy potions. This time, I’ll reclaim everything that belongs to me!][Damn, your speed is crazy! I didn’t get anything!][Can you spare some for me…][I hope the second dungeon isn’t too dangerous. Life players are too weak in combat.][Yes, life players are crying. Any teams willing to shelter me? I’m an alchemist—I can craft potions once I level up.]

Yan Yiqiu was about to close the channel when a private message flashed.

[Lin Siyuan: Beauty Yiqiu, want to team up for the next dungeon? We provide protection and ingredients; you just make the food. As usual, you take as many materials as you use. How about it?]

The conditions were already great for a life player.

But Yan Yiqiu wasn’t ordinary. Her combat power surpassed even Lin Siyuan’s entire team.

Still, refusing constantly would look bad. Thinking about the second dungeon, she replied:

“Sure, if we start nearby, we can keep each other company.”

[Lin Siyuan: Great. Also, do you have extra food? Preferably attribute-boosting. I have some leftover wood and ore, or money.]

Yan Yiqiu checked her bag: she had Small Crispy Meat (White), Braised Fish (White), and Pork Rib Soup (White), with exchange rates: 500 wood per portion, 200 ore per portion.

Pork Rib Soup (White) restored 8 HP per second for 1 minute.

[Lin Siyuan: Give me two portions of each, and five portions of the pork rib soup.]

Yan Yiqiu agreed. They exchanged what they needed and closed the chat, satisfied.

She kept 20 of each fruit, stored the rest in her space. Wood stayed in the bag, ores went to the warehouse, and the mechanical minecart had to be brought along.

Ah—she forgot to list the Goblin’s Great Club and gloves in the shop. She would do that after the next dungeon, leaving them in space for now.

After organizing her bag, Yan Yiqiu calmly awaited the dungeon start.

Countdown: 30 minutes… 15 minutes… 1 minute… 3, 2, 1…

[Dungeon start.][Player teleporting——]

The familiar dizzying sensation returned.
