Zhong Chu was currently deeply under the influence of Dr. Su’s so-called “study materials,” and her mind was filled with nothing but smutty thoughts.

She had clearly heard the content of An Yanqing’s words, but the moment An Yanqing spoke, she was affected whether by the sound of her voice or the nature of her words.

The erotic images that had been replaying on a loop in her mind earlier suddenly shifted; the face of the charming, passionate protagonist inexplicably transformed into An Yanqing’s familiar features.Full novel: After Being Forced to Marry My Sworn Enemy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Her usual cold expression was gone. Her brows were slightly raised, and her eyes were misty, looking toward Zhong Chu with a damp, blurred gaze. Her cheeks looked as if they had been flushed crimson by rising steam, and her elegant neck was arched back with force, like a taut bowstring that seemed as if it might snap at any second.

The camera panned down. Her graceful body lifted slightly, her hands clutching the bedsheets so tightly they left deep furrows in the fabric. Her knuckles were white from the exertion, and the blue veins on the backs of her fair hands stood out, as if she were immersed in the lingering afterglow of some memory from which she could not extricate herself.

That lazy moan that had made Zhong Chu’s heart race also transformed into An Yanqing’s voice.

The sound was slightly hoarse, like falling snow containing tiny crystals of ice. The snowflakes drifted down, only to be melted into a pool of spring water by Zhong Chu’s boiling, feverish thoughts.

As for the other protagonist in the frame, she let out a light chuckle in the lingering excitement after the peak. Her bare, smooth arms climbed up An Yanqing’s shoulders, coiling around her body like snakes.

Their limbs were intimately and inextricably entangled. The woman tilted her head, leaving dense hickeys along the curve of An Yanqing’s neck.

As the person moved, the quilt slipped down to her waist. Her smooth skin, just like An Yanqing’s, was covered everywhere in erotic red marks.

Dazed, Zhong Chu thought: How similar are these ambiguous, debauched marks to the string of red spots on the small of An Yanqing’s back caused by her allergy?

Right at that moment, the figure intimately entwined with An Yanqing pulled away. The woman looked up languidly, her eyes full of desire, leaning against An Yanqing’s shoulder while panting softly.

The face that had been covered by a waterfall of hair finally revealed one side. When Zhong Chu looked closely, she felt as if she had been struck by a bolt of lightning.

That was actually her own face!

The “spring water” was ruthlessly smashed by a giant boulder, as if it had struck Zhong Chu directly on the crown of her head. Accompanied by a deafening boom, water splashed everywhere, and the spring water vanished without a trace, revealing the real An Yanqing’s face in her normal state.

In reality, An Yanqing frowned slightly, her expression distant and cold. Her features looked as if they were shrouded in a thin layer of morning mist, obscuring her specific emotions.

Her voice was soft as she slowly repeated, “Zhong Chu, tonight we…”

Last time, An Yanqing’s words had dragged Zhong Chu’s consciousness to an unspeakable territory. This time, her opening of her mouth acted like an invisible “on” button pressed in the dark; Zhong Chu’s frozen body finally had some reaction.

She looked up blankly. The moment her eyes met An Yanqing’s in the mirror before An Yanqing could see her flushed face she hurriedly averted her gaze, her body jerking abruptly like a startled deer.

The small safe had originally been resting loosely on her lap. This instinctive physical reaction was something even she hadn’t anticipated. The safe was knocked off, rumbling as it rolled under the seat.

Zhong Chu didn’t rush to pick it up. Her hands had clenched into fists at some point. Her beautiful eyes were wide with disbelief as she murmured, “No… impossible, absolutely impossible!”

An Yanqing raised her eyebrows slightly and moved her body imperceptibly, as if she wanted to turn around to look at her, but she ultimately checked the movement.

She simply looked through the rearview mirror at Zhong Chu’s panicked, blush-stained face and asked calmly, “What is impossible?”

