The exterior aluminum-alloy steel-reinforced protection of the military modified mecha vehicle could withstand attacks of ten-million-ton magnitude, and its double-layered, flawless bulletproof glass was impregnable. Once attacked, the emergency response function would trigger, and the hidden compartments in the vehicle’s floor would react rapidly to generate a protective shield.

The driver’s seat was designed to be narrow and compact, with complex black, white, blue, and purple control buttons on the center console. Inside the flashing screen, with the vehicle as the center point, living creatures within a ten-meter radius could be identified in real-time. Under combat status, it could transform into a basic ant-form mecha to fight and attack. The spacious rear seats could comfortably seat four adults without any issues, with the sole drawback being that the leather hard seats were rough on the backside.

Only their vehicle traveled smoothly, while the remaining Alliance military alphas were left behind to handle the “homicide” scene.Full novel: After Faking My Death, My Unhinged Archenemy Dragged Me Back to Kiss Me — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

However, the atmosphere inside the car did not ease up because of Helin Zhou’s attempt at conversation, and the Crown Prince suffered a cold-shouldered silent treatment.

Shi Yixing turned his head to look out the window at the desolate, pitch-black night view, clutching a bag of snacks in his arms with both arms and remaining silently mute.

“Didn’t you see they had guns? Are you deaf? Couldn’t you run? Couldn’t you shout? Shi Yixing, are you truly not afraid of death?”

Helin Zhou’s gaze landed on Shi Yixing’s half-profile, which resembled a dirty little calico cat hidden beneath his thick bangs. The tip of his light grey rabbit fur was missing a small patch, and the straight, soft hair curled like scorched egg-drop rolls. Up close, he could even catch a faint, burnt scent of gunpowder lingering in the air.

The little rabbit was far more capable of fighting than he had imagined; fighting multiple opponents without any protective measures and coming out completely uninjured.

He had truly underestimated him.

Receiving no response, Helin Zhou lost his patience as well. Reaching out, he grabbed the fluffy rabbit ears hidden within the white-gold strands of hair, pinching the base of the pink ears to twist and pull them.

“Ah—! Damn it, Helin Zhou, are you out of your mind?!”

With his ears pulled in pain, Shi Yixing’s center of gravity shifted off-balance, and his body slammed directly into Helin Zhou’s embrace. His face buried itself against the broad, rising and falling chest, and his hands gripped the muscular arm that was a full circle thicker than his.

Helin Zhou’s other large palm covered the back of his neck, locking tightly over his gland. Rubbing the “scorched” rabbit ears, his gloomy, disciplinary tone grew deep:

“What a pity. If that bullet had hit your skull, you rabbit cub could have made a direct trip to the Western Paradise.”

Shi Yixing had zero spare energy left to retort to Helin Zhou’s words… His gland was practically being rubbed until sparks were about to fly.

Of course, it was naturally fine for an alpha to touch another alpha’s gland like this, but fucking hell, he was an omega! Furthermore, he was an omega with a 98% compatibility match with this jerk!!

The alpha’s fake plain water pheromone was pitifully weak, but it was enough to pass for the real thing; ordinarily, he relied on the medication prescribed by Yao Tao to mask his omega pheromone.

However… that still couldn’t change the fact that his gland *** remained an omega’s!! How could it possibly withstand this kind of… touching.

Shi Yixing’s body temperature skyrocketed instantly. Flushing red with heat, his propped-up arms were pressed back down, and as he scrambled blindly to grab the giant palm resting on his gland, his wrist was reverse-twisted and pinned behind his back.

“Let go… stop touching my gland. Even a blind person can see that Major General He… not only has a screw loose, but is also a pervert.” His soft, light, and tender tone was as sweet as honey, lacking all its previous edge and adding a few extra parts of fragile, submissive softness.

Helin Zhou froze for half a second. Releasing his hand from rubbing the edge of his gland, his palm shifted to the front, the crook of his thumb clamping under his chin while his thumb and index finger sank into the soft flesh of his two cheeks to pinch them lightly. His deep pupils rippled, freezing once more.

The white-gold strands of hair at Shi Yixing’s forehead scattered in a few loose strands. His damp, moist eye sockets brimmed with sparkling pink, and his red-agate-like pupils contained a layer of watery mist as the outer corners of his eyes drooped wetly. Shattered, yet somewhat aggrieved? The small scars on his cheekbones had healed into seams, and the grayish-black dust had stained the little rabbit’s fair, tender face black.

