When Su Chengning returned to the hotel, dusk had just begun to fall.

To deal with Tang Chen, he had spent a considerable amount of time, to the point that when he finally walked out of the conference room under Tang Chen’s grim gaze, he could deeply feel the resentful eyes directed at his back.

Su Chengning opened the door to his hotel suite in a pleasant mood. The air seemed to be infused with a faint, lingering fragrance.

His gaze swept across the room one by one, finally discovering a bouquet of flowers in a vase that hadn’t been there before.

The flowers were arranged very freshly and beautifully; various vibrant and full blooms were skillfully paired together, vying to radiate their beauty and scent.

The bouquet wasn’t there when he left in the afternoon, and hotel staff are not permitted to alter a guest’s room without permission.

Thus, following the floral scent, he quickly discovered a mobile phone that had been carefully placed in a corner to charge.

No wonder this fellow didn’t reply when he sent Tang Mo a message.

Su Chengning walked over and glanced at the battery display on the phone; it was only at 15% charge, evidently having only been plugged in for a short while.

There were several unread messages on the screen, one of which was the one he had sent.

He scanned the entire suite and found no sign of Tang Mo, except for the tightly closed bathroom door.

Su Chengning chuckled softly; it seemed this kid was quite obedient to his words.

He took off his suit jacket and hung it aside. He loosened his somewhat restrictive tie but did not remove it.

The Su Chengning who was abstinent and cold in the outside world suddenly became somewhat lazy and casual.

He poured himself a glass of red wine and stood before the massive floor-to-ceiling window to appreciate the afterglow of the setting sun.

The sunset slowly dipped below the horizon, casting a patch of warm orange light over the man, while in the distance, scattered starlight could be seen dotting the bustling city.

When Tang Mo emerged from the bathroom, he saw a slender and tall figure standing exceptionally radiant against the backdrop of the sunset, as if all the sunlight had been absorbed by the man, leaving only darkness in the surroundings.

The man was the only light source in the world; under that shimmering glow, his vision could only hold that one cold and transcendent figure.

The slight sound behind him interrupted Su Chengning’s mood for admiring the evening scenery. He slowly turned around and raised his nearly empty glass of red wine toward the stunned young man.

“You took your time with that bath.”

He had been sipping shallowly and had almost finished the wine.

His well-shaped lips bore a faint red stain from the wine, tinting them a deep, alluring red.

Tang Mo’s gaze was instantly captured by them; those slightly parted lips seemed to be complaining: You are so slow, I’ve grown anxious waiting.

His prominent Adam’s apple rolled up and down due to his subconscious; Tang Mo felt his mouth and throat go dry.

He instinctively licked his lips, feeling that he needed a glass of red wine to clear his head.

By the time he came to his senses, he was already gripping Su Chengning’s wrist and had drained the remaining red wine from the glass in one gulp.

The moment his consciousness returned, Tang Mo realized with a shock what he had done.

He looked up and met Su Chengning’s astonished and surprised gaze. The sudden embarrassment caused his brain to race at high speed.

He said: “The moonlight is truly beautiful tonight!”

Su Chengning slowly turned his head to look out the floor-to-ceiling window.

The sun had just clocked out of work, and the moon, which was supposed to take over the shift, seemed to still be slacking off, having not yet arrived at its post on time.

Tang Mo also seemed to realize that his words were somewhat nonsensical, especially upon hearing Su Chengning’s unshielded laughter; he could only force himself to save face.

“Look, the stars have appeared, so the moon must be very beautiful.”

Su Chengning suppressed his laughter but could not hide the amusement in his voice: “Is this kindergarten-level awkward small talk?”

Tang Mo, who had been downgraded from a college student to a kindergartner, expressed: I am not embarrassed, I am not embarrassed at all.

Su Chengning handed him the wine glass and turned to walk back.

Tang Mo held his hands behind his back, squeezing the glass hard; his fumbling fingers revealed his inner trepidation. He followed behind, his mind churning for a way to salvage the humiliating scene he had just caused.

Every time he encountered Su Chengning, Tang Mo felt he became particularly tongue-tied.

Having already been labeled with “poor driving skills,” he didn’t want to be stuck with a label for “poor oral skills” as well.

“Actually, it was because the way you stood in front of the window just now was too beautiful, so beautiful that my brain—”

“Was captivated by me?” Before he could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by Su Chengning.

Tang Mo’s earlobes turned slightly red, but he still nodded honestly.

“It was just especially beautiful, especially attractive.” He turned his head away awkwardly, thus failing to notice the playful glint in Su Chengning’s eyes.

“How beautiful?” Su Chengning leaned in to ask him, his voice deepening a few notches, carrying a hint of seductive enchantment and a trace of undetectable allure.

