Passing a shopping mall on the way, she turned in without hesitation and went straight to the outdoor equipment section, buying twenty sets of cold-resistant diving suits and full matching gear in one go. Her car was completely packed.

After driving back to the mine, she hid the corpse in a concealed rock cave. By the time she returned home, dinner was already prepared by her family.

She acted as if nothing had happened—slowly changing clothes, washing her hands, and sitting down to eat, as though the earlier danger had never occurred.Full novel: Abandoned in the apocalypse? I rise through plunder to make a comeback — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She gave the B-level grappling skill to Liu Zun, hoping that in the future, when her father went out alone, he would no longer be vulnerable to tracking or assassination.

She gave the C-level self-defense skill to her sister-in-law, Ning Zhenzhen. Since the baby was still not aborted, it meant her brother likely wanted the child. She hoped they could raise it safely.

As for the golden right hand and the boxer’s right hand obtained from Zhao Qiang, she gave one to Yang Wen and one to her son. She kept the C-level professional combat technique and the B-level firearms skill for herself.

As for physical training to improve stamina—there simply wasn’t time. That would have to wait until the apocalypse, when they were hiding inside the mine.

Liu You pointed at himself. “What about mine?”

“You?” she looked him over. “A young, strong adult man who even likes working out—you don’t need to steal skills from the elderly and children.”

Liu You: “……”

Fine. Brutal. But he wasn’t actually angry.

The family rested early, but at midnight, she suddenly opened her eyes.

Two synchronized footsteps came from outside.

Liu Zun and Liu You were already fully prepared.

Tonight, they were going to empty the Shen family’s stockpiles.

Just thinking about it was exciting.

“Let’s go.”

Short and decisive.

The three of them, as usual, condensed spider silk, then drove straight toward the Shen family mine.

After getting out of the car, Liu You shivered. “Damn… why is it so cold?”

She checked the weather and her expression immediately darkened.

The forecast showed a low of -6°C, high only 3°C.

In her previous life, it had never been this cold at this time of year.

The apocalypse had accelerated. They had to move faster.

“Girl, any plan?” Liu Zun asked.

“No plan. Just take everything while no one’s here.”

She had already hidden the GPS tracker under a rock near their home. Shen Jianchen would still think the detective was monitoring them—he would never expect everything to already be turned upside down.

The three climbed to the top of the mine and activated the gecko climbing ability, scaling the rock wall in one breath.

Through the hole she had previously drilled, she used the Breakthrough Eye and perception ability to confirm there was no one inside.

“Do it.”

Liu Zun and Liu You immediately set explosives.

BOOM!

The mountainside exploded open, rubble cascading down.

They rushed in.

Liu Zun and Liu You headed straight for forklifts and transport equipment, while she grabbed lightweight supplies and loaded them onto mine carts.

Snowmobiles? Taken.

Sleds, skis, goggles? Packed.

Heaters, hot packs, hand-crank generators? Loaded.

Compressed food, dried meat, fruits, vegetables, seeds? All taken.

Even sled dogs in muzzles, two strong horses, and cages of chicks were either led or carried onto the carts.

She also erased all traces as she worked.

By dawn, the vast mine was completely emptied—nothing remained.

“Enough,” she checked the time. “Blow it up and make it look like a natural collapse.”

Liu You gave a thumbs-up.

Another series of explosions buried the mine entrance completely.

On the way back, sitting in the loaded carts, she couldn’t help thinking:

She wondered what Shen Jianchen would look like when he saw his mine completely emptied.

But it didn’t matter.

He deserved it.

Back home, they began unloading again—but the storage warehouse was already overflowing. Even corners were full.

“Workers are coming today to install interiors, cameras, and wiring. Leaving these outside will expose us,” she said, her eyes tightening with urgency.

They needed spatial storage abilities. Fast.

Otherwise, no matter how much they gathered, it would just be wasted.

“What now? We can’t return it—the mine is already destroyed,” Liu You scratched his head.

Return it?

She laughed coldly.

Impossible.

Even if she threw it away to feed dogs, she wouldn’t give it back to Shen Jianchen.

“We’ll send it to the military base next door.”

Both of them froze.

“Send it… next door?”

“Yes. Donate it to the state.”

If it couldn’t be stored, then hand it over. Better than letting trash keep it.

Without hesitation, they loaded everything onto trucks and drove through the morning mist toward the military air-raid shelter.

She left a note:

“Donated to the state. No need to thank. — A helpful citizen.”

After that, they left.

Inside the shelter, a young soldier had already noticed the movement through the fog. After confirming nothing suspicious, the heavy doors slowly opened.

A tall man stepped out first.

He wore a steel-gray tailored wool coat, the fabric hanging perfectly over his broad shoulders and narrow waist. Damp black hair clung slightly to his forehead from the mist. His sharp brows and deep-set eyes carried an icy, commanding presence—like a man born to power or war.

Beside him stood Fu Shihan in military uniform.

“Mr. Huo, it’s this direction,” Fu Shihan said respectfully.

The man’s gaze landed on the mountain of supplies in the forest. His brows barely tightened.

Fu Shihan picked up the note.

“‘Donated to the state. No need to thank. A helpful citizen?’”

“…Did someone leak information?”
