Boys in their childhood years are truly…

After attending a math class with those little brats, Sakura was exhausted. Her stamina depended entirely on whether she had eaten her fill.

If she got hungry, she would simply collapse on the spot.Full novel: A Sasuke/Sakura Hater Transmigrates as Sakura — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

What was even more extreme was that when she was tired to a certain point and fell asleep, it was no different from being dead. Unless a rock hit her face, even if the sky fell and the earth cracked, she would sleep without any reaction until her body recovered.

When she first discovered this constitution, she had wanted to eat ten large bowls of rice in one go to replenish her stamina and prevent hunger.

But then she found out that this garbage body simply couldn’t eat that much.

No matter how hungry or tired she was, no matter how intense her physical training, her stomach seemed as if eight-tenths of it had been cut off. She would feel full after just half a bowl of anything, and if she ate any more, she would immediately throw up.

She grabbed the System and yelled, “Sakura isn’t like this! She’s beautiful, fierce, and her body is healthy and strong! What have you done to Sakura’s body, you perverted bastard!”

System: “That’s the setting.”

“Setting your ass! Where’s my robust and healthy Sakura? This isn’t some frail body with a broken stomach!”

System: “The author-sensei set Sakura Haruno’s figure to be as slender and beautiful as cherry blossom petals. She has the protagonist’s setting halo—no matter what she eats, she can’t gain weight. Not only do you lack the Immortality Halo, you also don’t have the ‘no-weight-gain’ halo. But the power of the setting is strong and irreversible. The only way to keep a figure similar to the original is to make you eat less, less, and even less. Can you imagine Sakura being as fat as Choji?”

Sakura Haruno roared: “What kind of bullshit setting is this?! Didn’t you say I transmigrated into a parallel-world Naruto? Since there was no Sakura in this world, you pulled me here to fill the role. If you’re making me take her place, shouldn’t I be able to do it my own way? Why does my figure have to be exactly the same? Do you think my brain is as dumb as a pig for not noticing? My face is becoming less and less like Sakura’s—my green eyes aren’t as light as hers, my hair isn’t as short, and even my face is rounder than hers. If my face can change, why can’t I get fat? What’s wrong with Choji? Isn’t Choji cute too?”

Sakura Haruno didn’t understand. She couldn’t comprehend at all what this bullshit System was trying to do.

There were logical loopholes and contradictions everywhere.

And don’t think she hadn’t noticed—ever since she arrived, many minor settings in this Naruto world had been changing. Even Iruka had come earlier to become Naruto’s homeroom teacher.

Yet the System could still talk to her without a hint of guilt or shame, ignoring these phenomena, saying this was hard to change, that was hard to change.

The System also turned fierce. “Don’t you understand? The reason your appearance is different is because you come with a beauty upgrade attribute—it’s a transmigration benefit and can’t be deleted. I can’t do anything about it! But when it comes to figure settings, once the author writes it, it’s hard to change. Even if you want to gain weight, you’d have to pay a huge price. This world was created by the author. You’re using someone else’s worldview and still whining about wanting to change it? Why don’t you just fly up to the sky? If you have the guts, go be a creator god yourself and stop arguing with me!”

Come on, let’s roar at each other.

Like fighting hippos, opening their mouths wide enough to swallow an entire river, roaring and roaring.

Sakura Haruno’s face twisted in anger, and she couldn’t help but raise a harmonious finger. “Trash is trash. Stop making excuses, you garbage.”

The System pressed its face right up against hers. “It’s been years since you transmigrated, and you still remember Sakura Haruno’s face? You perverted bastard lusting after a cute 2D girl.”

Sakura Haruno suddenly found herself unable to refute, then in a fit of anger, she submitted the “List of Items for System Formatting” into the complaint box.

The memory cut off there.

Sakura Haruno stared at the lavish lunch in her bento box. Last night, her mom had received a bonus, so this morning’s breakfast had been a splurge. It reminded her of the “friendly” discussions she used to have with the System about her figure.

