Fu Yu tilted her head and fell asleep without a care in the world. She slumped toward Qing Yao, resting her head on Qing Yao’s lap.
Qing Yao looked down and saw that, under the moonlight, her junior sister was already dead drunk. Her dark lashes were weighed down by the effects of the alcohol, unable to open again.
Qing Yao tried calling her name twice, but it was clear she wouldn’t wake up.
Xiao Mei, the love-obsessed system, took advantage of Fu Yu’s slumber to observe Qing Yao. She thought to herself, This might be the perfect opportunity to deepen their bond. Since Fu Yu is drunk, as the sect leader who cares for her fellow disciples, Qing Yao surely wouldn’t leave her alone in the courtyard overnight. And since Fu Yu can’t walk on her own, the only option is to carry her. Hehe, when Fu Yu wakes up tomorrow, I must tell her that her senior sister was the one who carried her inside!
However, things did not go as planned. This “caring sect leader” seemed quite different from leaders elsewhere, her actions were often unpredictable from start to finish.
Qing Yao slowly poured a cup of tea. Xiao Mei thought, She still has the leisure to drink tea? Then, she watched as Qing Yao mercilessly and decisively splashed the warm tea right onto Fu Yu’s face.
Fu Yu jolted awake abruptly. When she came to, she found herself lying across Qing Yao’s lap. The fragrance of snow blossoms from Qing Yao’s abdomen was particularly intense, like a seductive enchantment.
With her willpower weakened by alcohol, Fu Yu, caught by that fragrant allure, didn’t immediately lift her head from Qing Yao’s lap. Instead, she tilted her head to glance at Qing Yao, her expression still dazed. “Senior Sister, why is my face wet?”
Qing Yao replied calmly, “I washed your face to sober you up.”
“Oh.” Letting the matter drop, Fu Yu then said, “Senior Sister, you smell so good.” As she spoke, she buried her face in Qing Yao’s skirt and took a deep breath. And then, she became even more intoxicated.
Qing Yao’s grip on the teacup tightened slightly, and her brow furrowed almost imperceptibly. “Fu Yu, go back to your room.”
Fu Yu wrapped her arms around Qing Yao’s legs and swayed. “No way, I haven’t had enough to drink yet!”
Qing Yao said, “Then, would you like me to bring you a large bowl?”
Fu Yu laughed, “Yes, please!”
“Then move aside first. I’ll go get the bowl for you.”
Fu Yu let out an “oh,” as if she finally understood, and lifted her head from Qing Yao’s lap.
Seizing the opportunity, Qing Yao stood up. “If I go back to my room and don’t find you there, I won’t come out again. You should return to your room early and rest.”
Fu Yu, her eyes hazy with drunkenness, her cheeks flushed, pouted and nodded.
Qing Yao walked straight to her room. Just as she was about to close the door, the door was held in place.
“What are you doing?” Qing Yao asked.
Fu Yu stood on the doorstep, which was about half a foot higher than the ground. This made her a head taller than Qing Yao.
They were usually about the same height, but Fu Yu often found herself looking up at Qing Yao. As the leader of the Guiyu Sect, Qing Yao always took the highest seat, while Fu Yu, being the youngest disciple, naturally sat at the very end.
Now, elevated by the doorstep, it felt as though their positions had reversed. Fu Yu began to speak recklessly, heedless of the consequences. “Hey, who is this beauty? She looks quite a bit like my sect leader, Senior Sister.”
Clearly, Fu Yu had blacked out.
But even in her blackout state, her mind had its own peculiar logic. “Hey, tell me, should I give up now, or wait until she ascends to immortality to give up?”
“Give up on what?” Qing Yao asked.
Fu Yu changed the subject again: “Huh? Why does even your scent match my senior sister’s?” As she spoke, she stepped off the threshold, crouched down, and leaned close to Qing Yao, sniffing and nuzzling her like a little puppy.
The warm breath sprayed against her chest, and Qing Yao, rarely frowning, swiftly dodged to the side.
But Fu Yu wouldn’t let her go, shouting for her not to run as she staggered after her, grabbing her arms and taking the opportunity to pull her into a tight embrace.
“Let go,” Qing Yao said helplessly, gazing at the ceiling.
Little did she know, Fu Yu had already fallen asleep with her head resting on Qing Yao’s shoulder.
