“Boss got new orders for us about the chico.”
Jemma could hear a man's voice. She was currently inside a windowless room. A week had passed since she was betrayed by her partner, Randall Ross, and was taken to a slaughterhouse owned by the Dragon's Head group. If not for her special identity as a highly decorated detective, she would have undoubtedly been killed that day Randall blew her Uncle's brain across the car's front seat. Ever since then, she had been beaten, spat on, and starved.
At first, she had hoped the NHPD would rescue her, but after a week, she had given up hope, especially when she heard that the Chief Of Police had already declared her dead. She didn't doubt Carlos also got the police chief in his pocket.
Jemma went to the door, leaned a bit to listen to their conversation.
“What orders does the Boss have?”
“The boss says it's time for the chico to leave, but we must make sure she's found in a public place, naked.”
Jemma's heart sped up in panic, but she quickly calmed down.
There was no form of weapon inside the room, but she knew she had to do something else she might actually die in a horrible way. She could still hear the men's discussion but she wasn't interested as her mind was working faster than a super computer to draft up an escape plan.. that was until one piece of information caught her attention.
“Heard the latest news yet?” The man continued.
“You talking about the wipe out in Belmont City?” The other man replied.
“Exactly, sixty members were wiped out by the Belmont gangs.” The man said excitedly, not because he was happy with the death of his fellow group members, but because he could sense juicy gossip.
“You got it all wrong. It wasn't the Belmont gangs. It was just one man.” The other man replied with a bit of sneer in his tone.
This sentence made Jemma halt her escape plan.
“One man? I'd say it's impossible, but everyone knows your sources are always legit.. so, who was it?” The excited man said.
“Although this isn't supposed to be known by members of lower level, but I'll tell you anyway. My sources say that it was the former Boss, lord Damon, who wiped out the guys we sent to Belmont.”
“What!?” Jemma unconsciously blurted out. A mistake she regretted instantly.
“That bitch is awake. Come on.”
Jemma took a step back. There was no escape plan, no weapon, nothing.. but one thing was certain, she was definitely leaving this building alive, even if she have to kill everyone to get out.

BANG! Thud!
Blood and brain matter stained the neatly polished tiled floor.
“Believe me when I say, my dear Carlos, the only reason you're still breathing is because you're still of use to me, but it seems you're fast outliving your usefulness.” Trejor spoke in a deep voice. There was no anger in his tone. Seated behind the mahogany table, he stared at Carlos who stood in front of him. Five other bodies laid lifeless on the floor.
“Godfather, I assure you, I will not fail you again.” Carlos pleaded with his head bowed low.
“I know you won't, because if you do, you forfeit your life. Is that understood?” Trejor said.
“Yes godfather.” Carlos said as he gulped down saliva. He knew very that the godfather, Trejor, won't hesitate to order his death, just as he ordered the death of Damon when Carlos told him about Damon's decision to leave the Mafia.
“Then why are you still here? Go, and bring me Damon's head as proof. Use whatever means and resources necessary!” Trejor shouted.
“Yes godfather!” Carlos replied and hurriedly left the office.
Closing the door behind him, he took out his phone and dialed a number.
“Get me the Bloodreaper, there's an assignment for him.”

Back at the Dragon's Head safehouse. Jemma laid on the floor, bloodied and injured, but alive. Two bodies laid beside her, one was completely still, while the other was currently releasing shallow breathes. New chapters come out on novelping . com first.
Jemma dragged herself up, picked up the gun and crawled towards the injured man.
“I have a question for you. If you answer it, I will let you live.. but if you play smart ass, I won't hesitate to put a bullet in your brain. Do I make myself clear?”
The man simply nodded.
“You mentioned earlier that Damon is now in Belmont City, how true is this?”
“A hundred.. percent.. true. Lord Carlos.. was the one.. who said it..” The man whizzed. It was clear he wasn't going to last much longer.
“You also said he wiped out sixty of your members, how possible is that?”
“He.. he now.. controls a gang.. of his own.. calls himself Rev.. Rev..” the man's breath stilled.
Jemma sighed. She still found it hard to believe Damon's still alive. First surviving a bullet to the head? An RPG bombardment? And now he took down sixty gang members?
“Seems like I have to head over to Belmont.” Jemma thought and stood up.

Seated in front of Carlos was a man dressed in a red robe, two katana blades by his side. His red pupils was sizing up Carlos.
This was one of the strongest mercenary in New Haven. Some even said he couldn't be killed. Some called him a vampire as all his victims were always drained of blood. And right now, Carlos pulled strings to get this fearsome hitman to agree to meet him.
“So let me get this straight. My target is a Damon Andres Mateo, your former friend and leader. You put a bullet in his head a month ago, but he somehow came back to life, then you blew him and his apartment with four Rocket Propelled Grenade, and he's still alive, so now you want me to find him and kill him, and bring his head to you. Is that right?” Bloodreaper said, his voice sounded otherworldly, like a voice modulator, except he wasn't using one. His voice alone sent chills down Carlos' spine.
“Y..yes, that's exactly it.” Carlos replied with a bit of stutter.
“I will be on my way to Belmont then.” Bloodreaper said and stood up. He was excited to meet this new target. For someone who won't stay dead, and when killed more than fifty armed men in one day, Bloodreaper can't imagine how fun it will be finally dominate this target.
“Our battle will be legendary!”