So. Damn. Annoying. (##)

Especially since she had only taken a few bites of the freshly fried beef slices and a dozen or so mouthfuls of rice before starting to feel full. Yet her eyes were still craving the remaining large fried shrimp, fish sushi, and seafood tempura.

No matter how much her eyes wanted to eat, her stomach and mouth were already protesting. If she dared to stuff in one more piece of fried food, she’d probably throw up right then and there.

Sakura Haruno glared at the bento box, growing angrier the longer she looked.

Beside her, Naruto held his freshly made cup noodles, swallowing hard as he quietly asked, “Sakura, has your bento been sitting out too long and gotten bugs or something?”

Otherwise, why would she be staring at the bento box with such hatred? It looked pretty amazing to him.

At that, Sakura lost even the last bit of her appetite. She shoved the bento box toward Naruto.

“Eat it.”

It was all money—if she threw it in the trash, she’d probably be struck by lightning.

Naruto held the noodles in one hand and the bento in the other, anxiously saying, “But what will you eat? You only had a few bites…”

Oh, right. He remembered now—Sakura had a small appetite and never ate much at once, but she got hungry quickly. If she didn’t eat now, she’d definitely be starving by the afternoon.

He looked down at his noodles. They couldn’t be saved for later—once they turned soggy, how could Sakura eat them?

Sakura’s bento couldn’t be kept for long either. There was too much fried food, and it would turn hard if left out, which wouldn’t be good for her stomach either.

Holding the food, Naruto watched as Sakura leaned against a tree trunk and closed her eyes to rest. He bit his lip sadly. “Sakura…”

How could he eat while Sakura went hungry?

Sakura Haruno lazily replied, “Hurry up and eat. Don’t waste my bento. I’ll check the box later.”

Naruto gritted his teeth before nodding firmly. “Yeah.”

Then he quickly scanned the area. This was the leisure flat ground where they ate lunch, like a garden filled with trees and grass.

He spotted someone with a sandwich—something that could be saved for later. No, that one had been bitten by that guy.

Sashimi… could that even fill someone up? Though it was also cold, it clearly wasn’t suitable for someone with a poor appetite.

A freshly opened bento box—bonito rice balls, cherry tomatoes… this could be saved for later, and the owner hadn’t eaten it yet.

Ah, that arrogant jerk.

What Naruto saw was Sasuke’s bento. Frowning, he steeled himself for a moment before walking over. Though it pained him, he still held out Sakura’s bento.

“Here, trade with me.”

Sasuke had just picked up a rice ball and looked up in confusion at Naruto, his expression immediately darkening. “What?”

Naruto grimaced for a moment. Asking anyone else would’ve been fine, but asking this guy was just so painful.

“Trade bentos with me. Take one look and you’ll realize how pathetic your own bento is. Out of the goodness of my heart, I’m offering you this incredibly luxurious and delicious bento in exchange. Hurry up and trade—you’re getting the better deal here.”

Sasuke was speechless for a moment, then ignored him and turned to the side, about to take a bite of his rice ball.

Naruto quickly placed the cup noodles in front of him, urging, “Don’t eat that! Sakura won’t eat something someone else has already bitten. I’ll give you the noodles too.”

Sasuke’s face turned cold. “I don’t eat other people’s leftovers either. Why are you trying to trade me a bento that’s already been eaten… Sakura?”

Naruto pointed at his own noodles, “I haven’t tried this before, I just wanted to smell it. I’ll trade you… three rice balls.”

He had originally wanted to trade for the whole box, but his noodles were really too embarrassing to offer. Still, three rice balls would definitely be enough to fill Sakura’s small appetite.

Sasuke hesitated for a moment, “Um, does Haruno want to eat this?”

Naruto immediately shook his head, “She loves sweet things the most. Rice balls are just okay for her.”

Sasuke’s movement to share the rice balls froze, and he quickly pulled them back. Having his favorite food described as “just okay” — he had his pride too.

