To be honest, Zhao Xunyin really hadn’t planned on doing that with Shi Nanbei so soon. Yes, she was older—but that didn’t mean she had a particular taste for “tender grass.” The main reason she agreed to marry Shi Nanbei in the first place had a lot to do with the girl’s grandmother. Of course, she admitted that Shi Nanbei was very likable, even charming. But they’d only known each other for a few days. Zhao Xunyin wouldn’t have minded the fast pace, but she was worried that the young one might regret it later.

Hmph, she still remembered Shi Nanbei teasing her about her age.

Surely, little girls were supposed to like people their own age, weren’t they?Full novel: After My Flash Marriage with the Movie Queen — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Zhao Xunyin was, by all means, a decent and self-disciplined person—but even the most self-disciplined adult could hardly resist a passionate, youthful storm. Shi Nanbei might look pure and sweet, but her thoughts changed by the minute, and her actions were quicker than anyone’s. After boldly confessing, she clung to Zhao Xunyin on the sofa and refused to let go.

If Zhao Xunyin hadn’t reacted fast enough, this little troublemaker would’ve probably stripped her clothes clean already.

Faced with such fiery enthusiasm, Zhao Xunyin could only laugh and sigh helplessly.

If she’d known earlier that Shi Nanbei was actually her fan, she wouldn’t have had to work so hard every day to please her “wife.”

“You’re in such a hurry.” Zhao Xunyin tried to steady the girl clinging to her, afraid she’d flail and roll right off the sofa.

“You’re the one who said we should spend our wedding night properly!” Shi Nanbei said with perfect confidence. “You’re already so old, how can you not keep your word?”

Zhao Xunyin: “…”

Was this really about keeping promises?

She was completely at a loss with this child. If she kept letting her fool around like this, Zhao Xunyin might really end up losing control. Her head was starting to ache, so she coaxed Shi Nanbei, promising they could continue after taking a bath.

But this little girl was sharp. As if afraid Zhao Xunyin would run away, she wrapped her arms around her tighter and mumbled, “No, no! You have to keep your word. If we miss this chance, there won’t be another! Besides, I don’t stink—smell me, I smell like milk!”

“Actually, I own a whole chain of stores,” Zhao Xunyin muttered dryly, trying to humor her.

Shi Nanbei didn’t laugh. Instead, she looked at her seriously and asked, “Wait, are you just not able to do it anymore because you’re old?”

Then, recalling Zhao Xunyin’s “advanced age” of thirty-four, she nodded thoughtfully and added, “It’s okay, I can be the top. I don’t mind.”

For love, she was willing to make sacrifices—how considerate!

But Zhao Xunyin’s face instantly froze over, as though her expression had been doused in ice water.

Be the top? How generous of you, huh?

Zhao Xunyin smacked Shi Nanbei’s firm little bottom, exasperated. “Who are you calling old?”

Shi Nanbei, not knowing when to stop, blurted, “You, aren’t you thirty-four.”

Before the last word could leave her mouth, Zhao Xunyin silenced her with a kiss—and the “aged” woman then used her exceptionally capable body to prove to her young wife just how not incapable she was.

Later, Shi Nanbei lay limp on the sofa, teary-eyed and boneless, calling Zhao Xunyin a pervert. “You said I could be on top! Then why did I end up crying on the bottom?”

“Shameless!” she accused dramatically.

Zhao Xunyin only chuckled as she gently wiped her clean. “Do you still have the strength to get up?”

“What do you think?” Shi Nanbei glared at her.

They had clearly agreed on “just once.” How did it turn into a buy-one-get-one-free deal?

Feeling a little guilty, Zhao Xunyin bent down and scooped her up. Shi Nanbei weighed barely forty-two kilos, but even so, carrying her upstairs was no small feat—especially for someone who was, well, supposedly “old.”

“I can walk myself!” Shi Nanbei huffed, still considerate despite her exhaustion. When Zhao Xunyin really tried to carry her upstairs, she struggled free and jumped down, landing awkwardly. She must’ve remembered something inappropriate, because she shot Zhao Xunyin a fierce glare.

The latter simply spread her hands and said calmly, “What can I say? I’m old—I lost control.”

Shi Nanbei: “…”

She should’ve never called Zhao Xunyin old in the first place! She’d seriously underestimated her!

In the end, Shi Nanbei climbed the stairs on her own. When Zhao Xunyin tried to follow her into the bathroom, she protested firmly, “Do you know what’s most important in a marriage?”

