Nanny Wang: “…Miss Shen, y-you want to see the bedrooms?”

Yuetao had eaten her fill, and her mood was much better than before.

So she was a little less harsh with the nanny, too.Full novel: After Coaxing Beijing’s Elite Heir into Becoming a Placenta, She Ran Away Pregnant — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Nanny Wang, this is how I am: if you’re good to me, I’ll be twice as good to you. If you’re bad to me, when I’m in a good mood, I’ll be ten times as bad to you. When I’m in a bad mood, you’re dead!

“My daughter’s going down for a nap. Hurry up and show me the rooms. I’ll pick one to sleep in.”

Nanny Wang didn’t know whether Miss Shen really was a daughter of the Shen family, but from what she’d seen so far, she wouldn’t dare provoke her—not with that huge white dog around.

Until the masters of the house came home, staying alive was the priority.

“Miss Shen, please follow me.”

The villa was a detached, three-story house. There were two bedrooms on the third floor: one was Shen Wansong and Fang Xuelian’s master bedroom, and the other had been made into Shen Wansong’s study.

The floor below was where the Shen children’s rooms were. The room with the best light, the most space, and its own bathroom belonged to the Shen family’s darling, Shen Baozhu. The others belonged to the Shen family’s four young masters.

Yuetao stopped outside Shen Baozhu’s room and said to Nanny Wang, “Open this one.”

“Miss Shen, this room is indeed large, but it belongs to Miss Baozhu. There are guest rooms available, if you’d like—”

Yuetao smiled faintly. “Guest rooms are for guests. I’m the Shen family’s real daughter, so this room should be mine. Open it.”

Nanny Wang looked troubled.

“This is… It’ll be hard to explain to Madam when she comes home—”

Bang!

Little Niannian had already covered her ears.

The door that had been firmly shut a moment ago was now wide open.

Nanny Wang flinched in fright, almost dropping to her knees.

Yuetao carried Niannian into the room.

“Hmm, it’s not a bad size. Niannian, do you think Xiaotuanzi will like this room?”

Nanny Wang: “…Miss Shen, what do you mean?”

Yuetao whistled. Downstairs, the big snow wolf and the little one came running over—one raced up the stairs, while the other leaped straight from the living room to the second floor.

“Tuantuan, Tuan Mama, Tao wants to know if you like this room.”

“Awoo~”

“Awooo~”

The pink-cheeked little darling wrapped her arms around Mama’s neck and nodded her little head. “Mama, Tuantuan and her mama both like it a lot.”

“Good. Then Tuanzi and Tuantuan can rest here. Datuanzi, once you’ve rested, go find Goudan and see how things are going over there.”

“Awoo~”

Old Madam Shen had just recovered from her fright and was about to take advantage of the big white dog’s absence to hurry back to her own room. She’d only taken two steps, leaning on her legs, which had gone completely numb, when she heard the beast howl. Her legs gave way, and she dropped hard onto the floor.

She let out a cry, but didn’t dare make a sound. She clamped both hands over her mouth.

Nanny Wang was uneasy, worried that the masters of the house would blame her, but she didn’t dare refuse Miss Shen with that imposing white dog there.

Compared to her life, losing her job didn’t seem like such a big deal.

“Nanny Wang, hurry and put fresh sheets, blankets, and pillows on the master bedroom upstairs. And bring two clean, new bath towels. Once we’ve showered, my daughter’s going down for a nap.”

After Yuetao’s earlier door-kicking and the big white dog’s show of force, Nanny Wang obediently did as she was told.

She briskly replaced all the bedding in the master bedroom with fresh linens.

Yuetao looked everything over with satisfaction and nodded at Nanny Wang. “All right, you can go.”

Nanny Wang hesitated, as if she wanted to say something, but in the end she held her tongue and left the room.

Mother and daughter showered in the bathroom, changed into clean, comfortable clothes from their luggage, and lay down together on the luxurious bed.

“Damn it, those two bitches really know how to live it up.”

The bed was surprisingly comfortable.

A little foot suddenly pressed against Yuetao’s mouth.

Yuetao’s eyes flew open. “Shen Chunian?”

“Mm, Taotao, you mustn’t swear. You’ll teach your precious Niannian bad habits.”

“Shen Chunian, you actually put your stinky little foot over my mouth? You’ve gotten pretty bold.”

The little girl blinked. “Taotao, look. Niannian’s little hands were busy, so I had to use my little foot.”

Yuetao moved the chubby little foot away from her mouth. The little girl had both pudgy hands over her own eyes.

“Why are you covering your eyes?”

Niannian said, “If it’s dark, I’ll fall asleep faster.”

“Don’t give me that, you little thing. You just wanted to put your stinky foot on Mama’s mouth, so you came up with a terrible excuse. You little piggy—you always fall asleep the second you lie down.”

“Hehehe…”

The little girl parted two fingers and giggled at Yuetao, who was pretending to be angry.

“My fairy Mama is so clever! You knew Niannian’s trick right away. So clever! Only Niannian has a Mama who’s both so beautiful and so smart~”

“You little rascal. You get a pass this time. Go to sleep.”

“Mm-hm. Good afternoon, Taotao~”

As soon as the little girl finished speaking, she closed her eyes, and her breathing soon evened out.

She really had fallen asleep in an instant.

She’d only played around with Yuetao for a little while because everything in this new place felt exciting.

With the little one asleep, Yuetao lay in bed and thought back to what her masters had written in their letter.

In the Shen family, only the four brothers who shared her mother Shen Xi’s blood were worth saving. Everyone else was an enemy.

She’d read plenty of novels and watched plenty of TV dramas—and all those ridiculous short dramas, especially the ones about real and fake daughters. Every time she watched one, she felt like the author was insulting the readers’ intelligence. The characters were all so stupid, as if they’d suffered an eighty-year-long blood clot in the brain, even though they were young and successful.

She wondered if the Shen brothers were that kind of idiot.

If they were, she’d just… wipe them out!

No, better to break their legs and toss them aside to recover. If they all kicked the bucket, their real mother would see them in the afterlife and be angry enough to die all over again.

Her mother had suffered enough already. If her sons couldn’t shape up, then her own daughter would have to discipline them on her behalf.

Mm. That settled it.

“Old Madam, don’t worry. I’ve already called Madam, and she said she’ll be back soon. You want me to lock the door? All right, I’ll lock it for you. Try to get some rest.”

The voices downstairs carried up. Yuetao’s mouth twisted.

Rest? What a joke.

That old woman had surely played no small part in her mother’s death. Now that Shen Yuetao had returned to this home, from the moment she stepped inside, no one in it would know peace.

And they thought they could rest?

Heh heh heh~

Yuetao let out an evil laugh, got out of bed, and used a pillow to shield the little darling. Then she shut the door and went downstairs.

Old Madam Shen had just lain down on the bed.

Crash!

The tremendous noise sent her frail old body bouncing right up off the bed.
