Editor: Atlas Studios “Oh, why so careless?” a teasing voice came from one of the men beside her.
Another man even reached out his hand, seemingly trying to lift her face.
Summer Ford caught a glimpse of the man’s reaction out of the corner of her eye, her body tensing slightly.
Covering her face with her hand, she skillfully avoided him just as his hand was about to touch her, and Summer Ford got up from the ground.
“Sorry, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be going now!” Without turning her head, she lowered it and tried to walk towards the door.
However, just as she took a step, a gunshot suddenly rang out behind her.
Before she could react to the situation, a bullet had already swept past her.
Summer Ford’s body stiffened completely, suddenly frozen.
“Did my brother say you could leave?” the man who had just spoken stood up lazily and walked towards her, “Since you’re here, why not have a few drinks with the gentlemen?
If you serve well, I promise you’ll reap the benefits, hmm?”
Summer Ford listened quietly to his words, pondering how to deal with the situation.
Considering the chaos in the room, she didn’t need to guess to know that nothing good would happen if she stayed.
Thinking this, she didn’t care about the gun threatening her from behind; she protected her head with her hands and dashed towards the door.
She was quite bold, completely unafraid.
Her movement caused chaos to erupt at the scene immediately.
“Damn girl, what are you running for?
What?
Not happy to stay longer?
You’ve come to a place like this, and now you’re pretending to be innocent?” came the cursing from the man behind her, along with a barrage of gunfire, “Bang bang bang bang,” accompanied by screams from several women in the room.
The scene was utterly chaotic.
Summer Ford dared not look back, only desperately sprinted towards the exit.
Just at the door, a bright Alperia knife suddenly flew over from in front of her.
The sudden situation caused Summer Ford’s pupils to contract slightly.
Assuming she was trapped both front and back, she frantically tried to dodge, only to find that the knife merely grazed past her and flew straight towards the back.
Then came a “thud” sound.
Turning her head back, the gun held by the man who had been shooting at her before had already been knocked to the ground.
Summer Ford froze, her face suddenly turned, her gaze following the direction the knife had flown from.
Seeing clearly the man approaching, a glimmer of joy flashed in her eyes, and she instinctively ran towards him.
“I knew you wouldn’t abandon me!” Reaching Ethan Laurent, she tugged him in front of herself, hiding behind him somewhat shamelessly.
“Where did you get that idea?” Ethan Laurent shot her a sideways glance, leisurely stepped into the room.
“Otherwise, you wouldn’t have saved me just now!” Summer Ford followed closely behind him, glancing at the men with fierce looks glaring at her, added, “I’ll leave these people to you!”
She seemed certain that he wouldn’t stand by idly, speaking with an air of entitlement.
Ethan Laurent looked at her coolly, feeling a bit speechless at her words, yet he didn’t refute.
The faces of the men in the room turned completely dark.
He bent down to try and pick up the gun on the ground, his hand just reaching out when a figure suddenly blocked his way.
His head rose sharply; before he could see clearly what was happening, the gun on the ground was already kicked far away by a long leg…
