By now, the sky had completely darkened. After searching through her entire space, Su Niyue couldn’t find a single outfit suitable for this world. It seemed her stockpile wasn’t comprehensive enough. Fortunately, the original host had a tall figure—just very thin. The men’s clothes in the wardrobe could barely fit. Ancient clothing, however, was difficult to put on. After struggling for quite a while and breaking into a sweat, she finally managed to get dressed.

Dressed in a slightly oversized black outfit, Su Niyue climbed out through the window. She released the sea eagle from her space and whispered, “Xiaobao, hide well. Only come out when I call you.” Xiaobao opened its beak slightly and then flew off. She herself melted into the darkness.

The War King’s residence was vast, filled with courtyards, pavilions, and towers, but she had no time to admire it. After roughly determining the direction—despite being skilled in medicine, combat, and many other abilities, she had one fatal flaw: she couldn’t tell directions. Fortunately, her newly awakened earth-type ability gave her a clear sense of the ground. She quickly located the treasury of the residence, guarded by two soldiers.Full novel: A Money-Grubbing Princess Consort Who Plucks Even the Feathers Off a Passing Goose—How About That? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She tried to burrow underground, but it didn’t quite work yet. So she relied on her specialty—climbing. Silently, she scaled the side wall, slipped through a ventilation window, and entered the warehouse.

She took out a mini flashlight from her space. The light wasn’t strong, but it was enough.

Her hands trembled slightly. Compared to the supplies she had stockpiled in modern times—medical supplies, food, frozen meat, grains, condiments, snacks, fruits, seeds—these things in front of her were entirely different: gold, silver, silk, antiques, jade, paintings, and calligraphy. These could all be turned into wealth.

With a thought, rows of shelves vanished from the warehouse. In the blink of an eye, the entire place was empty. Turning around, she noticed a small side door. Inside were stores of grain. She collected everything into her space, retraced her steps, and headed straight to the stables in the backyard. More than a dozen horses and two carriages—all taken.

She had planned to check other courtyards, but at this hour, the War King’s household should already be in chaos. What she didn’t know was that Ruan Mingyu had not informed everyone—fearing there might be spies planted by the emperor. If they openly packed their belongings now and the emperor found out, her son might never return.

First, she decided to visit the original host’s home and settle some scores with that scumbag father. Guided by her ability, she quickly exited through the back gate of the War King’s residence. The Prime Minister’s mansion was only two streets away. She had considered riding her electric scooter from the space but worried about being seen. After all, this was the capital—there was no curfew, and people still walked the streets at night. So she went on foot.

Upon reaching the Prime Minister’s residence, she headed straight for the treasury. It was even larger than the War King’s. Without hesitation, she took everything.

Then she sneaked into the courtyard of that disgusting legal mother and easily found her private treasury. At a glance, she spotted more than twenty dowry chests belonging to the original host’s mother, along with the betrothal gifts from the War King’s residence. Instantly, a surge of anger shot to her head—she felt utterly exploited.

After clearing out the treasury, she quietly slipped into the bedroom. She sprinkled a bit of white powder into the bed curtains—a drug she had developed that could instantly render a person unconscious. After taking all the valuables, she sprinkled another powder on the old hag’s face—one that would cause painful rashes. Still not satisfied, she even snipped off some of her hair before leaving. If she had more time, she could have done even more.

Passing by the study, her ability sensed something unusual—there seemed to be a hidden chamber. Knowing how greedy her scumbag father was, and that the study was a restricted area, she was certain there must be something valuable inside.

In her previous life as a top agent, finding secret rooms was basic skill. Just like in period dramas—twist a vase, and the hidden door opened.

The moment she entered, she knew she’d struck gold.

A space of nearly sixty square meters, filled with dozens of neatly stacked chests. The top ones were open: ten chests of gold, twenty of silver, ten of jewelry and jade, and ten of antiques and paintings. Though she wasn’t particularly fond of calligraphy or paintings, since they could be sold, she took everything.

Leaving the study, she went straight to the kitchen. Aside from the stove, nothing was left. Behind it was a small storage room with fresh ingredients—including live chickens, ducks, and geese bought that very morning. She took them all, leaving only a few stray feathers behind.

She also cleared out several concubines’ quarters and the rooms of legitimate sons and daughters before leaving. Unfortunately, her scumbag father wasn’t there—otherwise, she would’ve given him a proper lesson.

After leaving the Prime Minister’s residence, she headed straight for the imperial palace. She swept through the harem, then the emperor’s private treasury, the imperial kitchen, the clothing bureau, the imperial medical institute, and finally the national treasury. The emperor’s treasury didn’t even hold as much silver as the Prime Minister’s—but even mosquito legs were still meat. She absolutely wouldn’t betray her money-loving nature.

Before leaving, she even took the chance to get a little revenge on that damned emperor.

Eastern Palace.

Standing in the Crown Prince’s treasury, she muttered to herself, “Does that dog Crown Prince’s father even know how rich you are?”

Not to mention anything else—just the sandalwood, huanghuali, zitan, and nanmu furniture and ornaments filled an entire warehouse. The craftsmanship and quality were extraordinary. Everyone in court knew the Crown Prince loved such things, but no one dared openly gift them. Even when he received them, he didn’t dare use them for fear the emperor would suspect him of forming alliances—so they were all stored away.

Which now benefited Su Niyue.

“Alright, I’ll gladly accept all of this! Hehe, when I build a big house in the future, I won’t need to buy furniture!”

Just like that, following the plot of the novel, she “visited” every corrupt official’s residence in the capital. Though she was exhausted, seeing the mountains of gold and treasures piling up in her space made her face flush with excitement. After drinking some spirit spring water to recover, she could feel her abilities growing stronger—but she still couldn’t stop.

After finishing her sweep, the streets were already filling with people and vendors. Su Niyue headed to the market to prepare food for the journey into exile—and for the various disasters to come. Lingnan would even have extreme cold.

Since her space could preserve everything, she bought dozens of baskets of buns and steamed bread, along with water pouches.

Turning into an empty alley, she entered her space again. Using the supplies she had just acquired, she picked out a high-quality set of women’s clothing, along with gold hairpins and jeweled ornaments. After dressing up, she had completely transformed into a richly adorned noblewoman.

Exiting the space, she went to a clothing shop. The shop assistant had just opened for the day.

“Good morning, Madam!”

“I want all the ready-made clothes in your shop,” Su Niyue said without wasting time.

“Madam, we have dozens of outfits…” The assistant hesitated, worried she might not be able to afford it all.

“Only dozens? Do you have a warehouse?”

“Yes… Madam thinks it’s too little?”

“Too little. I also want cotton clothing and bedding. Do you have those?”

“Yes, yes! Please wait, Madam—I’ll call the shopkeeper to take you to the warehouse!”

“Alright.”

Soon, a middle-aged man hurried over. “My apologies, Madam, for keeping you waiting!”

“Let’s go. Take me to the warehouse. I still have other things to purchase. If I’m late, I won’t be able to answer to my employer.”
