Hua Xian was engrossed in the pleasure. She was momentarily stunned when Chi Meng asked that, then pinched her chin and kissed her. After a brief mutual rub, she pulled back, answering firmly: “Mm, I will always stay with you.”
Chi Meng licked her lips, a satisfied smile blooming: “I knew Older Sister would agree. Older Sister is so good.”
Without waiting for Hua Xian’s reply, Chi Meng leaned down again. Hua Xian fiercely bit her lower lip, tears welling up in the corners of her eyes.
Whether it was an illusion or not, Hua Xian felt that after her affirmation, Chi Meng became even more passionate—so passionate that Hua Xian was struggling to keep up.
A neat row of teeth marks adorned her collarbone, and red marks crisscrossed her neck, a sight of intense allure.
But both of them knew, this was only the beginning.
The footsteps in the corridor had long since disappeared, and the surroundings were once again silent. But the quieter it became, the more Hua Xian feared someone might hear something. Her lower lip was practically chewed raw.
Chi Meng lightly stroked her lips, her eyes wicked: “What is Older Sister doing? Biting so hard hurts even me.”
Hua Xian knew she was doing it on purpose and kept her lips sealed. Chi Meng would not let her have her way, however. She grinned mischievously and lowered her head into Hua Xian’s chest, continuing their unfinished business.
Another gust of wind blew, causing the window to rattle and suppressing Hua Xian’s faint sounds. Chi Meng looked up and said, “It looks like it is going to rain again. I hope the sound of the rain is louder.”
Hua Xian bit her arm, looking down at her, her eyes shimmering with moisture, like a delicate lotus flower recently nourished by rain.
Chi Meng’s heart skipped a beat at the sight. Her throat bobbed slightly, and a dark surge swelled in her eyes.
You are too dazzling. I do not want you to warm anyone else. So, fall into the darkness with me.
The thought sparked an uncontrollable craving. Chi Meng wished she could chew and swallow the woman whole. Hua Xian let out a low moan, delicate and weak, which was highly provocative. This further fueled Chi Meng’s desire, and her eyes turned red.
“Older Sister… Older Sister…”
“I am here.” Hua Xian’s low reply sounded like a murmured endearment, vaguely wistful, with a faint nasal quality, like a puppy being bullied.
The string of sanity snapped in Chi Meng’s mind, and reason was cast aside. She was always impulsive when dealing with Hua Xian; both love and hate were distinct.
A young nurse stood not far from the ward, her face flushed. Seeing a colleague about to walk past, she quickly blocked her.
The colleague was puzzled: “What is wrong?”
The young nurse: “Just don’t go in right now. Whatever it is, talk about it later.”
Chi Meng was her favorite actress. She would defend her idol’s privacy with her life!
The colleague thought she was crazy but did not press the issue, only telling her to go take Chi Meng’s temperature later.
The young nurse’s face grew hotter. The thought of what she had just heard made it difficult to face her idol.
Take her temperature? She felt like she was not needed for that task.
The exchange between the two lasted until dusk settled. Hua Xian was so exhausted she could barely keep her eyes open, but thinking of Chi Meng’s illness, she struggled to get out of bed.
“The VIP ward should have someone specifically in charge of meals. I will go ask. You rest for a while.”
Chi Meng was sleeping on her side, her clear, autumn-water eyes staring directly at her, making Hua Xian feel embarrassed.
She leaned down and kissed Chi Meng’s forehead, then covered her eyes with her hand, “Close your eyes. Older Sister will be back soon.”
“Mm.” Chi Meng obediently closed her eyes and did not open them until Hua Xian left the room.
【Congratulations, Master. Target blackening value has decreased by twenty. The current total blackening value is 1120.】 The moment the door closed, Xiao Jiu’s voice sounded in Hua Xian’s mind.
A drop of twenty all at once? Hua Xian was surprised by the magnitude, but a moment’s thought made it seem reasonable. Chi Meng was inherently a capricious person. When unhappy, she wanted to drag you down to death; when happy, she was completely devoted. But ultimately, the main reason was that the blackening value was no longer so high.
Because it had already dropped to a safe range, the decrease was so significant this time. To be fair, apart from the very first time, Chi Meng had been very generous, dropping by ten or twenty points each time.
Speaking harsh words, yet her heart remains soft. Adorably haughty. Hua Xian chuckled softly and strode toward the nurse station.
After a few steps, she encountered a nurse with a flushed face. The person glanced at her, then immediately lowered her head, not knowing where to put her hands.
Hua Xian: Is my charm that great? Making a nurse flustered and confused from this distance?
“Hello, may I ask where the person specifically in charge of meals is?”
“Ah! You need to eat? I will go prepare it for you!” The nurse quickly said, then turned and ran, covering her face and muttering something under her breath.
Hua Xian touched her face, wondering, Did the nourishment of love make me more beautiful?
She pulled out her phone and used it as a mirror. Upon seeing the dense hickey marks on her neck, the smile on her face slowly froze.
This is not because of my beauty; it is clearly…
Hua Xian looked back at the distance between where the nurse had been standing and the ward, then factored in the footsteps she had heard earlier. Everything was perfectly clear.
An inexplicable heat crept up her cheeks. She cleared her throat and turned back to the ward, her steps slightly unnatural.
Thinking back carefully, her voice had not been very loud, but judging by the nurse’s reaction, she must have heard everything.
Hua Xian felt a sense of embarrassment. She quickly reached the ward and pushed the door open. Seeing that Chi Meng seemed to be sleeping, she immediately became cautious, trying to avoid making any noise.
Walking over stealthily, Hua Xian sat on the chair beside the bed, watching her. Chi Meng suddenly said, “Older Sister, come here.”
Hua Xian complied. Chi Meng reached out and pressed her down to sit on the bed, placing her face on Hua Xian’s stomach, humming contentedly. She did all of this without opening her eyes, reminding Hua Xian of the past.
In the past, Chi Meng also liked to sleep with her head resting on Hua Xian’s stomach, like a lazy cat. Hua Xian gently stroked her head, petting her kitty.
The wind howled outside, and a storm was brewing, but the room was peaceful, giving a feeling of quiet harmony.
After a while, Chi Meng suddenly said, “Did you not want to know what happened when I went to see Chi Xiaohai yesterday?”
Hua Xian’s breathing hitched, and she paused her hand movements. “It is fine if you do not want to talk about it. Just bring me with you next time you go see him.”
“There is nothing I cannot say. It is just my usual messy affairs.” Chi Meng’s tone was flat, as if speaking of someone else’s troubles: “Chi Xiaohai forced me to marry Li Jincheng. I said I would not. He called my mother right in front of me and cursed her for passing on her ‘illness’ to me. Guess what she said?”
Thinking of Chi Meng’s mother, Hua Xian’s feelings were complex. Although she had only heard of her through Chi Meng’s casual remarks, she knew it would not be anything pleasant.
“Mengmeng, do not talk about it. I do not want to hear. Are you hungry? Food is coming soon. I also ordered your favorite fruits, which should be here shortly.”
“She said I was her lifelong stain. If time could rewind, she would never have given birth to me. They argued over the phone, pushing the blame and questioning each other. I was like useless garbage, thrown back and forth.”
“Older Sister, my existence is a mistake. I am worse than garbage.”
Garbage, at least, has a place for recycling, but I do not.
