Military Headquarters.

“Adonis…”

His companions, Lurie and Conrad, saw him and approached with wide grins, slinging their arms around his shoulders. Lurie, who was more daring, reached out and touched Adonis’s body directly. “So, how is it? Is the feeling of having a male Lord truly miraculous?”Full novel: After Being Forced into a Marriage with My Empress Consort — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Unsurprisingly, his hand was swatted away immediately. Adonis was just like that; incredibly dull. Lurie curled his lip, while Conrad just stood by, smiling goofily.

“The Boss’s mood is much more stable today. He didn’t even hit your head. It seems yesterday must have been a very pleasant night.”

“You don’t need a brain to figure that out,” Lurie said sourly. “Look at how much he is smiling!”

Adonis touched his face. Was he really smiling? Sure enough, the corners of his lips were curled upward. He put on a serious expression and fiddled with his terminal to avoid the teasing of his two friends and subordinates.

Indeed, as Lurie said, he had always been a dull bug, a combat maniac. Aside from spending all day in the training room, he would go outside to compete, killing alien beasts to earn personal points and exchange them for contribution points. The terminal had always felt like a burden to him.

But now, it was different.

There was a small icon on the screen, signifying that his and Tracy’s terminals were deeply bound. From now on, Tracy could know his exact location and movements at any time and could contact him at will. However, Tracy was likely still sleeping in. Adonis felt it would be better not to disturb him with messages or photos.

“It seems our Major General is completely lost in love, having even forgotten about today’s competition.”

A voice tinged with faint sarcasm sounded out. Adonis didn’t need to look up to know who it was. The female, Connie, was a member of the Puster family and a strong contender for the position of commander of the First Legion. His rank had already reached Admiral; compared to Adonis, he appeared taller and more robust, and he was surrounded by countless supporters.

He had always viewed Adonis as a thorn in his side, all because he had witnessed his powerful individual combat capabilities. With a swing of a blade, he had seen countless alien beasts lose their heads under Adonis’s hand. Furthermore, the foundation of the Kelson family was very strong, and Connie held no advantage in terms of mech piloting. The mere thought of the competition two months from now made Connie anxious.

He watched Adonis’s relaxed expression with a sinister look. Doesn’t he suffer from male phobia? How did he manage to find a male Lord so easily? Moreover, judging by the scent of pheromones emanating from his body, they must have had intimate contact last night. No wonder his state was so much better today.

How can this be allowed?

“A routine training match with you could never compare to accompanying my male Lord,” Adonis replied, putting on his helmet and tightening the chin strap. He gave a look of disdain, not taking Connie seriously at all.

“Exactly, Admiral Connie. Don’t forget, the spot for your promotion to Admiral was one our Boss didn’t want. Now that you have picked up the scraps, keep your tail tucked and act like a bug; don’t come out here showing off. Be careful, or we will beat you into a pulp today!” Lurie stood behind Adonis, looking triumphant.

With Adonis’s support, Lurie felt emboldened. Adonis had been able to defeat Connie even while enduring psychic mania; with his state being this good today, they were sure to win all their points.

“Same old rules then. In today’s point battle, the loser’s points are cleared, and the winner’s points are doubled. The loser must make up whatever is lacking,” Connie said, not bothering to argue with Lurie. A mere Colonel was not worth his time. His only rival was Adonis.

“Fine,” Adonis said coolly. He had just spent all his contribution points, and since Connie was practically throwing money at him, he had no reason to refuse.

Adonis was followed by Lurie and Conrad, while Connie picked two of his own subordinates and walked into the training ground. Today, they were competing in hand-to-hand combat and marksmanship. As soon as Connie entered the arena, he stripped off his redundant combat suit, revealing the robust muscles he was so proud of. He circled the arena, looking triumphant, and provocatively glared at Adonis.

Face-to-face combat was his specialty. As a beetle-type, he could withstand most damage with his physical body. Adonis, of the mantis clan, was different; his physique was more slender, and his muscles were not as ostentatious; his abdomen, in particular, was their natural, soft vulnerability.

Seeing Adonis not stripping, Connie grew irritable. He provoked him: “Was it too intense last night? Are your legs soft today? Or is it that the male didn’t touch you at all, and you dare not reveal the marks on your body?”

More and more soldiers gathered in the combat arena; they were not about to miss such a spectacle, especially since observing such battles could help hone their own combat skills.

“Boss, why don’t I go instead?” Conrad asked with a goofy laugh. As a beetle-type, his melee combat skills were also quite good. Though his reactions were a bit slow and he was prone to getting beaten by Connie, he was more worried about Adonis making a fool of himself due to a lack of soothing from his male, which could affect his future rank promotion. After all, they all knew Adonis’s strength had long been enough for promotion to Major General, but the Judgment Mainframe had always suppressed his rank, citing the danger of his psychic instability.

If he failed to gain the recognition of his male this time, many of Adonis’s supporters would defect to Connie’s camp, which would lower his support rate and affect the subsequent vote for Legion Commander.

