That afternoon, after settling the puppy down, Ni Yang had just walked downstairs when she saw Uncle Zheng calling out to her at the entrance.

Confused, she quickly walked over. Uncle Zheng suddenly stepped aside, revealing a brand-new black Cullinan parked beside the angel fountain.

She instantly remembered that He Siyu had mentioned wanting to give her one while they were in the car last time. She had thought he was only joking.Full novel: After Her Ex-Boyfriend Ridiculed Her, She Married a Powerful Tycoon — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Madam, Sir ordered this from overseas. It just arrived today. Would Madam like to test how it feels to drive?”

Uncle Zheng raised his sparse brows slightly.

Leaning against the doorframe, Ni Yang smiled at him.

“After getting my driver’s license during summer vacation when I was eighteen, I never touched a car again. I’ve basically forgotten how to drive.”

Uncle Zheng did not mind at all.

“It’s alright. We have drivers. I’ll have someone park the car in the garage later. If Madam wants to go out, just let me know beforehand. There are quite a few cars Sir prepared in the garage. Madam can choose whichever one you likes.”

“Okay.”

Before the car was driven into the garage, Ni Yang handed her phone to Uncle Zheng and stood beside the vehicle with her hands behind her back, tilting her head slightly as she smiled at the camera.

Something she had casually mentioned had been remembered and genuinely carried out by someone else.

She did not want to let that thoughtfulness go to waste.

Holding Ni Yang’s phone, Uncle Zheng smiled so broadly his eyes nearly disappeared as he snapped several photos in a row.

Ni Yang went upstairs to the second floor and opened the studio He Siyu had specially renovated for her.

The room faced the sunlight and had a beautiful terrace. The walls were creamy white, and five large cabinets lined the wall. One cabinet was exactly like the one in her studio back home, filled entirely with top-quality recording microphones.

The remaining four were for storing her tools, decorations, and wigs.

He had even bought her a beautiful chaise lounge beside the terrace. The three computers on the desk were all the newest models.

He had purchased several chairs as well—chairs with backrests, massage chairs, and even ones without backrests.

Ring lights, mood lighting… every detail had been perfected meticulously.

According to Uncle Zheng, every single item there had been listed personally by He Siyu for him to purchase. Even the layout and renovation had been recreated exactly according to He Siyu’s design drafts.

He had modeled it after her studio at home so she would not feel unfamiliar in the new environment.

Smiling softly, Ni Yang brushed her pale fingers across the desk and cabinets before finally sitting down on the chaise lounge. Taking out her phone, she estimated that He Siyu should be awake by now.

She sent him the photos she had just taken.

[Thank you for the Cullinan, Mr. He. I really like it.]

[I also really like the studio. No—it’s not just like. I especially love it.]

[Thank you.]

[He Siyu, take care of yourself while you’re away. Cotton Candy, Uncle Zheng, and I will wait for you to come home.]

After sending the messages she wanted to say, Ni Yang put down her phone and gazed out at the plane tree leaves rustling and drifting in the wind outside the window.

From the moment she saw the studio, she sincerely felt that choosing He Siyu had been the best decision she had ever made.

For an unfamiliar wife in an arranged marriage, he had thoughtfully arranged her studio and even made the layout similar to her one at home so she would not feel uncomfortable.

Who exactly said He Siyu was rigid and old-fashioned?

He was so attentive and considerate that even the boyfriend she had dated for two years could not compare.

Her phone vibrated in her hand.

She immediately lowered her head and unlocked the screen.

One message after another from He Siyu appeared.

[Such a small puppy will take a lot of effort to care for.]

[Let’s call her Cotton Candy. What do you think? If you don’t like it, you can change it.]

[I’ll take care of myself. I won’t let you become a widow that quickly.]

[As long as you like it.]

The corner of Ni Yang’s mouth twitched speechlessly.

What did he mean by becoming a widow? Did this man even know how to talk properly?

[I’ll take good care of Cotton Candy. After one month, she’ll become a fluffy ball welcoming you home.]

[Cotton Candy is a very cute name. It suits her fluffy appearance perfectly.]

