Zhou Shijing watched her movements without stopping her, his expression still cold and detached, as if it had nothing to do with him. “What’s this? Does Xiao Xue want to offer her older brother a casting couch deal?”

Wen Xuxue glanced at him suspiciously. “Isn’t this what you want?”

Even as he said such words, Zhou Shijing’s face remained expressionless, icy and cold, his voice even carrying a hint of arrogance.

“So this is what Older Brother is in Xiao Xue’s heart.”

Wen Xuxue: “…”

Truly, the older he gets, the more shameless he becomes.

She couldn’t even be bothered to retort.

As she remained silent, Zhou Shijing continued, his tone taking on a layer of profound meaning. “Using this method to curry favor with me—does your boyfriend know?”

Wen Xuxue said, “If you don’t tell, and I don’t tell, he won’t find out.”

Zhou Shijing let out a laugh, but the mirth was extremely faint. “Older Brother has no obligation to keep your secrets.”

“What do you mean, my secret?” Wen Xuxue said. “This is clearly our secret.”

Zhou Shijing looked at her silently for a long moment before saying, “Fine.”

He stood up and began to unbuckle his belt, commanding in tone, “Go lie face down on the bed yourself.”

…

In the end, nothing happened.

Because Zhou Shijing suddenly received a phone call.

His expression displeased, he zipped his trousers back up, glanced at the girl on the bed, and then took his phone out to the balcony.

The door connecting the living room to the balcony was a transparent glass door, allowing Wen Xuxue to clearly see his back.

Broad shoulders and a narrow waist, dressed in a dark suit, the excellent tailoring outlining his nearly perfect physique.

He paced slowly on the balcony, constantly speaking into the phone, occasionally glancing back at her.

After meeting his gaze, Wen Xuxue averted her eyes, stopped looking at him, went to put her clothes back on, and took her phone to sit on the sofa in the living room.

Not long after, Zhou Shijing walked back in from the balcony.

Wen Xuxue’s gaze subconsciously fell onto his suit trousers.

Still prominent.

She pursed her lips, the tips of her ears involuntarily reddening.

Zhou Shijing’s brows and eyes held a faint chill. He walked up to her and said, “Something’s come up at the company. Older Brother has to go.”

Wen Xuxue smiled and waved at him. “Bye-bye, Older Brother.”

Zhou Shijing looked down at her, his face a mask of unruffled calm, and suggested, “Won’t you come back with me?”

Wen Xuxue was taken aback, a little puzzled. “Didn’t you say there was an urgent matter at the company? Why would I go back with you? I can’t help.”

Zhou Shijing’s gaze as he looked at her grew more meaningful. He suddenly grasped her hand.

Guiding it, he lightly traced it over his hip bone.

Letting it rest on the high-grade wool fabric.

And rubbed.

Wen Xuxue’s body stiffened.

His thin lips parted slightly, his words pointed. “How could you not be able to help?”

Wen Xuxue’s face paled a little. She stammered, “I… you… in that state, can you still work?”

“And… and… won’t there be people in your office?”

Zhou Shijing ignored all her questions, saying with steady composure, “Older Brother is here, it’ll be fine.”

Wen Xuxue wanted to pull her hand back, but he pressed it down firmly.

Wen Xuxue turned her face away, very unwilling. “No, I’m not going with you. I want to sleep.”

Zhou Shijing’s expression was indifferent. “Going to bed at eight-thirty?”

Wen Xuxue made up an excuse on the spot. “Early to bed, early to rise, good for the health.”

Zhou Shijing suddenly let go.

Wen Xuxue, finally freed, immediately hid her hands behind her back and lowered her head uneasily, her long hair cascading over her chest with the movement.

She had never dyed her hair; her long locks were naturally a faint reddish-brown, shimmering with a dreamy glow under the light.

Zhou Shijing remained standing, his cool gaze briefly lingering on her hair as he said calmly, “Really not coming with me?”

His tone carried a hint of sternness, making Wen Xuxue look up at him in confusion.

His eyes were so cold, as if they could freeze her solid.

A sense of overwhelming threat and oppression filled the air.

With no choice, Wen Xuxue obediently took his hand, becoming surprisingly agreeable. “Let’s go, Older Brother.”

Zhou Shijing ruffled her hair and praised, “Xiao Xue is so well-behaved.”

Wen Xuxue merely forced a smile.

When Zhou Shijing left, he hadn’t brought a driver, so the task of driving fell to him.

But even while driving, he wasn’t behaving properly.

Dressed impeccably from head to toe, he looked refined and meticulous.

Wen Xuxue felt like crying but had no tears left. With her left hand under his control, she pleaded the entire way, “Older Brother, this could cause an accident… I’m still young, I don’t want to die, wuwu.”

Zhou Shijing remained expressionless, occasionally glancing at her without responding, only issuing a cold command: “Hold on tight.”

Wen Xuxue pouted, looking pitiful. “I want to get out of the car, I want to go home, let me go… There really will be an accident, Older Brother, please.”

Perhaps annoyed by her noise, Zhou Shijing’s expression softened slightly as he patiently coaxed, “After being with me for so long, you still don’t trust my driving skills?”

As the car approached a traffic light and stopped for the red light, he briefly freed up and turned to look at her, continuing, “If you don’t want an accident, take the initiative yourself. Don’t distract me any further.”

Wen Xuxue bit her lip, looking aggrieved. “Can’t you just hold back?”

The light turned green, and Zhou Shijing stepped on the accelerator, the black Bentley speeding down the street.

A faint displeasure flickered in Zhou Shijing’s expression as he said, “No.”

Though Wen Xuxue cursed him countless times in her heart, she didn’t dare utter a word aloud.

She regretted agreeing to go back to the company with him, wuwuwu.

This torturous, nerve-wracking journey finally ended when the car entered the underground parking lot.

Wen Xuxue quickly opened the car door and got out.

She waited outside for a while before the man stepped out.

He looked as aloof and restrained as ever, with no hint of anything amiss.

Wen Xuxue stood far away from him. Zhou Shijing frowned slightly and asked, “Why are you standing so far from me?”

Wen Xuxue said, “You’re dirty.”

Zhou Shijing: “…”

His cool gaze fixed precisely on her, half-teasing, half-devoid of emotion. “Who’s really the dirty one here?”

Following his gaze, Wen Xuxue looked down at herself and exclaimed angrily, “You’re the one who made me dirty!”

“Mm.” Zhou Shijing admitted frankly, extending his right hand to hold hers. “It’s all Older Brother’s fault.”

Wen Xuxue snorted coldly. “Good that you know.”

Given an inch, she wanted a mile, adding, “Are we going to do this ‘dangerous’ thing in the office later?”

Zhou Shijing’s expression remained as authoritative as ever, his deep features strikingly handsome under the dim light. He stared at her motionlessly and slowly asked, “What do you think?”

Wen Xuxue froze.

She lowered her gaze to look.

Then he looked up in surprise, flustered and panicked: “You were in the car for so long just now, and you still haven’t sorted it out?”