Even friends shouldn’t talk about his mother’s rice balls like that.

Naruto frowned in frustration again, “But she eats so little and gets hungry again quickly in the afternoon.”

Sasuke fell silent, wrestling with himself for a while, before taking out the paper placed at the bottom of his lunchbox. He deftly wrapped three rice balls along with two small tomatoes and handed them to Naruto.

“Take your lunchbox back. You can have these.”

Sharing small things like this with friends was something Sasuke had no psychological barrier about at all.

Naruto’s eyes lit up. He set down his noodles and reached out to take the rice balls. Just as he was about to awkwardly say thank you, he felt his hand suddenly lighten — it was now empty.

Sasuke and Naruto whipped their heads around to see a plump little whirlwind swiftly sweeping across the entire courtyard, stealing food from every spot it passed.

“Choji!”

Naruto roared angrily. These were precious rice balls he had swallowed his pride and finally managed to get from that stuck-up Uchiha.

Choji’s mouth was stuffed with food, and he had already started unwrapping the rice ball paper, about to tip them into his mouth, when his foot caught on something. He went flying, and a hand snatched the packet of rice balls from his grasp.

Choji tumbled into a ball and crashed into a tree trunk. Sakura Haruno walked past him, while Shikamaru chased after her with a helpless expression, saying, “Sorry.”

Sakura Haruno said, “It’s fine. He gets hungry quickly.”

That’s just how the Inuzuka clan’s Secret Technique is.

Shikamaru nodded at her gratefully, relieved, then rushed over to grab Choji.

Sakura Haruno walked up to Sasuke, then pulled Naruto down to sit with her. The three of them sat in a circle, like a spontaneous gathering of friends during lunch break.

“Thank you, Sasuke,” Sakura Haruno paused, “I can call you by your name, right?”

After all, they weren’t very familiar, and the Uchiha were proud. Better not address him casually.

She was certain Sasuke Uchiha’s eyes were set high. During the time he’d been attending classes, the only names he seemed to remember were those of the top-ranking students, and Naruto.

Sasuke looked into her green eyes, feeling a flicker of nervousness for a moment, but he quickly said, “Of course.”

Naruto was already eating his noodles. Half of them were soggy, so he had to eat quickly. He made a ferocious face as he ate and chimed in after Sakura, “Oh, Sasuke.”

A vein throbbed on Sasuke’s forehead, “I didn’t say you could. We’re not close.”

Naruto rolled his eyes, “You’re not close with Sakura either. Stop pretending.”

Sakura gently patted Naruto’s shoulder. The previously snarling little fox immediately trembled from head to tail, falling completely silent. Even the sound of him eating noodles grew quieter.

Sakura took out a dried fish rice ball and placed her own lunchbox in the middle.

“I can’t finish this, but it’s my mother’s heartfelt effort. Except for the rice, I haven’t touched any of the other food with my chopsticks. If you don’t mind, let’s eat together.”

Then she took a bite of the rice ball. She hadn’t actually been full earlier—she had just gotten so angry thinking about the System that it felt like she was full. The rice ball was lighter than fried food, and with some effort, she could still force it into her stomach to fight against the System’s rules.

Naruto: “He doesn’t eat other people’s saliva, so I’ll eat it.”

Sasuke glared at him, and Naruto glared back. Sakura kept her head down, focusing on chewing her rice ball.

In the end, Naruto ate all the bento, while Sasuke, out of habit, didn’t touch it.

After that, they somehow ended up eating lunch together every day. Naruto and Sakura often swapped food, and eventually, Sasuke hesitantly joined in. In the end, the three of them ate lunch without distinguishing between yours and mine, often taking bites from each other’s food.

Occasionally, Naruto and Sasuke would even start fighting over the same piece of food (usually with Naruto getting beaten up one-sidedly). Before they could flip over the bento boxes, Sakura would send them both flying to the treetops with a punch each.

Boys in their childhood really were so full of energy that even people and dogs found them annoying.
