Shen Zui grew angrier the more he thought about it.

He wished he could immediately find that bastard male model and tear him to pieces.

Gritting his teeth, he struggled to apply the ointment he had just taken to his private area in front of the mirror.Full novel: After Pretending to Be a Scumbag, I Was Coveted by the Madmen — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Yet he completely failed to notice the tiny, almost imperceptible red light glowing right in the center of the mirror.

Downstairs.

Jiang Songyue leaned back on the sofa, looking down at the surveillance footage on his phone.

His breathing gradually grew somewhat rapid.

Probably because he was about to undergo secondary differentiation soon, his physical state was particularly unstable.

Now, just watching Shen Zui through the screen, he found it hard to control himself.

Especially when he thought about the marks he had left on Shen Zui, Jiang Songyue felt himself getting *aroused again.

He wanted, wanted, wanted so badly…

If possible, he even wished he could be with Shen Zui every day…

But not now. In a few days, he would have to go abroad for a while. To complete his secondary differentiation and fully become an Enigma, he must travel overseas to the only hospital currently capable of performing this surgery with any chance of success, to undergo pheromone intervention.

Shen Zui remained completely unaware that his room was under surveillance.

When he finally could rest properly, he changed into his pajamas and carefully crawled under the covers, lying face down.

The room was filled with a faint, elegant fragrance, gentle and soothing.

Breathing in that scent, Shen Zui’s consciousness gradually blurred, and he soon drifted off into a hazy sleep.

Just then, the bedroom door was gently pushed open.

Jiang Songyue stood at the doorway.

The corners of his eyes were slightly red, a thin layer of sweat beaded on his forehead, and his originally pale skin now showed an unnatural flush. His narrow, peach-blossom eyes narrowed slightly as his gaze slowly swept over the clothes scattered on the floor.

The man walked into the room unhurriedly.

Looking at Shen Zui on the bed, wearing SpongeBob SquarePants underwear, the corners of his lips couldn’t help but curl up slightly.

“Such a childlike nature…”

He murmured softly.

“How can you be this adorable.”

His eyes lingered around the room for another moment.

As if remembering something, Jiang Songyue let out a soft chuckle.

“It seems this incense… has quite a good sedative effect.”

He walked to the bedside.

Placing one knee on the edge of the bed, he leaned down.

The light was blocked by his figure, his shadow completely enveloping the sleeping Shen Zui. Jiang Songyue just watched him quietly, motionless.

His gaze rested on Shen Zui’s face, as if he couldn’t get enough. The man’s Adam’s apple slowly bobbed as he silently swallowed.

Originally, he hadn’t known Shen Zui’s secret.

It was just a few days ago, by chance, that he had seen Shen Zui’s medical report and learned that Shen Zui was actually a celestial-impaired Alpha.

In truth, Shen Zui’s pheromones did have a scent, and they automatically released whenever Shen Zui experienced emotional fluctuations.

Very faint, very fragrant—a sweet lychee aroma.

But Shen Zui’s pheromones lacked the oppressive feeling typical of Alphas. As an Omega, Jiang Songyue felt no discomfort at all around Shen Zui.

He remembered their first night sleeping together after the wedding—back then, Jiang Songyue had merely found the scent pleasant.

But later, he grew to like it more and more, gradually developing into a physiological obsession. He guessed it was probably because his pheromone compatibility with Shen Zui was very high.

Three months ago, he had believed that this marriage was merely an alliance between two families—Shen Zui was only interested in his looks, while the Jiang family coveted Shen Zui’s wealth. He hadn’t intended to hope for anything more. Jiang Songyue was not a fortunate person; as an illegitimate child of the Jiang family, he had possessed nothing since birth. Even marrying Shen Zui was for the money the Jiang family paid him, which he used to treat his mother’s illness.

But now, after gaining the identity of Shen Zui’s spouse, he had gradually begun to grow greedy for more.

He wanted Shen Zui to love him more, to have Shen Zui’s gaze fixed solely on him, and he even started wanting to hide Shen Zui away…

On the surface, Shen Zui often behaved strangely, even deliberately putting on an act of being harsh and impatient with him.

Yet, in many subtle ways, Shen Zui secretly cared for him.

Even his father, a man utterly inept at business and only skilled at squandering money—Shen Zui had still invested a considerable sum into the Jiang family’s company for his sake.

Thinking of this, Jiang Songyue’s eyes softened slightly for a moment.

It must be because Shen Zui cared about him that he acted this way.

However, three months into their marriage, Shen Zui still refused to touch him. Jiang Songyue guessed it might be because Shen Zui didn’t want him to discover the secret of his body.

Jiang Songyue lowered his gaze, his eyes returning to the sleeping figure before him.

Since Shen Zui couldn’t mark him, then he would mark Shen Zui instead.

Quietly, Jiang Songyue removed his outer clothing, lifted the blanket, and slipped inside. He pressed against Shen Zui’s back from behind, his broad shoulders almost enveloping Shen Zui in his embrace.

Jiang Songyue lowered his head, his gaze settling on the swollen, red bite marks on the back of Shen Zui’s neck. His eyes darkened slightly as he extended his tongue and gently licked the marks.

In his sleep, Shen Zui suddenly felt a wave of warmth behind him, his entire body enveloped in a drowsy, comforting heat.

And in his dream, he saw that man wearing a fox mask again.

The man grabbed his wrist, pinning him firmly in place. Shen Zui couldn’t break free no matter how hard he struggled. The next moment, the other lowered his head and bit down hard on the place that tomatoes aren’t allowed to mention.

Sharp pain intertwined with an indescribable tingling sensation.

“Mmm…”

Shen Zui struggled desperately in his dream, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t escape.

In the end, he was…

When Shen Zui abruptly jolted awake from the dream.

The light outside the window had already shifted westward—he had unknowingly slept until the afternoon.

Sitting up in bed, drenched in sweat, his breathing was somewhat erratic. The discomfort in his body hadn’t eased; instead, it had become even more pronounced.

And when he looked down and saw the unusual state below, “Damn.”

Shen Zui froze for a moment.

Had he gone mad? How could he have such a dream?

As a top-tier Alpha, not being able to mark an Omega was one thing, but in his dream, he was actually pinned down and treated like an Omega?

Shen Zui felt dazed, his gaze somewhat unfocused.

Yet, his mind uncontrollably recalled the events from two days ago.

Actually.

Alright.

There really was a moment in the middle when it felt so good he almost lost himself, but now the pain was undeniably real.

Shen Zui supported his waist as he slowly got out of bed, changed out of the soiled underwear, and shuffled out in his slippers.

After all, today’s KPI hadn’t been completed yet: deliberately tormenting the male lead.

There was no other way.

The male lead was a key figure in his plan to successfully go bankrupt. In other words, he was Shen Zui’s cash cow.

Shen Zui walked to the railing on the second-floor staircase and glanced down.

In the living room on the first floor, Jiang Songyue was wearing a black apron, kneeling on the floor as he carefully wiped it. His movements were slow but exceptionally focused. Yet, Shen Zui’s gaze involuntarily fell on the curve of Jiang Songyue’s waist and hips.

The shape was distinctly outlined by the apron.

For some reason, Shen Zui felt that the curve looked oddly familiar, but for the moment, he couldn’t quite recall where he had seen it before.