Pitiful… yet also cute.

Helin Zhou’s throat rolled, his fingertips brushing past the trace of moisture resting upon the small mole at the outer corner of his eye: “What are you crying for?”

Who is crying?! Isn’t it all because of you, you idiot Helin Zhou? I curse you to choke on cold water, have no toilet paper when you go to the restroom, eat instant noodles without seasoning packets, and always have people cut in front of you in line. You’d better have your two eyeballs take turns standing guard while you sleep tonight!

The sensitivity and vulnerability of the omega that had just been caressed were exposed without a reservation at this moment, and his physiological tears poured outward uncontrollably.

Crying all the while, he instinctively drew closer to Helin Zhou, his head moving out of control toward the alpha’s back-neck gland, guided by that faint, lingering trace of tequila pheromone.

Uncharacteristically, Helin Zhou allowed him to approach, his palm naturally supporting the hollow of his waist to prevent him from falling off, while tightening his long arms like a spellbound man to cage the little rabbit securely. He gave Shi Yixing free rein to kiss and bite against his neck…

“Major General, we’ve arrived.”

“Bang!”

Helin Zhou snapped back to reality instantly, his body reacting with physical action a step ahead of his consciousness…

“Ah-gvk… mhm”

A dazed Shi Yixing was flung outward, crashing against the car door before his body rebounded and he tumbled awkwardly onto the vehicle’s floorboards, collapsing right at Helin Zhou’s feet.

FUCK.

Shi Yixing winced in pain… shaking his dizzy head, before he could even crawl back up or figure out the situation, an unmasked, cold wave of disgust and mockery sounded from directly above his head:

“Rabbits really are cheap, promiscuous, and love to seduce people getting aroused just from being touched a couple of times. Not even picky about whether it’s an alpha or an omega, are you really that desperate for anything? Shi Yi Xing.”

Shi Yixing sat up, his rabbit ears trembling with anger. Even with reason on his side, he had nowhere to argue it, forcing him to swallow this grievance and gulp down this bitter pill:

“Since Major General He hates rabbits so much, please mind your boundaries. Thank you for your kind intention in bringing me back, goodbye!”

The hand placed upon the car door was pressed down as Helin Zhou issued a warning: “Do not mention tonight’s events to anyone, including Xiaze Zetian. Do you hear me?”

“Clack-!”

The car door slammed shut fiercely, and the slender, thin figure of Shi Yixing carrying his bag of snacks morphed into a tiny dot, vanishing into the very end of the dormitory building.

Spanning roughly 20 hectares of open training grounds within the Alliance Military Academy, the open-air grounds were bathed in sunlight across verdant lawns. Amidst a dense sea of heads, red silk ribbons fluttered and rippled before the towering podium elevated several yards high.

A row of leaders and generals dressed in black military uniforms sat with postures as straight as pine trees, numbering precisely twelve people sitting to fill the entire row.

Seated right in the middle, the man with sword-like brows and an oppressive, overwhelming aura was none other than Helin Zhou. Casually flipping through a thick stack of documents in his hands, he perused them with an air of indifference.

Seated in an equally central position was the nearly fifty-year-old military academy principal, an S-class mutant red-love-butterfly alpha.

His well-tailored military uniform draped over a rounded, altered physique still looked somewhat comical. His eyes curved into crescent slits with a smile; forever benevolent and wearing a kind expression, he responded to every student’s request without exception.

He privately funded two-thirds of the students who couldn’t afford tuition out of his own pocket, devised various methods to distribute bonuses to students—rewarding good grades, encouraging poor grades, and stabilizing mediocre grades.

Even the chipped paint on the school training grounds was personally filled in by him with his own hands. Flawless in the eyes of the students, a good principal in the eyes of parents—Qin Dongrong.

He was also a former comrade-in-arms who had retired from the Alliance military due to injuries and been personally promoted by Helin Zhou’s father.

Xiaze Zetian sat on the other side of the principal, his gaze lingering fixedly on the name “Shi Yixing” on the first page of the documents, refusing to move away for a long time.

“Will all students please put on your monitoring bracelets and line up in order according to your numbers, and wait.”

The broadcasting voice of the female arena-control alpha echoed out from the pitch-black speaker cylinder.

Beneath the stage, a noisy, bustling murmur of voices rose from the crowd of young, tender alpha faces each and every one of them excited, nervous, and thrilled as they awaited the first round of elimination matches.
