“What happened when you went through the amplification process, it shows here that your entire body was being enhanced with you subtle energy and your brain was almost an infinite generator of it for a short moment, but a lot of the information is almost incomprehensible even to me..” the commander said to Ethan as he stood next to her observing her screen.

On the screen was a scaled model of him with many lines that resembled the nervous and vascular systems in the human body with a gold hue coloring his head that slowly faded to blue as it went through the different lines within his body.

He explained to the captain the same way that he had explained to ace.Full novel: Aevum: The Birth Of Everything — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

After hearing his explanation the commanders expression went from that of confusion to understanding and then excitement, “That makes why there would be an infinite energy reading in that short period of time, if you were to guess how much time had elapsed when it slowed how long would you say you were in that state for?” The commanders expression went asked as she swiped the screen down that showed an exponential function next a a label titled ‘energy output’.

“I don’t know honestly I had started counting once I hit the ground and I lost count around 5,000 before I started losing consciousness how long was it from your perspective?” Ethan responded also curious about how much time had dilated for him.

Hearing this the captains eyes went wide in shock as the exponential function made even more sense now.

“Good god, 2 supreme recruits on a single team…

outside only a few seconds passed to us it looked like you simply hoped to your feet and directly collapsed, now that you’ve explained this to me I understand what happened and our system readings this should allow me to add an additional function to the quantum training lab as well.” The commanders expression went said as she pulled down another projected screen from the ceiling and began typing quickly.

“You are one of the time travel brat is that broke the world so you should be pretty smart, what happened is that you have the strongest energy source in your brain, and your severely underdeveloped body was not able to sustain the load of energy, as a result it was like your brain was a powerful jet engine trying to drag a large ship through a storm.

There was only enough power to go so far before the engine stalled, you will have to train your body A LOT if you want to make full use of your ability.

Luckily your energy is neutral so you shouldn’t have too much trouble absorbing and adapting to new energy sources the only problem is if you can’t sustain what you can already produce it would be like trying to add water to a dammed river, it could cause more harm than good.” The commander explained to Ethan who nodded in understanding looking at what the commander was pointing to on the screen.

Shortly after this Ethan and the commander finished speaking, while ace had began preparing the group to leave the facility.

While they were preparing to leave the walls of the entire facility lit up once more this time with a bluish gold color while the commanders eyes seemed to emit the same light.

After a short while the light began to fade and the crystalline structure the walls had changed to earlier now had a deep blue color with a subtle gold tent when viewed at certain angles.

“Ethan, Anne, you guys have already contributed more to the FBSA than some of out veteran members by simply allowing us to analyze and help awaken your abilities, if there is ANYTHING you need do not hesitate to come to me directly I will do everything in my power to make sure you and your team is taken care of.” The commander said as she wiped the sweat from her own forehead before swiping away the screens in front of her.

“You all have a good week I will see you in 7 days for re-evaluation.” She said as she waved while walking out of the section.

Seeing the commander leave Amanda looked at ace “Ace, what is your ability?” She asked extremely curious, he seemed to flaunt his power and nonchalantly interact with almost everyone they saw, she was in no way familiar with behavior like this being welcomed in any branch of the military but hearing he had a supreme level ability it had to be impressive for his behavior to be tolerated.

Hearing this a smirk crept on his face as he puffed his chest out, “I like to call it the voice of the world, I can hear and freely communicate with basically anything, through this ability, the world is like a second limb to me as well.

I’ve been able to receive lessons about energy control and manipulation from stars and black holes alike as well as a plethora of planets, I am also very close friends with a few it is an ability I was born with…

Ever since all of this started there are a lot more local voices I can hear, not all of them are getting along either.” Ace said as his face went from excitement to discontent as he listened to the commentary of their world whose voice had went from a single feminine voice to a mass of different voices fighting for dominance to be heard.

Hearing this the entire team was reasonably impressed, receiving lessons about energy from celestial bodies was beyond their imagination despite being in their current situation.

“If you don’t mind me asking how old are you?