Hearing the steady breathing beside her ear, Qing Yao let out a long sigh and then helped Fu Yu back to her own room.
At that moment, Qing Yao truly wished her magical powers were restored so she could simply wave a hand and send Fu Yu back to her room, sparing herself the effort of carrying her.
She tossed Fu Yu onto the bed, pulled the quilt over, and draped it over the unconscious woman. Fu Yu’s face was flushed red, like a ripe peach, as if a gentle squeeze would release sweet, wine-scented juice.
Qing Yao chuckled to herself. In her hundreds of years of life, she had never encountered someone with such poor tolerance for alcohol.
Qing Yao turned to leave, only to find her sleeve tugged back.
Fu Yu had randomly grabbed a corner of her clothing and was using it as a pillow.
Qing Yao tugged once, then again, but couldn’t free herself.
Exasperated, she looked up at the ceiling once more.
Fu Yu had a dream. In it, she was dressed in red, standing on the high platform at Guiyu Gate where they usually practiced swordsmanship. Below, her senior brothers and sisters were all beaming with joy, cupping their hands in congratulations.
She was bewildered, unsure of what was happening, and faint sounds of celebratory music seemed to drift in her ears.
Soon, the crowd parted to make way, and at the end of the path stood another woman also dressed in red.
From a distance, Fu Yu couldn’t make out her features clearly, but as the woman in red drew closer, her face gradually became distinct, it was none other than her sect leader, her senior sister.
Her heart raced wildly, and the world seemed to spin around her as if she were drunk.
Was today the day she and her senior sister were to become cultivation partners?
Could this be a dream?
She stared intently as her senior sister approached, and she ran to the steps of the platform to take her hand.
They offered prayers to heaven and earth, drank the ceremonial wine, sealed their bond, and the ceremony was complete.
Amidst the crowd, they were ushered into a room, and as the door closed, the world fell silent.
She and her senior sister sat facing each other on the bed.
Gazing at her senior sister with deep affection, Fu Yu uttered the classic wedding night line from dramas: “It’s getting late, let’s rest.”
Then she saw herself reaching out with mischievous hands to undo her senior sister’s belt.
Her shoulders were like heaps of snow, her legs carved from jade.
She leaned down, kissing her way up from her senior sister’s adorable, jade-like toes…
Huh… something didn’t smell right?
The next day, the morning bell from the temple shattered Fu Yu’s drunken dream.
Still groggy from sleep, she stared blankly at the canopy above her bed for a while before coming to her senses. As she tried to sit up, she suddenly realized she was holding something in her arms, something as white as snow, as smooth as jade, utterly adorable… a chamber pot.
And on the gleaming white surface of the chamber pot was unmistakably the imprint of a lip!
Horrifying! A horror story! She had kissed a chamber pot!
Gag…
Fortunately, it was a brand-new pot. Since they were visiting, the temple had specially replaced it with a new one. Besides, she wasn’t in the habit of getting up at night, so it hadn’t been used.
Thinking about it that way made it slightly less terrifying.
But how did she end up holding the chamber pot that was usually stored under the bed?
Oh my, the more she thought about it, the more terrifying it became.
My senior sister is just too cunning! And to think I even served her in my dream!
Fuming, she slipped on her shoes, grabbed the chamber pot, and stormed off to confront Qing Yao.
Bang, bang, bang! The knocking was heavy and urgent.
But the person inside took her time opening the door. Seeing her puffing with anger like a pufferfish, still clutching the chamber pot, Qing Yao covered her mouth and said, “Stay away from me.”
Fu Yu grew even angrier. How dare she act disgusted? “Was it you who did this last night?”
“Of course not. I would never touch something like that,” Qing Yao replied calmly.
“Then how did it end up in my hands?”
“You got drunk last night, so I brought you back to your room. Later, you insisted on sleeping on the floor, grabbed this thing, and refused to let go. You even…”
“Even what?!”
Qing Yao didn’t answer, but her eyes drifted to the lipstick stain on the pot.
Fu Yu was mortified. “And you? Why didn’t you stop me?”
“You seemed to really like it. You even declared you wanted to form a bond of shared hearts with it. Though I cultivate the path of detachment, I wouldn’t stand in the way of true love.”
Wahhh… Someone save me…
Xiao Mei was already laughing uncontrollably: [HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!]
