Clutching at Ivana Bennett’s wrist, Lucas Walker roared in anger, “Are you stupid or what?

Don’t you know that if you keep going like this, your hand will become infected and the skin will rot, this hand will become useless…”

Ivana Bennett looked at his face twisted with anger and replied calmly, “The hand is mine, and I can do whatever I want with it!”Full novel: Address Me With Your Name — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“You…” Lucas Walker shook her off and snapped, “Don’t think for a second that I wouldn’t dare to kill you!”

With one look at her face, Lucas Walker angrily gritted his teeth, strode over to the door, and flung it open.

“Someone!”

He heard the soft footfall as the Butler slowly approached from afar, “Sir.”

Lucas turned his face, pointed to Ivana and shouted angrily, “Throw her down for me!

Toss her into the sea and feed the sharks!”

The Butler cast a glance at Ivana on the bed and quickly averted his gaze.

He knew clearly that his master did not truly want to kill her.

If the Duke had wanted to take a life, like Ivana who was bound to the bed at this moment, Lucas Walker could have easily ended her with one hand without having to resort to such drastic measures.

His declaration to throw her into the sea to feed the sharks was merely talk said in a moment of anger.

Lucas Walker was never one to make idle threats.

This meant that he truly didn’t want to let her go.

“Sir!” the Butler began in a low voice, “Would you…mind stepping out for a moment?”

Lucas Walker gave him one look, and then stepped outside.

The Butler carefully closed the door behind him and followed Lucas Walker outside

“Speak!” Lucas Walker gritted out one word from between clenched teeth.

“Yes, sir.” the Butler stepped up beside him and began in a low voice, “The girl has a similar character to you; she’s very stubborn.

If this continues, it will only backfire.

Perhaps, you could try another approach.

Don’t all girls like to be coaxed and spoiled by men?”

Lucas Walker gave him a sideways glance and scoffed, “Do you expect me to submit myself to her?

Not a chance!”

Before the Butler could say more, Lucas Walker had already turned and strode away.

Watching Lucas Walker’s tall figure leave, the Butler let out a quiet sigh.

In the room, Ivana Bennett was busy pulling at her chains under the covers, trying to free herself, but to no avail.

The chains seemed delicate, but they were unusually hard.

Despite her best efforts, she couldn’t pull them apart and succeeded only in hurting herself.

It was then she noticed that while she was naked, the places on her wrists and ankles where the chains were fastened were all wrapped in gauze.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, she immediately ceased her actions.

“Those chains are made of gold-plated titanium.

You won’t be able to break them.” Lucas Walker walked over to her and loomed over her, “Let’s make a trade?”

A trade?!

This man really couldn’t be predicted.

One moment he wanted to throw her into the sea to feed the fish, the next he was back proposing a trade with her.

Ivana Bennett looked him directly in his blue eyes, “What kind of trade?”

Lucas Walker met her gaze, his eyes on her delicate face, he outlined the terms of the deal, “Behave and let me dress your wounds, and I’ll release you from the bed.”

With a roll of her eyes, Ivana shot Lucas Walker a disdainful glare.

Every bit of her message of contempt and distrust lay within that single look.

Lucas Walker felt a surge of anger rising in his chest, and he gritted his teeth, ready to explode.

And yet, at that very moment, Ivana Bennett unexpectedly spoke again.

“Fine.” And then, she stretched out her right hand towards him, “Bandage me!”