Also, do you always hear the world, or do you like zone into what you want to listen to?

What kind of things do you hear from things and the world when they aren’t training you?” Ethan asked his curiosity ignited as he threw his backpack over his shoulder before turning to look at ace who was standing near the exit with his own bags in tow.

“I am 26 now, i will be turning 27 in November make sure to get your mentor a gift recruits, I know you are going to be getting paid well.

But it all really just depends sometimes they gossip to me about things I have no clue about and other times they give me information about the world local to me.

I used to not be able to turn it off until Sol made everyone be quiet so he could help me figure out how to, it turns out my ability to communicate back with them was causing a disturbance within the solar system because I couldn’t control it.” Ace explained as he looked around making sure the entire group was ready to head out.

“Wow, maybe this time travel mess is actually your fault if you were here disturbing the balance of the solar system before we were even born.” Jason said nonchalantly as he followed Ace out of the room they were in.

“About that, I might have made the first push on the boulder ahaha…

It’s actually part of the reason I am assigned as you guys team mentor, we have a much higher chance of figuring out if this is reversible or if we are working together.” Ace said as he scratched his head, and continued to lead the group out of the facility.

As the group was walking through the large football field sized corridor on their way out at the end of the corridor they could see a bright light flashing from one of the walls.

“That’s the commander, it looks like she is working hard finalizing the system upgrades she initiated.” I can’t wait to find out what new functions she will be able to actualize from the energy integrations, I actually helped her make one of the first upgrades to this facility a few years back with Gaia’s help in finding an extremely rare resource.” Ace said remembering one of his great achievements.

They quickly made it to the elevator where they discussed their next course of action deciding to go grab lunch before heading to their assigned training facility.

Just as they were exiting the elevator Ace recieved a call from Captain Aria.

“Ace I hear your team is full of supremes, how does it feel to have more people that could possibly put you in your place outside a few of the generals?” She jested as soon as the call connected.

“Yea, yea don’t get ahead of yourself you guys know I go easy because we’re on the same side.

Anyways what did you call for I’m sure it’s not just to annoy me.” He said back as he and the group walked towards the SUV they arrived in.

“The kings want you to have your team evaluated by Sol…

they want to know matter of factly who we will need to have contracted so we don’t end up with some annoyances on our back especially during this time.” Aria said hesitantly knowing how Ace was when it was about contacting specific entities.

“I’ll see what I can do, Sol is usually pretty busy I am sure I have told you guys this before so I will let you know who he says should be contracted when I speak with him, if that’s all we are going to get food at the sushi shop, if you want to join us you’re welcome to it is my treat.” Ace said slightly frustrated due to constantly being requested to speak with different celestial objects and entities.

“No thanks, we are super busy I am sure you saw what happened to Yuba city, as we speak the forest is slowly growing in the direction of Sacramento and Lake Tahoe, I might be going myself to ensure the safety of our scout teams.

Enjoy your lunch, if we can’t get this situation handled you know this will fall to one of your team’s responsibilities right?” The captain said and typing could be heard in the background.

“I am aware, let me know how things are going, Gaia is also pretty busy right now a lot has changed far beyond earth, I hear in the next hundred thousand years or so the constellation s will slowly start to fade, currently they are all somehow being absorbed by Gaia, Sol and the rest of our solar system and the massive influx of energy is making some of her systems run rampantly.

The more primordial existences have also reestablished their sovereignty within our solar system and have already separated themselves from this apparent energy merger.” Ace said as he noticed aria was typing knowing she would take notes and relay the message to the other kings.

“Thank you Ace, honestly in times like these without you I am sure our organization might already be engaged in proxy wars with other powers but no one wants to be on your bad side because there’s nothing worse than being left in the dark.

I will keep in with contact you as well so I can let the Kings know who we need to get a hold of.

I will see you.” She said before ending the call going back to the work she was doing.

As the call ended ace and his teal were getting into the SUV before Ace drove off heading off base to one of his favorite local sushi places.