“It’s fine, I’ll do it.” Adonis’s reason for hesitating was not a fear of exposing his scars. After last night’s soothing, the originally ugly and hideous scars had already improved significantly due to his body’s powerful regenerative ability. In fact, what he had kept were the marks the male had carved into his skin.

Although it would only take a tiny bit of energy to heal them, Adonis had kept them all. This was what most females did. Receiving a male’s favor was, for a female, not only a symbol of his own charm but also a way to purge the excess male essence that disturbed his psychic sea. While those substances could provide energy to males, they were only harmful if accumulated in the female’s body for too long.

Before finding a male Lord, they had no choice but to use medical pods and other machinery for extraction. However, the feeling of cold, terrifying mechanical nano-needles entering the most vulnerable parts of their bodies was something no battle-hardened Zerg warrior wanted to experience a second time.

Therefore, when Adonis stripped off his outer robe and revealed his chest covered in love bites, the females present all gasped deeply.

“Are those kisses? That male actually kissed him?”

“My god, don’t males absolutely hate intimate contact with females? Many females are beaten until they pass out just to experience the male Lord’s tenderness in their sleep, but the Major General is clearly not like that.”

Although his wrists had traces of being bound, the colors were not dark, and the scars on his body were not overly prominent. Clearly, the male had punished him, but with great restraint; completely different from the excessive weakness everyone had guessed.

“He was loved and caressed well,” one female sighed with a touch of jealousy. “I really hope heaven grants me a female like that too!”

Adonis could capture the whispers within the combat arena with his keen hearing, but this envy did not make him feel satisfied or boastful. If he could, he would have wrapped this body up tightly, not allowing any bug to glimpse even a trace of Tracy’s marks.

A male Lord cannot be shared. Even though this thought was blasphemous, he was just that stubborn.

Adonis pursed his lips, cast the possessiveness out of his mind, and stepped over the heavy rope at the side of the field, walking into the combat zone.

Connie’s gaze also held a touch of jealousy. His first night had been much more miserable than Adonis’s. His male Lord was an A-rank male, and only after he had kneeled at the male’s feet and begged for a long time did the male reluctantly agree to start. He had been tied to a chair, and a vicious whip had been lashed down upon him, leaving him unable to recall what happened afterward. By the next day, he was completely wilted and took a week to recover.

His psychic sea had indeed improved, and he no longer suffered from psychic instability. Of course, online, he promoted the benefits of males heavily; after all, since he had tasted the pleasure, he had to let other females try it too. Moreover, males were so rare now that few females ever got the chance to experience the feeling of being treated. Other females would want to try it if they only had the chance.

Hearing that Adonis’s male was D-rank, Connie gloated, thinking that to gain a sense of security, the male must have whipped Adonis to death. He had expected Adonis to have to crawl to training today, but Adonis looked perfectly fine.

Connie set his combat stance and laughed viciously, mocking him: “Major General, you don’t look like you’ve been hurt?”

Facing Connie’s fierce lunge, Adonis moved lightly, causing him to miss entirely. Connie stared at him and spat on the ground.

“Your movement is not bad,” he paused and added, “but a D-rank male is truly trash. I had expected him to whip you until your legs went soft, but you’re still full of energy. How about I book a treatment pod for you today, big brother, to help you extract the excess male essence?”

Adonis did not pay attention to Connie’s lewd remarks. He loosened his limbs, feeling his psychic sea to be incomparably clear, and energy filled every part of his body.

The Tracy of yesterday had indeed been excessively gentle. But at times, he could also be incredibly assertive.

Adonis thought of that wave after wave of suffocating pleasure. He really couldn’t handle it; he had wanted to pull away the tail hook that was constantly draining his energy, wanting to push him away, but the male would instead gently caress his collar. The faint electric currents brought him back to clarity, while his hands, which had been trying to push the male away, would be grabbed and pinned above his head with one hand.

Despite being a D-rank male, their status had been reversed because of this.

The reason he could not resist was not just because his most vulnerable parts were constantly being occupied, but because he was willing, drowning in the male’s gentle gaze.

But a night of being suppressed was enough. Today, he would not hold back.

He slowly raised his head, staring at Connie as he launched another charge, but Adonis stayed exactly where he was.

Adonis, wearing nothing but his fragile skin that seemed as though it could be torn by a fingernail, bore the brunt of Connie’s strike head-on. But that was the only strike he would receive. With a flash of movement, he had firmly grasped Connie’s throat, and amidst the surprised gasps and cheers of the insects by the side of the field, he slammed Connie, who was like a mountain of meat, hard against the ground.

The crisp cracking sound made everyone’s teeth ache. Connie, who had been so arrogant, lay there twitching, his mouth clattering, and finally sprayed out a mouthful of blood.

After the referee announced the end of the match, Adonis walked to the side of the field, put on his shirt, pulled out a silk scarf, and wiped his fingers clean, one by one.

“Whether my male Lord is powerful or not does not need to be judged by you.”

He gave a look of disdain and threw the silk scarf onto Connie’s face: “But you, without a doubt, are a piece of trash.”