Zhong Chu’s mind was in a mess, and her chaotic thoughts instinctively followed An Yanqing’s question.

Was it impossible that she actually harbored erotic fantasies about An Yanqing regarding sexual matters?! Or was it impossible that, given her level of repulsion toward An Yanqing, she had actually subconsciously considered the absurdity of putting “going to bed together” on their schedule?!

Any one of these things, if pulled out, was something the old her would have never dared to imagine!

Zhong Chu’s worldview had suffered a severe impact and desperately needed time to recover. However, An Yanqing seemed to have run out of patience while waiting for her answer.

Her gaze pressed down on her as she asked again, “Zhong Chu, we’re almost home. Before we get there, we’d better reach a consensus as soon as possible.”

The mere presence of this woman was enough to make Zhong Chu flustered, let alone after that absurd association. Forget about taking the initiative to get close to her or staying in the same room and sharing a bed tonight.

Just thinking about those “not-so-wonderful” scenarios made her wish she could stay eight hundred meters away from her.

Her face turned red and pale by turns, her fists clenched, and her mood was atrocious. Naturally, her tone was no better: “No way, seriously? Is Big Star An so poor she can’t even afford a bed?”

An Yanqing found her sarcastic tone baffling. She folded her arms and lazily lifted an eyelid. “Miss Zhong, I didn’t intentionally provoke you. Why are you getting angry out of nowhere?”

Zhong Chu bit her lip and ignored her. She first bent down to pick up the small safe and held it before her eyes.

She inspected it carefully, making sure that despite the impact, the box was still intact. Only then did she pull out a tissue and slowly wipe away the dust, which was so faint it was almost non-existent.

Through these stiff, orderly movements, her thumping heart rate gradually slowed down. She forcibly expelled the ambiguous, erotic images from her mind. Once those ridiculous things were cleared away, the rationality that had been scattered by the massive shock finally returned to Zhong Chu.

She quietly gripped the box tightly, still feeling guilty in her heart, but she maintained a calm facade, glancing coldly at An Yanqing’s face in the mirror. “Do you even need to ‘intentionally’ provoke me? I get angry just looking at you.”

Hearing her string of illogical accusations, An Yanqing couldn’t help but curl her lips into a smile.

Her body relaxed as she looked at Zhong Chu’s face through the rearview mirror and said melodiously, “Then I am truly sorry, Miss Zhong. I’ll have to trouble you to bear with this ‘hateful’ face of mine a little longer.”

“After all, we have already registered our marriage. We are a little wife-and-wife pair recognized by our parents.”

Her voice contained a faint smile as her gaze brushed lightly over Zhong Chu’s face. Her tone was very light and soft, yet every word was articulated with absolute clarity: “In the future, we have plenty of time to be entangled.”

At the mention of this matter, Zhong Chu pushed the safe aside. Like a stressed cat with its fur standing on end, her guilt and defensiveness vanished, replaced by her familiar anger rising in her heart.

She let out a cold laugh, leaned forward, and grabbed An Yanqing’s collar from behind. “I wonder who it was that looked so pitiful last night, barely enduring the night on the cold floor.”

She used force with her hand. Although she was clutching the collar, the coordination of her arm and the neckline worked perfectly, acting like a thin rope that yanked An Yanqing’s neck backward.

“An Yanqing, you can make me suffer?” Zhong Chu leaned close to her face, her warm breath puffing against An Yanqing’s cheek. That overly soft and sensitive skin immediately turned completely red.

Yet An Yanqing’s expression remained calm. Her reddened earlobes were hidden firmly behind her hair. She struggled to turn her head; Zhong Chu was almost pressed against her cheek, her breath fluttering against her eyelashes, so close it seemed as if she might kiss her eyes in the next second.

Zhong Chu pressed down, her voice lazy and sweet, the slight upward lilt at the end of her words softening the provocative nature of her speech: “An Yanqing, I think tonight, you might not even get to sleep on the floor!”