[Quickly spit those bad words out. If you don’t know how to speak properly, then speak less.]

[Are you free right now? I’ll video call you with Cotton Candy?]

After sending the messages, Ni Yang stood up and quickly left the studio, closing the door behind her as she headed straight toward Cotton Candy’s room.

When she opened the door, little Cotton Candy was happily chewing on a new toy.

The moment the puppy saw her, even the toy lost its appeal. Abandoning it immediately, Cotton Candy ran toward her enthusiastically.

Her little short legs moved energetically.

Ni Yang crouched down and picked her up, rubbing her face affectionately against the fluffy little head.

“You have a name now. It’s Cotton Candy. Daddy gave it to you. Do you like it?”

The puppy whimpered softly, her watery black eyes staring eagerly at Ni Yang.

The WeChat ringtone suddenly sounded.

Holding Cotton Candy in one arm, Ni Yang looked down at the screen.

It was a video call from He Siyu.

She walked over to the sofa in the room, sat down, and placed Cotton Candy on her lap.

The moment she answered, an overwhelmingly handsome face appeared on the screen.

The man’s hair had not been styled. His slightly tousled bangs lightly covered his cold brows while his brown eyes carried a subtle smile as he looked at her.

His V-neck silk pajamas exposed his strikingly refined collarbones, and his pale, slender neck looked both sensual and alluring.

Only a dim bedside lamp illuminated the room. Leaning lazily against the headboard, he looked relaxed and dangerously attractive.

Ni Yang stared in a daze.

If Cotton Candy had not suddenly licked her leg, she probably would not have snapped back to reality. It was the first time she had ever seen He Siyu like this.

He looked far too seductive and captivating.

Blinking rapidly, she hurriedly lowered her gaze and lifted Cotton Candy’s little head toward the camera.

“Cotton Candy, hurry and say hello to Daddy.”

Ni Yang even grabbed one of the puppy’s front paws and waved it toward the screen.

Inside a luxurious flat somewhere in London, the bedroom curtains were tightly shut.

After the alarm clock woke him, the first thing He Siyu saw was the many messages Ni Yang had sent him.

Lying sideways on the bed, he read through every single one.

For the first time, the thing greeting him when he opened his eyes was not a schedule sent by his assistant.

His newlywed wife was bright and lively, completely unlike the others who feared him. She said whatever was on her mind naturally and openly.

The puppy photo she sent had been taken at a perfect angle. The little dog looked soft, adorable, and especially obedient.

Far prettier than the one he had once owned.

Looking at the fluffy little head and body, the name “Cotton Candy” had instantly appeared in his mind.

Below that was the photo Ni Yang took beside the car.

He enlarged the image with two fingers and stared at her face.

Her eyes curved beautifully as dimples sweet as honey appeared on her cheeks. She wore a retro green printed sleeveless bubble dress, exposing a large stretch of fair skin across her chest. Her dark hair draped softly over her shoulders.

Her beauty was objectively undeniable.

That face shattered the self-control he had always prided himself on.

She said she, Cotton Candy, and Uncle Zheng would wait for him to come home.

In the past, only endless work waited for him back in Capital City.

Now, someone was waiting for him to come home.

The feeling was strangely wonderful.

He replied to each of her messages one by one. When he saw that she wanted to video call, he immediately sat up, turned on the bedside lamp, casually tidied his hair and clothes, then called her himself.

The Ni Yang on screen looked even more vivid.

Her tea-colored eyes glistened as she stared at him. He noticed her swallow nervously.

Flustered, she lowered her head and bent over slightly. Cotton Candy lay on her lap as she forcefully lifted the puppy’s head toward the camera.

But the first thing He Siyu noticed was not Cotton Candy.

It was the snowy-white skin behind the puppy.

The neckline of her clothes was slightly low, and when she bent forward, everything became especially visible.

Below her collarbones was an alluring curve.

He had already woken up with desire difficult to suppress.

Now, his body became even more rigid as heat surged through him, leaving his mouth dry and his throat parched while his Adam’s apple rolled uncontrollably.
