“He calls himself ‘Revenant’. And you're telling me he's responsible for the recent skirmish we had with the gangs of New Haven.” a baritone voice said, his tone was dripping with authority. This voice belonged to a big bellied fat man.. Fletcher Hernandez. The boss of the Fletcher gang. In the previous fight against Dragon's Head, they had lost more than thirty men. And in a city where gangs are rated by the number of their members, every single life mattered.
Losing thirty men at once was a real loss on their side.. and for this, someone had to take responsibility and be punished for it.
“The information we have on is states that he has completely subjugated all the lower-tier gangs.. including the Cortez gang. Rumor has it that he can't die. They say he's immortal.”
At this statement, Fletcher burst into laughter. Never before had he heard such lies. A man who can't die? Was this a movie or game?
“I see he built his reputation on lies. I must congratulate him for coming up with such a genius idea. If there's one thing men fear, it's the supernatural, and he made use of that fear to build a good reputation. Hahahahaha!” Fletcher then took a cigar from the table..a Cohiba Blue brand, one of the most expensive cigars in the world. This just shows how rich the Fletcher gang is.
Fletcher lit the cigar, took a long swing, and exhaled a ring of smoke. He then turned to his second in command, “Send someone to contact this joker, and tell him that the Fletcher gang is willing to forgive his childish mistake if he joins us. And failure to accept our invitation will result to the eradication of his newly formed gang.”
“Yes Boss Fletcher.” The man said and left.
“Can't die. Hahahaha, what a load of crap.” Fletcher muttered and smiled. He still couldn't understand how the low-tier gangs bought that bullshit. And now, he was really hoping this Revenant will turn down his offer.. and then.. “We will test that theory of being an immortal.”

BELMONT CITY AIRPORT [FLETCHER TERRITORY]
A young lady in her early thirties stepped out of the airport when a middle-aged man walked up to her.
“Jemma Mensa?” The man asked.
“Yes. You must be Earl.” Jemma replied. The man nodded and then gestured towards a pickup truck.
“Let’s go.” He said and turned around, making his way towards the truck.
“I heard about Jayson. He was a good man.” Earl said as he drove the truck. Jemma on the other hand didn't reply. She was done mourning her Uncle. Now she was here for the one person who can help her get revenge: Damon Mateo.
“What do you plan on doing now you're in Belmont. Let me tell you, this city isn't for those who are looking for a fresh start.” Earl continued.
“I'm not here for a fresh start. I'm looking for someone.” Jemma replied. Her face was devoid of all emotion.
“That figures. I owed Jayson a favor, so you can just tell me who you're looking for and I might be able to help you.” Earl said as he took a left turn, driving deeper into the Fletcher territory.
Jemma stayed quiet, she contemplated for a moment, but she knew she had no means of searching for Damon in such a big city, it could take her months if she searched alone. She then turned to Earl, “I'm looking for the man who wiped out sixty of Dragon's Head men.” Jemma said.
SCREEECH!!!
Earl's sudden use of emergency handbrake caused Jemma to almost hurl profanity at the man.. she was about to, but then she saw fear and anger in Earl’s eyes, and curiosity took over.
“You're here to find the Revenant?” Earl asked, but before Jemma could answer, he stretched his hand and opened her door. His intention was simple.. Get out.
“I'm sorry, I can't help you.” Earl said in a firm tone. “Get out.”
Jemma was stunned for a moment. She couldn't grasp what she had done wrong. But seeing Earl’s angry expression, she knew better than to refuse. She removed the seatbelt and got out of the truck.
“Take a bus to the Favela, it's a couple hours drive. Once there, you can then freely look for the Revenant. But do not mention him around this part, except you want a bullet to your skull.” Earl said as he shut the door behind her. He then turned on the ignition and drove off.
Jemma simply stood in confusion. ‘Just what kind of reputation has Damon built for himself here.’ she thought.
“Sir, we are now landing in Belmont Belmont airport.” A man dressed in black suit said with a differential tone to the man beside him. He resisted the urge to glance at the man clad in blood red long coat. He had been briefed by his superior that he will escorting he infamous Bloodreaper to Belmont on an assignment. At first, he didn't believe it, but now, sitting across the most dangerous and powerful mercenary, he couldn't help but feel chills run down his spine.
“As soon as we leave the plane, make contact with Fletcher Hernandez, let him send someone to pick us up.” Bloodreaper said with an air of indifference.
“Yes Sir.”
It didn't take long for the passenger boarding door to open. Bloodreaper stood up and walked out of the airplane, meanwhile the young man behind him was the phone. Bloodreaper couldn't care less for his well-being, for all he knew, this weak gang member was insignificant in completing his mission.
“Sir, the boss of Fletcher gang said he's sending people to pick us up.” The man said. Bloodreaper mainly nodded.
Outside the airport, just few minutes later, two SUVs pulled up beside them.
“Bloodreaper?” A Fletcher member asked, Bloodreaper mainly nodded. The backdoor of the SUV was opened. He stepped in and closed the door, showing no concern for the Dragon's Head gang member behind him.
“What about him?” The Fletcher member asked again.
“Unimportant.” Bloodreaper replied with an emotionless tone.
And just like that.. BANG! BANG!
Two bullets pierced the man's chest. He was confused as to why he was killed, wasn't he here to assist the Bloodreaper? Why was he now shot? His body lost strength and he fell to the ground. Even as he died, he couldn't understand what he had done wrong.
Meanwhile Bloodreaper was on his way to meet Fletcher Hernandez.
“Wait for me Damon, I will be taking your head with me to New Haven.”
