Yun Yang did not understand at first.
It was only after meeting Qin Mo’s eyes, which held a trace of anticipation, that she realized what he meant.
She had already said it, so Yun Yang was not about to change her mind now. She readily put away the Zerg core, then held out her hand toward Qin Mo.
“Carry me to the bathroom.”
“Consider it done!”
Qin Mo was practically frantic with impatience. He immediately scooped her up into his arms and hurried toward the second floor, taking three steps at a time.
With her arms around his neck, Yun Yang could not help laughing as she was jostled. “Slow down.”
Qin Mo made it clear that slowing down was simply not an option.
He was already in his rut. Fearing that he might hurt his Female Master, he had even given up their first time to that wolf pup Xuan Yu. How could he possibly hold himself back now?
If only his beast form had the advantage, he would have loved nothing more than to fly straight back to their room with his Female Master!
After rushing into the room, they both took a shower, and Qin Mo eagerly pulled Yun Yang onto the bed.
Of course, Yun Yang was the one who actually lay down.
The room’s lights automatically dimmed, and a barrage of heated kisses rained down.

“Looks like you’re here with bad intentions?”
Xuan Yu made no attempt to deny it. “Someone wants to see you. They offered a very generous reward.”
“A bounty hunter?” Fu Shiyi became somewhat interested. “Before taking the job, did you look into my abilities?”
His answer came in the form of frost spreading from beneath Xuan Yu’s feet.
The frost spread with astonishing speed, freezing everything in its path.
Had Fu Shiyi not reacted quickly enough, he would have become one of those frozen in place as well.
He unfurled a pair of golden wings and hovered in the air, looking down at Xuan Yu with an indifferent gaze.
When their ability ranks were comparable, a terrestrial beastman was no match for an avian beastman.
Distance was the greatest obstacle for terrestrial beastmen.
But Xuan Yu had come prepared.
Within the barrier that confined supernatural abilities, no matter how capable Fu Shiyi was, he could not fly beyond Xuan Yu’s attack range.
Unless Fu Shiyi’s ability rank had reached SS-rank or higher.
That was, of course, impossible. After all, before coming here, Xuan Yu had thoroughly researched this Federation’s chief combat mech designer.

“Once, Xuan Yu took on a commission near the 23rd Legion’s base and was detected by the military’s scanners.”
“Ordinary beastmen aren’t allowed to approach military bases, so the commander sent me to find out what was going on. Xuan Yu thought I was trying to stop him from completing his commission, so the two of us ended up fighting.”
That was the first time Qin Mo had ever suffered a defeat at the hands of a beastman of the same rank.
Xuan Yu’s ability sounded quite ordinary, but in his hands, he could make it do all sorts of incredible things.
At the time, Qin Mo found it hard to imagine that the person he was facing was really nothing more than a simple ice-type ability user.
And that was the end of it.
After losing to Xuan Yu and learning that Xuan Yu had not been there to spy on the military, he slunk back to the base.
Qin Mo would never tell Yun Yang that part.
But even without him saying it, Yun Yang could already guess something from his reaction the first time he met Xuan Yu.
She did not press him further. Instead, she took Qin Mo outside for a walk to help with digestion, then settled down at home to absorb Zerg cores.
Yesterday, Yun Yang had unlocked a new way to multitask: browsing StarNet while absorbing Zerg cores.
Her smart terminal could track changes in her pupils and automatically scroll down or turn the page according to her browsing progress, so she could happily surf the net without moving a finger.
StarNet was especially lively today.
Yun Yang opened the most popular discussion topic, then took out a Zerg core and began absorbing it as she read.

She looked down at the white tiger in his reduced beast form, curled up on her lap. “Qin Mo, do you know Fu Shiyi?”
The little white tiger flicked his tail. “I suppose you could say I do. He designed all the combat mechs used by the military. I’ve met him a few times before.”
“Then do you know what he’s like?”
Yun Yang’s follow-up question immediately put the little white tiger on high alert.
His father had told him that if a female was interested in a male, there was a good chance she wanted that male to become her beast husband.
The Female Master’s five beast husbands weren’t even all here yet, and she was already interested in that Fu Shiyi guy?!
