The phone rang, and Nan Zhi lowered her head to check the dormitory group chat.

Nan Zhi was about to reply with “okay” when someone hurriedly approached from the opposite direction, knocking her phone to the ground.

She was grateful she had been using her left hand instead of her injured right hand, or else it would have added insult to injury.

The person quickly apologized, “Sorry, I was in a hurry and didn’t watch where I was going!”

Nan Zhi bent down to pick up her phone and shook her head, responding, “It’s fine.”

“Hey, aren’t you Nan Zhi?” The girl, recognizing her, exclaimed in surprise, “Feng Sinian is about to confess on the sports field. Why are you here?”

“He never mentioned confessing to me,” Nan Zhi replied calmly, seemingly unsurprised. “We’re just ordinary friends.”

The girl, disbelieving, opened the campus forum. “Damn, I was heading to the confession scene. If it’s not you, then who is it?”

Nan Zhi was in a hurry to get volleyballs from the equipment room and walked straight past her.

“Wait, Nan Zhi,” the girl quickly grabbed her arm.

She had grabbed Nan Zhi’s injured right hand, causing Nan Zhi to wince and pull back.

The wound tore open from the tug, blood seeping through the fabric and staining it red.

The girl hadn’t expected her pull to injure Nan Zhi so badly and burst into tears, “I… I’m sorry!”

Nan Zhi frowned, enduring the pain as she was about to speak when a deep, clear male voice suddenly sounded behind her, “I’ll take you to the infirmary.”

She had only met Jiang Zhe once, but his voice left a lasting impression.

The girl stared blankly at the newcomer for a few seconds before snapping back to reality, “Who… are you?”

Jiang Zhe ignored her, his brow furrowed as he stared at her bleeding arm. “Let’s go.”

Nan Zhi nodded, “Okay.”

Feeling somewhat embarrassed, she turned her face slightly toward Jiang Zhe, “Sorry, President, for wasting your time.”

His voice was gentle and calm, “It’s fine. I just happened to be passing by, and I had nothing else to do anyway.”

The nurse treating Nan Zhi’s wound happened to be the same one from last time. She shook her head and sighed, “How did the wound reopen after just one day?”

After listening to the nurse’s instructions, Nan Zhi’s phone buzzed with a call.

It was Wan Xiaoshan. Nan Zhi answered with her left hand, “Hello?”

On the other end, the gym teacher’s voice roared, “Nan Zhi, still saying hello? Where have you gone to get the equipment? Class started ten minutes ago. Don’t delay the other students!”

Nan Zhi quickly moved the phone away from her ear, “I’ll be right back.”

After hanging up, Jiang Zhe asked her, “Do you need help? Your hand isn’t in good shape right now.”

Nan Zhi didn’t like owing favors, but given the circumstances, she had no choice but to ask for his help. She sighed silently, “Then I’ll trouble you, President.”

As they passed by the sports field, Feng Sinian’s confession ceremony had just begun.

Feng Sinian’s confession scene was romantically decorated, with the edges of the field crowded with onlookers.

To everyone’s surprise, however, the name Feng Sinian read at the beginning of his letter wasn’t Nan Zhi but “Wei Wei.”

The crowd fell silent for a few seconds before those who loved drama started whispering.

“I thought Feng Sinian’s confession would be for Nan Zhi. How is it someone else?”

“I think I saw Nan Zhi nearby earlier. Where is she now?”

“Could it be that she ran away after seeing her childhood friend confessing to someone else?”

“Haha, she must have been waiting with great anticipation, never expecting it wasn’t her!”

As Feng Sinian read the letter, his affectionate gaze remained fixed on Bai Wei standing at the forefront of the crowd.

Between the lines of his letter flowed the longing he had felt for Bai Wei over the past six months, vividly recounting the twists and turns of their relationship. Even many onlookers who had initially mocked Feng Sinian as a scumbag found themselves wiping their eyes, moved by the heartfelt words.

Bai Wei listened with reddened eyes, covering her mouth as tears of emotion fell.

Nan Zhi watched quietly, a knowing lift at the corner of her eye.

Feng Sinian’s confession was indeed for Bai Wei. Who would have thought they had rekindled their relationship?

After finishing the confession letter, Feng Sinian took the large bouquet of roses handed to him by his roommate and extended a hand toward Bai Wei. “Weiwei, come here.”

Under the envious gazes of the crowd, Bai Wei stepped onto the stage.

“In the six months you were gone, I kept thinking that as long as you were still in this world, no matter where you were, I would do everything in my power to find you. But fortunately, we’ve met again,” Feng Sinian knelt on one knee, presenting the bouquet to Bai Wei with both hands, his confession sincere. “Weiwei, let’s get back together.”

Bai Wei trembled as she accepted the flowers, her voice choked with tears. “Sinian, I’m willing.”

Feng Sinian stood up and joyfully embraced her, but his smile froze when he saw the person standing behind the opposite grid.

Nan Zhi stood there quietly, her calm, steady gaze meeting his slightly panicked eyes.

Although he had mentally prepared himself for the possibility of Nan Zhi witnessing this, he was momentarily stunned to see an unfamiliar, handsome young man standing beside her.

Others also noticed the shift in atmosphere and followed Feng Sinian’s gaze, spotting Nan Zhi as well.

“Wow, the childhood friend and the new flame are both here. This is going to be interesting!”

Bai Wei’s roommate couldn’t help but retort, “Bai Wei isn’t some new flame—she was Feng Sinian’s proper girlfriend!”

Other roommates chimed in, “Exactly, what does Nan Zhi matter? She’s just a childhood friend. Even if she’s known Feng Sinian for over a decade, if there were any sparks, they would have gotten together long ago!”

“Nan Zhi must feel like a fool now. Look at her expression—she doesn’t seem too happy.”

Under the varied stares of everyone present, Nan Zhi gave a symbolic nod toward Feng Sinian and turned to leave for the gymnasium.

Bai Wei also noticed Nan Zhi and tugged at Feng Sinian’s sleeve. “Sinian, I haven’t seen Nan Zhi in a long time either. Shall we go over together?”

Nan Zhi had intended to leave after a glance, but seeing Feng Sinian and Bai Wei approaching, she had no choice but to stay put.

Other students who had been about to disperse to watch the drama retreated, ready to witness the showdown.

As soon as Feng Sinian approached, his eyes lingered on Jiang Zhe. “Nan Zhi, who is he?”

Jiang Zhe spoke up at the right moment. “I’ll help you take the equipment over first.”

Ignoring Feng Sinian’s question, Nan Zhi nodded to Jiang Zhe. “Thank you, President.”

Just as Nan Zhi was about to leave, Feng Sinian stopped her. “Do you have any manners? I’m talking to you.”

Nan Zhi lifted the corner of her mouth faintly. “What do you want me to say? Congratulations on rekindling your old flame?”

Bai Wei couldn’t help but speak up. “Nan Zhi, we only reconnected last month. It was my fault for leaving without a word, and meeting Sinian again was just a coincidence.”

Nan Zhi’s tone remained flat. “Oh, I wish you a happy union for a hundred years.”
