Su Qingqing climbed into Chu Yunhan’s luxury car. Watching the two of them from nearby, several onlookers shook their heads at her frail frame, looking as though a sudden gust of wind could knock her over.

Pleased that she had not resisted, Chu Yunhan drove off toward the gathering at the villa without another word.

Su Qingqing had made up her mind. Staying in the dorm meant enduring his endless harassment, and even if she managed to dodge him this time, the Plot Lord would simply correct course and dump the blame on her head anyway.Full novel: After Disguising Herself as a Man, She Discovers Her Roommate Is the Male Lead [Transmigration] — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She might as well face it head-on. According to the original novel, the original host had indeed attended this party, though she had gone willingly with Chu Yunhan rather than under duress. Back then, Chu Yunhan had brought her along intending to prank her, though whether he actually succeeded was never revealed.

The original plot revolved entirely around the male and female leads, leaving no one to care about the cannon fodder supporting role.

The gathering was where the two leads had their first real interaction, finally prompting the male lead to take the female lead’s relentless pursuit seriously. Naturally, the original host must have tried to stir up trouble, only for her schemes to backfire and push him to see the female lead in a new light.

Remembering Chu Yunhan’s icy glare, Su Qingqing shuddered. Having his full attention was truly terrifying.

The rushing wind made her ears ache the entire way, especially as they neared the river. The fierce gusts made her question her life choices. Behind them, several immature young men drove limited-edition convertibles, howling into the gale. Chu Yunhan let the wind toss his hair into disarray, a smirk playing on his lips as if reveling in the unrestrained thrill.

Passersby turned to stare, shaking their heads in disapproval at their antics.

Su Qingqing was at a loss for words. She wished she could bury her face in her hands, utterly mortified.

Chu Yunhan noticed her expression. He had expected her to feel proud to sit in his car, but a quick glance revealed she actually looked embarrassed. He raised the convertible roof, finally sparing Su Qingqing the painful gusts against her face and allowing her to stop squinting.

This was the first time Chu Yunhan had ever been treated with disdain. Men and women alike usually bragged and took immense pride in having any connection with him.

“Su Qingqing, are you looking down on me?” he asked, irritated.

Too tired to entertain him, she replied, “Focus on the road.” She had no desire to lose her life again.

Priding himself on his ego, Chu Yunhan stomped on the gas in irritation, wanting to scare Su Qingqing and hear her scream in terror.

Instead, she calmly reminded him, “Are you heading to a party or the police station?”

Chu Yunhan fell silent.

He slowed back to a normal speed while Su Qingqing remained completely unfazed. In the novel, Chu Yunhan only showed gentleness to the female lead, treating everyone else with barely any patience.

Behind them, wild whooping echoed down the road. Even with the windows rolled up, she could clearly hear the group trailing behind them in their cars, yelling their lungs out. Keeping the windows shut at least spared her from the gawking pedestrians, saving her from dying of second-hand embarrassment.

Chu Yunhan simmered in silence until they pulled into the villa’s underground garage. Turning toward the passenger seat, he prepared to lose his temper, but the sight of her slender, delicate wrists instantly deflated his anger.

As he stared at her fair, slender neck, Su Qingqing opened the door and stepped out first.

Looking back at him through the window, she noticed him staring blankly in her direction. “Chu Yunhan?” What was he spacing out for?

Chu Yunhan got out of the car with an amused scoff. “Why does your skin look softer the more I look at you? You don’t look like a guy at all.”

He almost wanted to pinch her cheek to see if it would leave a mark.