“How attractive?”

The excessive proximity caused their breaths to intertwine. Tang Mo felt as if his entire being was about to catch fire; his handsome face was flushed all the way to his neck.

He wanted to pull away from this distance where he could easily smell the other’s unique fragrance, yet he also deeply craved this posture where they were almost fused together.

It felt as though if he just raised his hand, he could easily take Su Chengning into his arms and lock him by his side.

The hands hanging at his sides clenched tightly and then slowly relaxed.

Just like his erratic heartbeat, his heart contracted and expanded.

Su Chengning tilted his head slightly, admiring the adorable look of his blushing face, and intentionally said: “If it’s truly that beautiful and that attractive, then why do you not dare to look at me?”

“Or rather, were all those words just used to deceive me?”

“I didn’t.” Tang Mo answered urgently. As he turned his head, he nearly brushed against Su Chengning’s thin lips right before his eyes.

It startled him into tilting his head backward.

Su Chengning found his reaction somewhat amusing.

They had done all sorts of intimate things yesterday. Although Tang Mo’s kissing skills were also truly lackluster, Su Chengning didn’t actually mind that much.

After all, with the “unsightly driving skills” preceding it, Su Chengning felt his standards were already quite low.

“Didn’t what?”

“Not that beautiful?”

“Not that attractive?”

With every sentence Su Chengning spoke, he leaned in an inch closer. And with every inch he approached, Tang Mo took a step back, to the point that when Su Chengning finished speaking, he had almost pinned Tang Mo against the wall.

There was no more room to retreat.

The cool wall caused Tang Mo to pause slightly. Lowering his eyes, he could clearly see Su Chengning’s exquisite features that fascinated him so deeply.

Inside that perfect shell was hidden a soul that made him sink into infatuation; this was the person he had liked since he was young.

He had seen all sorts of people, but there had never been anyone who could make him unable to look away like Su Chengning could.

The man who made his youth throb with excitement was now less than half an arm’s length away; as long as he bowed his head, he could capture a refreshing sweetness.

Su Chengning noticed that Tang Mo’s gaze had suddenly become somewhat deep, as if a storm was brewing within dangerous, yet carrying a mysterious unpredictability.

He curled the corners of his lips. His slightly upturned phoenix eyes and every flutter of his curled lashes perfectly concealed the cunning light within.

“As I thought, you were lying to me.” Su Chengning raised an eyebrow slightly, his well-defined fingers slowly brushing against Tang Mo’s slightly open bathrobe. “Look—”

Tang Mo instinctively followed the movement of that finger with his eyes.

He saw the fair finger glide across his chest with a light and slow motion, yet it easily parted the bathrobe, continuing downward unimpeded until it finally stopped at his waist and abdomen.

“Firm pectoral muscles, robust abdominal muscles, straight, long, and powerful legs—”

As he spoke, Su Chengning’s right foot slid slightly between Tang Mo’s legs. Upon contact, he could easily feel the solid muscle those legs possessed.

Tang Mo’s body stiffened for a moment.

“Broad shoulders and a narrow waist—this is the charming part that every man envies.”

“Especially when this person also possesses handsome features that enchant countless men and women.”

“Tell me, isn’t it very beautiful, very attractive?”

Su Chengning’s gaze moved slowly down from Tang Mo’s chest, praising him with a tone of wonder as if admiring a priceless treasure.

Finally, he looked up at this man who was so adorable it made his heart ache.

Such direct praise made Tang Mo’s heart throb, and at the same time, left him exceptionally excited.

Especially as that playful finger lightly traced circles on his abdomen.

It was a bit itchy.

And very provocative.

Tang Mo easily caught it, wrapping it tightly within his own hand.

With his back against the cold wall, the chill gave him clarity while simultaneously fueling his yearning.

His other hand rose from behind Su Chengning’s waist, gently encircling that slender waistline.

The soft body was pressed into the solid chest; the two of them leaned tightly against each other.

Su Chengning was slightly surprised, but he didn’t show it.

He quietly allowed himself to be held by Tang Mo, his phoenix eyes filled with clear and direct stillness, seemingly waiting for Tang Mo to respond to the questions he had just asked.

Tang Mo felt he was completely unable to withstand any slight action from the person before him; even now, just being watched by Su Chengning, he felt exceptionally parched and his blood was surging.

This reminded him of himself yesterday, like a green youth, easily captured and influenced by desire, yet deeply mired in it and unable to extricate himself.

Especially the side of Su Chengning that was revealed then alluring and enchanting. Just the provocative action of those long legs wrapping around him was enough to make him surrender.

Let alone—

Ahem, he couldn’t think about that anymore.
