Huā Xián: I don’t really like them…

But dare she say that? No.

“Mèng Mèng, why are you still awake so late?” She tried to change the subject.Full novel: After Jilting the Obsessive Villain [Quick Transmigration] — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Chǐ Mèng, however, kept her gaze fixed on her. In the dim light, her eyes looked scorching, but in reality, they still held unmelting ice.

“You still haven’t told me if you like them.”

As she spoke, she gently scratched the sole of Huā Xián’s foot. Huā Xián was ticklish and immediately pulled her foot back. The bells made a clear, pleasant ringing sound.

She had a premonition that if she said she didn’t like them, the torture she received during the day would probably await her again.

“Y-yes, I like them,” she forced a smile.

Chǐ Mèng lowered her head, kissed the top of Huā Xián’s foot, and curled the corner of her lips: “I like them very much too.”

Huā Xián’s toes curled, and her body tensed. The spot Chǐ Mèng touched felt like it had been set alight, subtly burning.

Chǐ Mèng was very satisfied with what she saw. She straightened up, stared directly at Huā Xián, slowly took off her clothes, lifted the duvet, and lay down.

She reached out and embraced Huā Xián, kissing her neck, her voice very low: “This is a reward for an obedient pet.”

Huā Xián tucked her neck in and didn’t say anything, snuggling into Chǐ Mèng’s arms. Her current strategy was to agree with everything Chǐ Mèng said or did and absolutely refuse to say the word “no.”

The room was silent. Chǐ Mèng’s breathing was even and shallow. If not for the restless hand placed on Huā Xián’s waist, Huā Xián would have thought she was asleep.

“Does it hurt?”

Huā Xián’s voice was soft: “Yes, it hurts.”

After saying it, she regretted it slightly, afraid that Chǐ Mèng would be displeased.

Chǐ Mèng reached out and rubbed the area. The action wasn’t gentle, but it was infinitely better than during the day. She leaned in close to Huā Xián’s ear, her voice slightly colder than before: “Then be good.”

Huā Xián breathed a sigh of relief and replied, “Okay.”

As long as Chǐ Mèng didn’t lose her temper, a little roughness was fine. The key was that she shouldn’t draw blood again.

Huā Xián was prepared to be tormented, but Chǐ Mèng quickly withdrew her hand, kissed her ear, and buried her face in the back of Huā Xián’s neck, her voice showing fatigue.

“Sleep. Goodnight.”

Huā Xián quickly replied “Goodnight.” A few seconds later, Xiǎo Jiǔ’s voice sounded in her mind.

【Target’s Blackening Value has dropped by five points. Current total Blackening Value is 1,175.】

Its voice was weak, as if it had been drained.

“Did you read too many of those comics and become exhausted?”

Xiǎo Jiǔ immediately retorted: 【Although you are Xiǎo Jiǔ’s Host, you cannot slander me!】

“Then why do you look so listless, like you can barely live?”

【It’s all because of the Main God…】 Xiǎo Jiǔ braked in time and quickly said: 【Don’t try to trick me! I’m going to sleep!】

Oh, the temper is growing. It seems you haven’t suffered the beatings of society.

With her hands tied, Huā Xián couldn’t move her body, so she simply found a comfortable position in Chǐ Mèng’s arms and drifted off to sleep. Just as she was about to fall asleep, Chǐ Mèng suddenly mumbled in her sleep. Although the sound was faint, Huā Xián instantly woke up.

She didn’t know what Chǐ Mèng was dreaming about this time. Her brows were tightly furrowed, and she looked very distressed.

Huā Xián sighed softly. She awkwardly patted the duvet with her bound hands, gently rubbed her face against Chǐ Mèng’s neck, and kissed the corner of her lips.

“Don’t be afraid, Mèng Mèng. Big Sister is here.”

Chǐ Mèng pulled her into a fierce embrace, the strength in her hands so great it felt like her bones were about to be crushed.

“Don’t leave me… don’t…”

“Okay, okay, I won’t leave. Big Sister will stay with you forever.”

Whether it was psychological or not, Huā Xián felt that Chǐ Mèng’s emotions stabilized a lot after she said that.

The two of them slept in an embrace. Seeing that Chǐ Mèng was no longer disturbed by nightmares, Huā Xián slowly sank into her own dreamland.

The next day, the sun shone brightly. The blinding light streamed in through the window, forcing Huā Xián to end her appointment with the Duke of Zhou (God of Dreams) prematurely. She opened her eyes, and a beam of light happened to fall on her face. In that instant, something seemed to enter her mind along with the sunlight, but when she tried to grasp it, she couldn’t catch anything.

“I keep having a strange feeling lately…” As she spoke, the rope on her hands broke by itself.

Huā Xián panicked. She didn’t do anything; why did it break? If Chǐ Mèng came in and saw the rope was broken, she would definitely be angry.

While Huā Xián was contemplating how to remedy the situation, a piercing crash came from the adjacent room, followed by Chǐ Mèng’s sharp voice.

“How far do you have to push me?! What else can you use to clear the way for that woman’s child?!”

Then, with a ‘crash!’, another crisp sound echoed. Huā Xián was afraid something had happened to Chǐ Mèng. She untied the ropes on her feet and rushed into the master bedroom. Chǐ Mèng turned to look at her, her expression chilling to the extreme.

“Get out!”

The room was in chaos. A water glass was shattered into pieces, and a cell phone with a cracked screen lay quietly by Chǐ Mèng’s feet. Huā Xián immediately sensed that Chǐ Mèng’s state was wrong, but before she could ask, the other woman repeated herself, her voice even colder than before.

“Get out!”

Huā Xián silently retreated, not forgetting to say “call me if you need anything” before closing the door. In truth, she knew that given Chǐ Mèng’s level of trust in her, no matter what happened, she wouldn’t tell her.

She didn’t return to her own room but stood outside Chǐ Mèng’s door, listening to the commotion inside.

The only person who could make Chǐ Mèng so angry, besides herself, was Yí Xiǎo Hǎi (池曉海).

Huā Xián closed her eyes, and the plot about Yí Xiǎo Hǎi after she left automatically played out in her mind. He was indeed still the same.

Selfish and self-serving, using Chǐ Mèng under the guise of being “for her own good.” When her emotions were unstable, he even attempted to send her to a mental hospital.

She didn’t know what had caused Chǐ Mèng’s anger this time.

After a while, Chǐ Mèng opened the door and came out. Seeing Huā Xián, she frowned, then walked past her and headed downstairs.

“Stay at home obediently. Don’t open the door for anyone who comes…” She paused halfway through her sentence, glanced at Huā Xián, and didn’t finish the rest.

Huā Xián stood in the second-floor hallway, watching her leave. Her mouth opened, but ultimately, she said nothing.

She actually wanted Chǐ Mèng to take her along. Chǐ Mèng didn’t look well right now. If Yí Xiǎo Hǎi did something else to provoke her, then…

Worry surfaced in Huā Xián’s heart.

While she was struggling internally, the doorbell rang. Huā Xián remembered Chǐ Mèng’s words before leaving and hesitated whether to open the door. However, the person outside was persistent, continuously pressing the bell for nearly a minute.

The ringing made Huā Xián irritable. She went downstairs, opened the door, and saw a familiar figure.

“Big Sister, I’ve come to save you!”
