Shen Wei suddenly laughed. At first, her laughter left Lu Cheng and Liu Qingqing looking confused, and soon it drew the attention of everyone in the Western restaurant.

“Miss, please don’t make too much noise…” a waiter stepped forward and gently advised.

Only after laughing until tears came out did Shen Wei slowly stop. “Lu Cheng, keep dreaming. I will never agree to a divorce. The two of you don’t ever think you can be together openly and legitimately.”Full novel: After Achieving Success and Fame I Married My Childhood Sweetheart After Being Reborn I Remarried Who Cares Who You Are — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Call her stubborn, call her someone who won’t turn back until she hits a wall why should the tree she planted be the one Liu Qingqing gets to enjoy the shade from?

“As long as I have the marriage certificate, Liu Qingqing, you will always be the mistress! The two of you are nothing but a pair of cheating adulterers!”

At that moment, her son, Lu Yuan, arrived.

He was seventeen this year, tall and thin. When Shen Wei saw him, her heart warmed, thinking he had come to stand up for her. But instead, he walked to stand between Lu Cheng and Liu Qingqing.

“Mom, have you made enough of a scene?” Lu Yuan looked at her with disapproval. “My dad and Aunt Liu are true love. You were never worthy of my dad in the first place. The more you make a fuss, the more embarrassing it is!”

He had always disliked Shen Wei she constantly disciplined him, forced him to attend a high school he didn’t want, and made him do chores he hated. Unlike Aunt Liu, who was gentle and kind, always buying him snacks and taking him to internet cafés to relax.

If his parents divorced, he would definitely choose to go with his father and Aunt Liu.

Shen Wei stared at the son she had raised with her own hands, unable to believe those words had come from her own child.

A sharp pain twisted in her chest, nearly making her lose her balance.

“You stupid idiot!”

After cursing her foolish son, Shen Wei clutched her chest and repeated, “As long as the marriage certificate is in my hands, keep dreaming!”

Lu Cheng looked at her back with some reluctance and was about to step forward to support her when Liu Qingqing grabbed him. “Shen Wei! Don’t leave just yet. There’s something else I haven’t told you. Cheng and I don’t need your consent to get married. He was just being kind by informing you because your marriage certificate is fake.”

Liu Qingqing spoke with complete confidence; she had never considered herself a mistress.

All these years, she had endured humiliation and let others misunderstand her. Now, she could finally say it out loud.

The marriage certificate was fake?

Shen Wei suddenly recalled seeing Li Na’s marriage certificate before it had two official stamps clearly indicating the issuing authority. But the stamp on her own certificate had always been unclear.

Lu Cheng had said it was because it had faded over time.

So that was the truth.

The pain in her chest grew even worse. Her entire life felt like a joke.

Finally, Shen Wei looked at Lu Yuan the last person in this world related to her by blood only to see him smiling from the bottom of his heart.

He said, “So the marriage certificate was fake. Dad, you and Aunt Liu can not only get married, you’re actually the rightful couple. Now Mom’s tantrums won’t affect anything.”

How unwilling she felt…

Shen Wei cast one last glance out the window. This Western restaurant was located on the seventeenth floor.

“Lu Cheng, after eighteen years of marriage, let me say one last thing to you.”

“Go ahead,” Lu Cheng said, feeling somewhat guilty. He thought that no matter how Shen Wei scolded him, he wouldn’t argue back consider it a final act of respect for their marriage.

With one hand on the floor-to-ceiling window and the other clutching her chest, Shen Wei said, “My stomach illness is acting up. Come closer so I can speak.”

Because of years of irregular eating while working hard, Lu Cheng knew Shen Wei had severe stomach problems, so he stepped toward her.

Thinking Shen Wei was trying to play pitiful to win Lu Cheng back, Liu Qingqing followed and stood in front of her, tightly holding onto Lu Cheng’s arm.

“Shen Wei, whatever you have to say, just say it to us!”

Shen Wei suddenly laughed. Gathering the last of her strength, she forcefully shoved both Lu Cheng and Liu Qingqing toward the huge floor-to-ceiling window.

The three of them fell together from the seventeenth floor. The sound of shattering glass rang in her ears, followed by the panicked screams of the crowd.

“Someone jumped!”

“It looks like three people jumped together!”

As they fell through the air, Shen Wei looked at them and curled her lips into a satisfied smile. “I wish you a happy wedding in the underworld!”

……

“ACheng, I won’t allow you to go on a blind date!”

A woman’s sharp voice rang in her ears. Shen Wei suddenly snapped back to awareness. In front of her, a man and a woman were pulling at each other it was a younger Lu Cheng and Liu Qingqing.

She had been reborn!

“Qingqing, stop making a scene!”

“Why are you going on a blind date with another woman? If you’re going to get married, why can’t it be me?” Liu Qingqing cried, tears and snot streaming down her face.

“I’ll say this one last time stop it.”

Nineteen-year-old Lu Cheng ruthlessly shook off Liu Qingqing’s hand and walked toward Shen Wei.

Why?

Because he had nothing he was poor, and he also had sick parents and younger siblings still in school.

He couldn’t marry a pampered only daughter from a dual-income family. The woman who married him would have to manage three meals a day, serve his parents, and take care of his siblings.

Qingqing couldn’t endure that kind of hardship, and he couldn’t bear to make her suffer either.

The girl he came to meet today, however, was very suitable. He had heard she was the orphan of a martyr, raised by relatives, and very capable. If he could marry her, not only would someone take care of the household, but her connections might even be useful in the future.

“No, no! I heard she’s just a wild child with no parents how is she worthy of you?”

Shen Wei clicked her tongue and stepped forward. “He’s just trash. What’s there to fight over? I’ll give him to you.”

Lu Cheng and Liu Qingqing were both stunned.

Trash? Who was she talking about?

“Comrade Shen,” Lu Cheng saw her turning to leave and quickly pushed Liu Qingqing aside, ignoring the fact that she fell to the ground. Anxiously, he said, “Please don’t go. I sincerely came to meet you. I want to build a family with you.”

He knew Shen Wei had grown up with her uncle and aunt, so she must deeply long for a warm family.

In her previous life, those very words had moved Shen Wei. But now, hearing them again, she raised her hand and slapped him.

“Lu Cheng, bringing your girlfriend to a blind date have you no shame?”

“You dare hit Brother Cheng?” Before Lu Cheng could speak, Liu Qingqing, who had fallen to the ground, jumped up and lunged at Shen Wei.

Shen Wei gave her a slap as well. “Don’t rush there’s plenty of slaps to go around. Following him to his blind date, and you still don’t get it? If a man won’t marry you, it means he doesn’t love you yet you still shamelessly cling to him!”

Those words made Liu Qingqing realize something. That’s right he kept saying he loved her, yet he was going to marry another woman, completely ignoring how jealous and hurt she felt.

“Alright, I’m not interested in you. Go do whatever you want. Coming out today for this blind date was really bad luck,” Shen Wei said coldly as she turned and left.

In truth, she was overjoyed inside.

She had been reborn!

In this life, she would never marry Lu Cheng again. Let’s see without her devotion, could he still rise to success like he did in the previous life?
