After exiting the dimensional space, Nangong Li lay on the cushion.

His mind was conscious as he listened to Feng Qianqian saying, “Big dark fellow, listen well. When this Divine Physician makes a move, the fee is worth ten thousand gold. Your jade pendant and silver will count as the consultation fee. Your poison has been neutralized, but after years of poisoning, your five viscera are severely damaged. I’ll give you three more bottles of medicine—take three pills daily until they’re finished. This is to help treat you.”

She placed the medicine in Nangong Li’s hand.Full novel: After Curing the Prince, He Insisted on Becoming My Underling — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Feng Qianqian stood up and suddenly sensed a wave of killing intent approaching—no fewer than fifty people.

She turned to look at Nangong Li. “Big dark fellow, did I owe you in my past life? I just saved you, and now assassins are here to kill you. There are so many of them—they’re determined to end you. You’re really done for.”

Nangong Li’s heart sank into despair. He resigned himself to fate. He hadn’t died from the cold poison attack, but the assassins would surely claim his life here. No matter how skilled the little demoness was in medicine, she couldn’t handle so many people. He didn’t want to drag Feng Qianqian down and wished she would run. But he couldn’t wake up, only able to fret helplessly. He didn’t know what medicine the little demoness had given him—his body was immobile, leaving him at their mercy.

Suddenly, several masked assassins landed about ten meters away from Nangong Li.

One mocked, “Brothers, we’ve been searching in circles for half the day, and who would have thought he was hiding here? Is he playing dead? He was so arrogant when he killed so many of our brothers earlier!”

Another chimed in, “Playing dead won’t help. We need to bring his head back to report, or our master won’t believe us. Why is there a woman here? And such an ugly one at that. Ugh! Being ugly is one thing, but coming out to scare people at night…”

The black-clad leader shook his head helplessly. “Truly desperate—who would have thought his taste was this poor, to fancy such a thing. Well then, let’s grant their wish and make them a pair of fugitive lovers.”

Hearing this, Feng Qianqian burned with anger. “Such a thing”? If she didn’t act, they would both die. She had even forgotten to retreat into the dimensional space.

She retorted, “You’re the ugly one! Your whole family is ugly!”

A smirk curled at the corner of Feng Qianqian’s lips. With a wave of her hand, an AK-95 rapid submachine gun appeared in her grasp.

She openly brandished the gun. When death was imminent, what was there to fear? If she kept hesitating, they would only be waiting to die. If these forty or fifty people attacked together, they could chop her into mincemeat.

A leading black-clad figure commanded, “Brothers, charge!”

The others raised their swords, assuming a charging stance.

“Stop!” Feng Qianqian shouted.

The assassins, who had just taken a step forward, retreated.

“What now?” the leader snarled, his eyes blazing with fury. “Since when do we call timeouts during a kill?”

She waved excitedly toward the area behind the black-clad assassins, calling out, “Big brother, we’re over here!”

The black-clad men frowned, unanimously concluding that the two had reinforcements. They turned their heads in unison to look.

“There’s no one there—she tricked us!” Only after turning did they realize they’d been duped.

“Thinking of killing us? This grandma will finish you off first!”

Killing intent radiated from Feng Qianqian’s entire being, like an Asura from hell, a bloodthirsty smile playing on her lips.

She raised the submachine gun and pulled the trigger. “Rat-a-tat-tat…” She began spraying bullets wildly at the assassins.

The submachine gun roared like an enraged beast, unleashing its fury without restraint.

From its muzzle, angry tongues of flame spat forth, tearing through the air.

A continuous stream of incendiary bullets poured forth like a violent storm, tracing scorching trajectories straight toward the black-clad assassins.

They tore the darkness of the night sky to shreds, instantly igniting everything around them.

Feng Qianqian’s arrogance was utterly brazen: “Come on, come kill me! Let’s hurt each other!”

The men stood frozen in place, their bodies jolting violently as the bullets, as if guided by eyes, pierced straight through them.

Gushes of blood sprayed out. Thump, thump—they fell to the ground one after another, dead.

Some assassins tried to flee, but in the face of this overwhelming, tide-like firepower, martial arts seemed so feeble and powerless.

The assassins who had pursued her later were filled with righteous indignation. “Kill her! Be careful of the thing in her hands!”

A few swung their blades at Feng Qianqian.

Feng Qianqian roared, “Bastards, go to hell!”

“Rat-a-tat-tat…”

Seeing the situation turn dire, someone tried to escape, leaping into the air with a single foot push. But just as they rose four or five meters, they were struck by bullets. With a heavy “thud,” they crashed back to the ground, lifeless.

Birds in the forest fluttered and took flight…

The submachine gun continued at full throttle, becoming reckless and unrestrained as it swept across them in a frenzy—truly exhilarating.

Wispy trails of blue smoke rose from the muzzle, and bullet casings clattered to the ground.

Soon, all the black-clad assassins lay fallen. The air was thick with the smell of gunpowder smoke and the stench of blood.

The mountain forest returned to its former tranquility.

Feng Qianqian scanned the fallen assassins. “Traveling far from home, you must have some silver on you.

I’ll take your lives, and I’ll spend your silver!”

She walked toward the black-clad assassins, reaching into their clothes and rummaging around.

“Here’s a silver ingot!” she exclaimed excitedly.

Hearing the assassins fall silent, Nangong Li’s hand twitched slightly, and his anxious heart finally settled.

He knew all those black-clad men were dead.

He had no idea what weapon the little demoness had used, but its lethality was immense.

He marveled: This is too incredible. Even if I faced forty or fifty elite shadow guards, I couldn’t eliminate them all in such a short time.

When he heard “I’ll spend your silver,” Nangong Li’s face darkened.

He was utterly speechless: Is this even a woman? She’s doing the work of looting corpses. How much silver could a shadow guard possibly carry?

This prince still has over a dozen silver notes in his money pouch. She’s even after such petty cash—truly greedy.

With her skills, she shouldn’t lack for silver.

He couldn’t understand it.

The night was quiet, and even the slightest sound in the mountain forest was clearly audible.

As Feng Qianqian looted the corpses, she muttered to herself, “I’m going to get rich, I’m going to amass wealth rivaling a nation, and then I’ll find a perfect husband to massage my back and legs for me…”

Listening, Nangong Li thought she was quite self-reliant. For a woman to have such ambitions was truly rare.

But hearing the latter part, he thought to himself: Who knows which unlucky fellow will marry her? If he does, he might as well not live—better to just die…
