“What the hell is going on?!
Why is there a portal?!” Stephen stared blankly at the scene unfolding in front of him, his pupils trembling as his gaze locked entirely onto the young man’s hands.
He could see it clear as day—the kid didn’t have a Sling Ring!
Opening a dimensional portal barehanded?!
Had the world gone completely insane?!
“Wong, please tell me I’m dreaming right now!” he muttered, genuinely wondering if he was still asleep in his bed.
A Sling Ring was the absolute key to helping a sorcerer focus their magic.
Without it, controlling dimensional energy was next to impossible!
The only exception would be someone possessing an unimaginably profound understanding of the mystic arts, coupled with an innate, god-like affinity for magic itself!
But…
that was only a theory!
How could someone like that actually exist in the real world?!
That was basically a divine vessel for magic!
It took Wong a long moment to finally find his voice.
“You’re not dreaming.” He had already pinched his own thigh hard enough to leave a bruise.
He never expected to actually stumble across a bona fide magical prodigy!
Wong’s eyes were practically bulging out of his skull.
He knew full well he had just been killing time, playing tour guide on the off chance he might spot a needle in a haystack.
He truly never expected a once-in-a-generation genius to just casually stroll in.
His brain was completely short-circuiting.
Even after a long pause, he still couldn’t process what he was seeing.
All around the Sanctum, the tourists were staring at the shower of golden sparks, their eyes glowing with excitement.
“This is beautiful!
I can’t believe someone can actually cast real magic!” “Wait, I think he came in with us!
He’s just a tourist too!” “I thought these books were just props, but someone actually learned a spell from them!” “That doesn’t make sense.
If that’s true, I should have been able to cast a spell just now too!” Most of the crowd had come to the Magical Library purely for entertainment.
Even though they were holding actual spellbooks, none of them took it seriously.
Seeing a fellow tourist suddenly perform actual magic blew their minds, prompting several of them to immediately mimic Holden’s hand gestures in a desperate attempt to cast their own spells.
Naturally, Holden was the only one making anything happen.
‘Wow, I didn’t think it would actually work on the first try,’ Holden thought, his mouth twitching slightly as he stared at the swirling portal in front of him.
Just a moment ago, he had pulled a random ancient tome off the shelf, which just so happened to contain the instructions for opening a dimensional portal.
He originally assumed he would need a Sling Ring to make it work.
But after skimming the text, he figured he might as well give it a shot.
He simply visualized his destination, traced a circle in the air with his right hand, and the golden sparks had instantly flared to life.
He never expected it to be this easy.
However, he had a pretty good guess as to why.
It was definitely a combination of the cosmic energy already flowing through his veins and the God-Tier Magic Talent he had just acquired.
That was the only explanation for why it felt as effortless as breathing.
“First try?!” Even though Holden had only muttered it under his breath, Stephen and Wong heard him perfectly.
Hearing those words, the usually composed Stephen Strange nearly dropped to his knees.
‘Did he just say that was his first try?!’ Stephen vividly remembered his own grueling training under the Ancient One.
He had practiced day and night, exhausting an unimaginable amount of time and energy just to summon a single spark.
He had endured absolute physical and mental torture, yet still failed!
It wasn’t until he was stranded on the freezing peak of Mount Everest, pushed to the absolute brink of death, that he finally managed to tear open a dimensional portal.
Now, this young man’s casual remark felt like a dagger to the chest, driving the normally arrogant doctor to question his entire existence.
First try?!
How could he even say that with a straight face?!
This guy wasn’t a prodigy; he was an absolute freak of nature!
“Unbelievable.
Is this what a true genius looks like?” Wong swallowed hard, shooting a bizarre look at Stephen.
The Ancient One had always praised Stephen as a once-in-a-century talent, and under her tutelage, he had indeed shown extraordinary potential.
But compared to the kid standing in front of them, they weren’t even in the same universe.
For a brief, wild moment, Wong actually wondered if they had recruited the wrong guy.
This kid was the one the Sorcerer Supreme should have been talking about.
‘He’s a monster,’ Wong thought.
He had lived for a very long time, but he had never seen anything like this.
“Shocking” didn’t even begin to cover it.
If he had to use modern slang, this was completely mind-blowing!
‘Who the hell is this guy?’ Stephen took a deep breath, his voice actually trembling a little.
His mind raced, trying to figure out the young man’s background, but he drew a complete blank.
If this really was his first time using magic, the Ancient One might need to seriously reconsider her line of succession.
While the two sorcerers were having an existential crisis, Holden simply willed the portal away.
The swirling golden gateway instantly vanished.
“If I remember correctly, the next one goes like this…” Holden muttered, furrowing his brow as he recalled the text from the ancient tome.
He extended both hands and swept them outward.
Instantly, the temperature inside the Sanctum plummeted.
‘Blizzard!’ Holden chanted silently.
The next second, a massive, glowing golden magic circle materialized near the ceiling of the library.
Blinding light washed over the room as everyone stared in wide-eyed disbelief.
Whoosh!
Snowflakes began to fall out of thin air.
Within the blink of an eye, the gentle flurry escalated into a raging blizzard.
Howling winds ripped through the library, sending loose papers and books flying in every direction.
The tourists gasped, their breath turning into thick plumes of white mist.
The gale was so fierce they had to hunch over just to stay on their feet.
In mere seconds, the comfortable room temperature plummeted well below freezing.
Before anyone could process what was happening, the entire grand library was buried under a blanket of furious, swirling snow.
Everywhere they looked was pure, blinding white.
Comment it and let me know.