Having read plenty of books about relationships to be a good wife to a movie queen, Shi Nanbei lectured her earnestly, “It’s space! Space! Space! Couples need space, got it? I’m showering alone!”

Zhao Xunyin, towel in hand, replied smoothly, “I don’t like having space between me and my wife. We’re showering together.”

“I’m not!”

“You are.”

“I’m not!”

“You are.”

Shi Nanbei: “…”

Was this woman really thirty-four?

Naturally, Shi Nanbei lost the battle—she was no match for someone with far more life experience.

Gazing at Zhao Xunyin, she asked seriously, “Why are you so different from what people say online?”

Zhao Xunyin, already pleased with herself as she stepped into the shower, glanced back and asked, “Different how?”

“Online they say you’re cold and distant, that you never smile.” Shi Nanbei said, watching in disbelief as the actress calmly undid her bathrobe. “But you’re nothing like that!”

Zhao Xunyin tested the water with her hand, found the temperature perfect, and beckoned. “That’s how I am with fans. You’re my wife—why should I be cold to you?”

Shi Nanbei blinked. “That actually makes sense.”

When the movie queen said the word wife, it sounded ridiculously sweet. Shi Nanbei’s heart melted as she covered her face and walked over, letting Zhao Xunyin bathe her and lather her up with soap.

They were newlyweds, and with all that heat and affection, restraint didn’t stand a chance. Things got lively again in the shower. Shi Nanbei finally got her wish to be the “top,” but her technique was so clumsy that even the patient Zhao Xunyin couldn’t take it anymore—she bit her shoulder and groaned, “You little thing, do you even know what you’re doing?”

Nervously, Shi Nanbei said, “Not really, maybe you can teach me?”

Zhao Xunyin: “…”

So, Zhao Xunyin did end up teaching her—patiently, step by step. For all her inexperience, Shi Nanbei was a fast learner, and soon enough, they were both swept away. When things reached their peak, Zhao Xunyin—who was never great at self-control—leaned down to bite her neck, only for Shi Nanbei to turn away.

Zhao Xunyin: “?”

Shi Nanbei looked at her with serious eyes. “Don’t bite there. There’s an artery—you could cause a blood clot.”

Zhao Xunyin: “…”

Right. She’d forgotten that her little wife was a medical student. So much for romance.

Maybe because it was their first time, both of them gave it their all. Exhausted, they fell asleep almost immediately afterward.

When Shi Nanbei woke the next morning, Zhao Xunyin was already gone. The spot beside her was cold.

Having read one too many romance novels, Shi Nanbei instantly imagined the cliché: the domineering lead who disappears after one night, leaving the heroine pregnant and alone to raise their child.

Shi Nanbei: “…”

Scumbag.

Just as she was getting worked up, the bedroom door opened. Zhao Xunyin walked in wearing light beige loungewear, her face bare and fresh. Seeing Shi Nanbei awake, she smiled softly. “You’re up? I was just about to call you for breakfast.”

Shi Nanbei stared at her for a long moment, then suddenly switched into full drama mode. “Why did you come back after disappearing for so long? Do you know I’m already pregnant? What are we going to do now? I’m still in college!”

Any normal person would’ve been dumbfounded—but Zhao Xunyin, the seasoned film queen, didn’t even blink. Calmly, she replied, “Then we’ll have the baby.”

Shi Nanbei, still deep in her imaginary script, burst out tearfully, “And how will you raise it?”

Zhao Xunyin’s lips curved into a smug little smile—the perfect chance to flaunt her seniority and resources. “Even if you have ten, I can afford them all.”

Shi Nanbei: “…”

So, she’s a rich woman. My bad. Excuse me.

Her inner actress satisfied, Shi Nanbei was beaming again. When Zhao Xunyin handed her clothes, she leaned forward and planted a quick kiss on her. “A reward for you!” she said cheerfully.

Zhao Xunyin could only laugh, stroking her hair with gentle fondness. “Thank you, my lovely wife. Go freshen up—breakfast’s ready.”

Shi Nanbei blinked. “You cooked?”

“I can only make eggs and toast,” Zhao Xunyin admitted, a little embarrassed. “The housekeeper doesn’t arrive until this afternoon, so you’ll have to make do.”

“That’s fine! I won’t complain,” Shi Nanbei said brightly, looping her arms around Zhao Xunyin’s neck to give her another kiss. “Anything you make, I’ll love.”

Zhao Xunyin smiled, soft and content. “Alright then—eat as much as you like.”
